Mia Bartholomew hitches a ride on Garrett Long's motorcycle to escape a police bust at an illegal street race and is thrown head first into his plot for revenge. With his three firends, Garrett is attempting to catch the man that murdered his previous girlfriend. It is proving tricky though since the criminal's Dad has deep pockets and friends in high places. But that won't stop Garrett from trying or possibly turning his back on Mia to achive his revenge.
This book has a nice fast pace. Once Mia and Garrett meet and ball starts to roll, we don't have much of a break till about 80% of the way through. At that point the story seemed to stall for me since Garrett and Mia were just hanging in his house for about a week. Mia and Garrett never seem to address the fact that she basically moved in with him, they just sort of flowed together. I would have liked to be a fly on the wall more when they were home. We get one good sex scene but I wanted more. Garrett was very creative with Mia and I would have liked to see more of that side of him.
Mia really carries this story. She was fun and quirky but not afraid to stand up for herself and try new things. She was also pretty trusting since she goes with Garrett without learning his name and has sex with him the first night she meets him. But from his description I can see why she was tempted. It also seemed a bit far fetched that they would indulge in anal sex the second time they were together (and probably hadn't known each other 24 hours yet) without the benift of a bed, privacy or lube.
I think one of my favorite aspects of this story was the firends ship between Garrett and his three best firends. We only get a small glimpse into their dynamic and I would have liked to have seen more of them. Little tid bits were dropped about how they all had some secret or issues that helped bond them and I would like to learn more about them. Hopefully there will be future books dealing with those characters.

HOT! HOT! HOT! HOT!
From the beginning, I became a HUGE fan of Mia. She was so fun to read because she was just so REAL. From her imperfect body to her no-nonsense attitude, Mia was juuuuust the right combination of "I am woman, hear me roar" and "Where is my knight in shining armor?"
Similarly, Garrett was just the right combination of "scarred and tortured" and "protective alpha male." He had issues in his past that set his life on a certain path, yet he wasn't crippled by those events.
I especially liked the ending, when the final scenes were playing out. Regina has quite a talent for evoking emotions, even on the back of some smoking hot love scenes.
Speaking of, this book was crammed full of steamy encounters between Garrett and Mia that had even ME blushing!
In my opinion, this book has it all, and I can't wait to read more by Regina Cole!!!
