Meet Rain, the eldest and most dangerous of Baltimore's most feared crime family.... The Porters. Honing their robbery skills since their youth, were introduced to the intricate world of armed bank robbery, diamond heist and murder by their mentor and confidant Smtty, to perfection. Fearless and daring, the Porter family pulled off dozens of licks, reaping them millions over the years. But, on the eve of their retirement, ready to leave the dirty life behind them, the unthinkable happens, changing Rain and her once close knit family forever, as every federal agency submerge and arrest all her siblings. Alone, Rain wages an all out war against the City of Baltimore in order to free her family, but a sudden turn of events will soon make her suicide-like mission to free them even harder than she ever imagined
In the beginning I really wasn't feeling this story because it was going backwards to me. Then something told me to keep reading because I know Treasure Blue is a best with the pen. and sure enough he blew this damn book out the water. I swear he did the damn thing with this book. The way Rain was trying to save her people's it's crazy. I never expected the ending at all. That was pure genius the way you end this book. 5 star banger for real.
I will start this review by saying the character development for Rain Porter was great. It was evident that the author took his time to flesh out Rain as a person. He studied and included strategies to develop and explain her way of thinking which to me, says a lot about him as an author.
Where he took the story had me floored. I almost wanted to clap once I finished because it was just that good. The events that took place were far from expected in a good way. I've read the authors work many years ago when he first started out but I will be going back to revisit that along with the rest as he has definitely proved himself to be someone who thinks outside of the box, with an exceptional imagination, that gives the reader a fully developed story. I am highly anticipating the next installment of The Circle.
The OWL Team couldn't have picked a better author to write Rain's story. Rain is very smart and intelligent and is doesn't play. You cross her or any other PORTER. Just be read to get your ass handed to you. Rain made sure family was taken care of and when stuff fell apart she made it her business to handle the situation. The ending was awesome and I sure hope "Grandpa Banks" handles his business. To review The Circle Series I would me give so many spoiler that it is unfair to the next reader. But I can say is if you slipping on this series you are missing out on the most action pack series of all time. Each character is developed so well that you are in each page you are the character. Rain is going to follow her passion.... #one-click to figure out what that is you won't be disappointed.
Let me start by saying rain is my favorite porter by far the trillest . I loved how treasure blue made the story his own and pulled you in . In true treasure form he makes you think you have figured it out then he trick you and take you on a ride . Love how he incorporated quotes that you can carry into your life your not just reading your learning too . She was so loyal to her family and was ready to give her life for them . I was shocked about smitty you just can't trust anybody . I thought miss Jackson was decitful but she stuck to her word about being the Godmom their mother appointed her as . Their father came threw
I was expecting Rain story to be just as hunting and hood as Autumn and Fallon's story. It was a more laid back mind thinking instead of the action from the sisters, Now I'm itching to read Dayvid's story.
I was not a fan of this book at all. It was extremely slow. I'm not sure if it was because it was focused so much on the past rather than the future, but something just was not grabbing my attention with this story. There were also more errors in this book than I would expect to see from a veteran author.
Once again this series has completely surprised me at the direction it went in but I must say that I love it!! I can wait to read the next part of the story, I'm hoping for a happy ending!!
I'm loving this series. This ending was unrealistic as fuck. But you know what? I been getting back in my urban fiction bag, and those books been depressing me (even though the stories are gripping!), and I need happy endings dammit! I need someone to come in right at the moment when you literally think all is lost and swoop in and save the muthafuckin day! And that's what Rain and Dayvid's daddy did.
I wasn't surprised to find out that Rain and Dayvid had a different father from Fallon and Autumn. My I have 6 nieces (last three are triplets) who all have the same mother and father. The triplets, and each of the three other girls are all different complexions. Light to dark from oldest to youngest. So siblings having different complexions doesn't matter, but other things in addition to the fact that Fallon and Autumn are both darker made me think of the twins and the two younger sisters separately. At first I was thinking it was just because they were twins. But their demeanor, their intelligence, and their complexions all made the twins distinct from the other two, so I wasn't shocked by that turn of events.
The only thing that's annoying me is that the author of the last book couldn't get with the goddamn program so I could listen on audible plus like the rest of the series. Guess I have to buy it. Because I definitely need the conclusion.

Want to read a story about a 6 year old that can divide a 5 digit number by 4 in a matter of seconds?
Want to read about a homeland security doctor who has the power to manufacture a fake national news event just to save his horrible… murderous (AND!!) estranged daughter BEFORE he has solid evidence she IS even his bio daughter?
Want to read a book that makes sure all races become some tired stereotype? (Ex: buying a suicide vest from a middle eastern, a black person being named after an alcohol, ect.)
Want to read about a morally corrupt felon who hasn’t made a smart decision in any book to date yet, has an IQ of 158?
How about a book with a scene where CRACKHEADS are paid 100 dollars IN ADVANCE to show up somewhere? (Yeah, no…they are doing drugs with that money!)
Then this is the book for you!!!
A TREE DIED FOR THIS!!!

I found the back story very interesting on how Rain's birth parents came together and had fallen apart. This character nearly killed herself by not taking care of herself trying to help her siblings out of their predicament while grieving the woman she loved. I liked that Rain figured out who had snitched on her family & delivered street justice to the culprit. The bible is correct when it says: Money REALLY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL! I hope that Rian's grandfather will be able to get her siblings charges dropped and that Dayvid is able to gain freedom as well.
Definitely the worst in the series. Ruined Smitty's character, some random white man swoops in to save the day (insert eye roll here). And totally inconsistent with the first book where Linx was the snitch and the reason the Feds were onto the siblings but in this book it was Smitty? What in the world? The author can write really well but this story was the worst in the series. Haven't read Davyid's book because it cant be found anywhere but so far Fallon's story is the best.

Current circumstances had me reading superficial novels and novellas. Just to take my mind of things. My Urban fiction binge might be coming to a (brief) hiatus for horror/thriller/historical fiction now. This wasn't edited. I've read books by Treasure Blue before and never ran into this. It was an OK read. I find it interesting that different authors are taking different sibling pov's into their hands. So I might read the others to see how they measure up. 2.5 stars
Getting to know this family individually is very insightful and exciting.I just don't like that the same pattern of information seems to continue in each book.In any event the stories and the description of everything is very precise and thrilling.I really love the way the story line is taking shape. This book was very hard to put down.I had to read it to the end, which brought a smile to my face and piqued my interest for the next book in this series.
I didn't exactly like this 1 it took me way longer to read than the previous 1's. Numerous times I had to back track then I finally stopped backtracking and whatever I missed I just missed. The family friend Jackie seems to have popped up out of nowhere!? All of a sudden Smitty did it? How? I thought Linx did it. And all of a sudden there's a white daddy? I've never read a treasure blue book before and I might not ever but we'll see.
Still trying to digest it all. It was action packed until the end. The ending was so unbelievably dramatized! How could a women of Raine's character just fall into the arms of a white powerful man and call him "daddy"? She was too cautious for that! Non-the-less, I will continue to read the series. No Sweat
Wow!!!! This story was full of plot twist! This was the best story out the series so far! Rain definitely doesn’t play when it comes to family. She was willing to crash out but I’m glad Ms. Jackie prevented that from happening . Ms. Jackie was a REAL ONE!🫡 FYI, I’m glad Smitty got what he deserved!!! The only thing I didn’t like was the ending, it was too vague.

This was MOST definitely not the ending I was expecting but I'm soooo happy for Rain. I don't know how receptive Fallon will be though. David & Autumn will follow Rain's lead though. Awesome Awesome story on Rain. I really enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed Autumn's
This book was everything! It has cliff hangers, moments you can fell what the character was feeling, moments you were rooting for them and the end is unexpected! Amazing read
