MINE #4
Forever You're Mine
Cannon Jacobs has a past he wants to forget. The former Navy SEAL has seen his fair share of death and despair, and he would love nothing more than to escape the hell that tortures him. But no matter how hard he tries, Cannon has never been able to silence the angry demons inside his head.
Cora Daniels’s life has never been pretty. Actually, it's been downright ugly at times. But when you come from the trailer park, and your mother’s reputation is nothing more than a stain on your name, it’s difficult to believe true happiness can be found. Yet, Cora lives with the hope that someday she’ll find the love she deserves. No one ever said love was easy, and Cora is about to find out just how hard it really is.

FIVE SOUTHERN SEAL MEETS SWEETHEART STARS!
K Langston has nailed it with the fourth book in the fantastic MINE series. A hard fought for love story between a sexy, swoon-worthy former Navy SEAL and the sweetheart of a woman he puts on a pedestal. Set in a small Mississippi town, with plenty of interaction with the three couples from the previous books, this story is my favorite of K's work so far.
Cora Daniels hasn't had an easy life. Born to an addicted whore of a mother, she has no relationship with her father. Her beloved half brother is the only person in the world who loves her unconditionally, but he's serving time on death row after being railroaded for a misunderstood crime of circumstance. Her mother's reputation precedes Cora, and it is an unescapable cloak that she cannot shed despite the kindness she shows people and the genuinely good person that she has become. She's been in a three year relationship - that she is mistaking for love - with college boy from a wealthy, well regarded family, but she's basically just his dirty little secret. Cannon is her best friend, and while she is definitely wildly attracted to him, she isn't sure that she's willing to risk that friendship to act on that attraction.
Cannon Jacobs is a man consumed by guilt and nightmares from his service as a Navy SEAL. To shut off the thoughts in his head, Cannon loses himself in whatever warm and willing woman is available. Lately that's been the town's notoriously crazy and unstable Alexis Davis. He doesn't let anyone in, but somehow Cora Daniels has breached his defenses and has become his girl, his best friend. As his relationship with Cora grows, Cannon realizes that he wants more than just her friendship. But in order to have that with Cora, Cannon is going to have to deal with his demons.
Will Cannon confront his painful past? Will Cora's love be what this broken man needs to heal? Will Alexis let Cannon go?
It has been a pleasure to see the growth of K Langston's talent through this series. I was taken with her from the first book, but this one is her finest thus far. She's that author who quietly sweeps in and totally captures your attention through her books. They're comfortable and familiar - but with an edge, and twists, and unexpected turns. She does this seemingly effortlessly. I'm so excited for K Langston and I'm very much looking forward to a future full of her books. Well done, K!!

4.5 Stars!!!!
“Was there an emotion greater than love? If so, this was it.”
That quote can basically sum up how I feel about Cannon and K Langston’s newest in the Mine Series, Forever You’re Mine.
I cried. That is always the kicker for me….if you get me to cry, its gold. And I had napkin to my teary-eyes more than a couple of times in this book.
Cannon – hot, sexy, country, ex-military - broken from life’s curveballs, passing time with meaningless women.
Cora – beaten down by her mother, circumstances with her brother and her asshole first love that keeps her hidden.
Whiskey and watermelon kisses, country back roads, humor and sexual tension help their friendship grow into a beautiful love story about mending broken hearts and loving hard beyond each other’s flaws. He “brands” her with his kisses and she gets him drunk off hers.
He is the type of character I love….so beaten down that he thinks he is not worthy of love when in fact, he loves harder because of it! These two overcome a lot of heartache and crazy…before and during this book.
K Langston does not disappoint in this book. Forever You’re Mine incorporates the rest of the Mine gang and their friendships and families shine through in Forever.

First of all, I've read all the books in this series and they are freaking hot!!
Cora's past is anything but pretty; in fact, many would say it's trashy, yet she's trying her best to make the best out of it. Cora is determined to not let her mother's legacy ruin or dictate her future, and her good friend, Cannon is always there to remind her that she is worth more than she gives herself credit for.
Cannon fucks to forget the pain he goes through every day. With Cora, he knows he wants more but is afraid to damage their friendship. Cora wants Cannon to open up to her so she waits patiently for that day, and while waiting they both realize that what they have been looking for has been there right in front of them all along.
Once Cannon and Cora decide to give it a try… Whew, let me tell you, my tablet was throwing out smoke and I was in need of a cold shower.... K. Langston, damn, do you know how to write a scorching hot story!! I won't say they have an easy road to happiness because it was a hell of a ride, especially with people wanting to separate them at any cost, but the ending had me getting teary eyed and wishing their story didn't have to end. ~ Kara, 5 HOT stars

* * * SPOILERS * * *
♦️BOOK: #4 of the MINE series. Can be read as a standalone.
♦️WRITING: Dual, alternating first person POV.
♦️EDITING: Minimal - only a few errors/missing words
♦️HERO: Cannon Jacobs--Former Navy SEAL, current bouncer at Archer's bar. Tormented by the loss of his best friend in combat. Uses women and alcohol to numb his pain. Considers Cora his best friend, has wanted her from the beginning and has been unknowingly falling in love with her for the past two years.
"She was my girl, my best friend, the only person in the world I let inside my tight little circle."
♦️HEROINE: Cora, 23--Bartender at Archer's bar. Struggles with her trailer-trash, drugged-out, hateful mother and the guilt that her older, protective brother is on death row. Considers her friendship with Cannon too important to risk acting on their attraction.
"I didn’t want to be his escape. I wanted to be his solace."
♦️HEAT: Hot, 4/5 - Lots of quick & dirty sex scenes.
♦️REVIEW: After two years of close friendship, the H and h finally see what's been right in front of their faces the whole time. They easily transition from friends to lovers with a few snags in their relationship along the way - one being the horrible nightmares that Cannon suffers due to the loss of his bestie and the other being the awful, vile, über psycho bitch, Alexis Davis. Yep, Alexis makes yet another appearance in this series to royally screw with our H & h. She wants Cannon back and blackmails Cora, threatening Cora's brother's possible release from prison. Of course Cora tells no one about it (ugh, geez, of course not) and ends things with Cannon, thus allowing Alexis to try to worm her way back into Cannon's life, where she finally shows him her true colors. The death of Cora's horrendous mother brings our couple back together and Alexis Davis has another mental break and tries to take them out. Luckily the bitch goes down for good and all is happy in their world. The end.
Personally, I think I'm just sick of the man-whore with the crazy, jealous OW/ex-hookup storyline.
♦️WARNINGS & STUFF: Sex scene with OW, über man-whore, jealous OW, crazy exes, H kisses psycho ex during separation with h, H with pierced junk, unprotected sex, minor anal play, PTSD
♦️ENDING: HEA. Epilogue-4 years later. No cliffhanger.
♦️QUOTE:
"So this is why God made women? He wanted men to have a taste of heaven on earth."

Ok so let me tell you a story.
There was once a hot guy in a story and I fell in love with him. Ever since then a certain author *cough* K Langston *cough* has been trying to get me to cheat on this guy....and with this story she nearly did it!!! I can't tell you how scared I was that she had made me fall for another guy!
I loved this book! I loved the emotion in it, the characters, the love....and did I mention the emotion! Oh man how this book nearly broke me! There were times I wanted to put my kindle in the freezer to stop the bad things from happening! I eventually finished it...and even though I was left smiling, the roller coaster to get there was hard!
I wanted to throat punch Cannon on a regular basis and damn was Cora frustrating at times....I wanted to knock their heads together! And there were times I was screaming at my kindle "Oh hell no!!! " and other times I was smiling like a goon! To me thats the sign of a good story! It was well written and the story moved at a pace that had you turning pages quick!
K....lady....you have another hit on your hands!! But dammit woman...stop making your men so bloody hot...its getting hard to pick between them!!

Forever you're Mine!
Yes, this book will be with me Forever.
This book is the fourth one in this series, the characters appear here and you get to see into their lives again.
This is Cannon & Cora's story, a unexpected friendship that with time turns into so much more.
Cannon struggles with the remnants of being in the military, going from woman to woman and doesn't think of doing otherwise.
Cora has lived with the woman who's supposed to be there for her, but has sadly done nothing. Fighting to have her brother with her again she tolerates the life she's in.
This was/is a beautiful story, I cried, I laughed, I felt like Nut Punching Cannon, and falling in love with him all over again. K. Langston has done an amazing job with this story. If you haven't done so, add to your TBR.

Once you let go of the fear holding you down and grab onto hope, the pain will come to an end. You will find freedom and peace quickly. It will consume you. Hit you like a cannonball, or in this case like Cannon Jacobs. Hope only comes when you start living. According to Virginia Woolf, ”You cannot find peace by avoiding life.” One word means so much. LIFE therefore LIVE.
“This is my hell to carry, and the peace I long for, will never be mine.” Meet Cannon Jacobs. A cocky war hero, a former Navy SEAL, and a natural born protector that lives by his own rules. He is always looking to escape. He carries guilt around with him, daily. He needs something desperately to pull him out of the darkness that is consuming him, making him lifeless.
“I never cared about a woman enough to be that guy. You know, the kind of guy who gave a shit.”
Meet Cora Daniels. She desperately needs and wants more in her life. She craves more than the promise of forever. She is gorgeous, confident, and just tired... “Tired of waiting for forever to happen. “
She wanted to be someone’s everything and he wanted to give her everything. She wanted to be Cannon’s solace, not his escape. “I’d had her every other way, except for this way. Her friendship, her trust, her love. But this. This tasted of something much sweeter and a whole lot deeper. It tasted like everything.”
They are each other’s HOPE and light at the end of the tunnel. They are each other’s safe haven. Hearts will be broken, shattered, torn into a million pieces. This is a powerful love story about hope, comfort, strength, love and how it can save you. It’s about living life and finding your forever.
I will warn you. You will need a fire hose, a fan, and a cold ice drink while reading this story. The pull between these two just lights up the pages. It is intense. These characters can see right through each other. Burning desire, sparks, temptation…into each other and into you.
“And there wasn’t a question about it, both of us were going to get burned.” I did too. I was hit and lite like a cannonball by Cannon, Cora and K. Langston.
Find out if , how, and when they follow their hearts and give into hope; will it lead them into forever?
“He left me with a promise of friendship and something else.“ FOREVER YOU’RE MINE Cannon Jacobs…I call dibs!!!!!!
K. Langston has forever made me a fan of her amazing work. Bringing in some of the old characters and seeing new ones make an appearance in this story made me smile. I love her work and I’m proud to say I WANT MORE!!!!

Read more reviews at A Lust for Reading. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Oh Cannon. Sexy, beautiful, damaged Cannon. I've been anxiously awaiting his arrival for what seems like forever, and now that he is finally here I am both elated and depressed. Thrilled to be able to read his story but sad because now I have nothing to look forward to. Sigh.
Former Navy SEAL Cannon Jacobs has demons that keep him distant from everyone. He uses women to numb the pain. Lots of women. But when the sweet blonde refuses his advances, they vow to be friends instead. Cora Daniels doesn't have the best family background. Her junkie mom has never shown her any love, but she refuses to end up like her. She cherishes her friendship with Cannon, but she'd be lying if she said she didn't want him. Can they cross the line from friends to lovers without losing what they have?
God I loved this story. Life might have thrown a lot of shit at Cora, t she is strong and determined to persevere. She loves Cannon but is patient with him and getting him to finally open up. Smart girl. Cannon is understandably broken, but maybe it is time he fix himself up. He has never wanted more than sex from a woman, but he wants everything from Cora. I absolutely loved how dedicated he was to her and making them work. I mean he is sexy enough already, but that true and utter devotion to his girl just takes him over the damn top.
There is some angst and a few times I wanted to scream at them both. And for a bit there I was scared out of my ever lovin' mind (thanks for the heart attack K), but I loved every minute of all those emotions. After all the build up I had for Cannon in my head, I am thrilled that he lived up to all my expectations and more.

I’m pretty sure that if ever saw Ms. Langston in public I would pummel her with my panties like I was at a damn Bret Michaels concert. That is the kind of person her men make me into. She has definitely channeled the inner bossy, possessive men and not only channeled it, but killed it writing wise. Every book just seems to get better and better. When you go into a book thinking- I bet this one won’t top the last one then you know you are working with something good.
Reading Cannon and Cora was like watching a firecracker. You know the damn thing is going to go off you just don’t know when, but when it does it’s something beautiful. Cannon is everything I hope to find one day on Match.com. He is a friend, protector and of course sex god in a truck. Cora is the female we have come to expect from K. Langston. She is strong in her own right, a fighter for her family even if it isn’t blood.
Some of the best stories that I have read seem to be the ones I just get lost in and don’t even realize I’m reading until I look up at the end of the book. This is what this Ms. Langston and her writing skills do to you, makes you get lost in the story and characters.

All I can say is that Author K. Langston once again did it. I love the Mine Series and the stories keep getting better every time.
This is the story of Cannon and Cora who are good friends from the start. Both have been through so much, but together they have each other to move forward from there past. I loved alpha Cannon and how he always took control but the kindness he had as well. Cora was a very strong woman who has hasn't had it easy growing up but dealing with her brother as well. It took a toll on her.
If you like a story with a little drama, a really good storyline but as some HOT sex scenes this is it. I promise you'll love it as much as I did. I'm not gonna lie, I cried then I got pissed off. This is what makes this book truly a fantastic read.
I can't wait for what Author K. Langston has next. I will always read her books cause it always has me till the end. Go 1-clicked this book today and enjoy Cannon and Cora story like I did.

Cannon and Cora are close friends with some serious chemistry between them. Cannon wants more and finally makes that move. Cora was blindsided, but wants more as well. Cannon has some issues to deal with and doesn't want to put Cora in danger from him. Cora is desperately trying to get her brother out of jail and be her own person after cowering from her horrible mother for so long. So Cannon and Cora live separately, but are falling for each other. I love that alpha protector side of Cannon. Cora so needs that someone to take care of her and just love on her. At the same time she needs to know that she can stand on her own as well as stand beside Cannon. I just so loved their story.
I give Forever You're Mine 5 hearts!

OMG! My girl K. Langston has done it again! if you have not started the Mine Series, you can start with this one. It can be a stand alone and it is freaking awesome, as all her books are. She writes with passion and from the heart. I love all her books, but for me this is my favorite. She has grown so much as an aspiring author since Because Youre Mine #1.I love how she keeps shit real and friendships close in her books. I fell in love with Cannon Jacobs from the start. Who doesn't love a good ole country boy? And Cora Daniels, she rocks her shitty childhood and blossoms!! This is definitely a must read for 2015!!

Oh my gracious. Cannon and Cora. We are friends. I love them. I want to stay friends, forever. I love how they develop their friendship into lovers (hot ones) and learn how to communicate and be in love.
And Cannon... dude.
Grab this for some sweet, Southern feels, along with some panty-melting. You know, if you wear any.

This addition to the series was very...meh. I didn't hate it as much as the previous book but I certainly didn't love or even enjoy it really. It had too many of my pet peeves to deal with. Cannon was definitely not as bad as Barrett but he still showed some resentment towards Cora that she didn't deserve. It's amazing how some of the men this author creates can show such feminine traits. Most men I know don't hold grudges because they see it's easier to let go of anger and hurt than trying to hold onto it just to prove a point which is what girls tend to do when they're mad or upset. But that is exactly how Cannon and Barrett have behaved when Tabitha and Cora made a mistake for another's benefit. They did it in order to protect the people they care about. Granted, it might have been easier for Cora to just come clean but I get where she's coming from. She panicked and that's understandable. After all those years of never giving up hope of getting her brother out of a place he doesn't belong for protecting her, she felt his chance of being free was threatened and did what she had to do because she was scared for a good reason. Keep in mind, the peeps. Who threatened her was a result of Cannon's doing. Had he never gotten involved with them, her brother's case would never have been in jeopardy. He was an indirect cause for their situation and had no right to be upset with her after he found out the reason.
I also didn't like how he knew he had feelings for Cora and still messed around with all those other girls. I get that they were just friends but I still felt like he betrayed her and kinda threw it in her face. She also didn't seem to be a very jealous person considering she told him jokingly about what she had heard from other girls when they slept with him. It was just weird to hear her laugh about it. I guess maybe she didn't feel as much for him because she had Dent on her mind a lot but that same day was also the first time they kissed and their feelings had just doubled right after. It was just somewhat difficult to believe they were the best of friends but had these huge secret feelings for each other yet one was also still somewhat in love with a man and the other couldn't stop himself from bouncing from one bed to the next all the while still desiring each other. It just felt off to me. The story also seemed to drag a little bit close to the end of the book where nothing really interesting happened except sex scenes. I'm no prude but it definitely got boring by the 3rd time of nothing going on except seeing them getting it on. It was almost like ok, we seen this already, nothing new, when's something noteworthy gonna happen here? Then it did and that failed for me too.
Cora was fine but certainly not my favorite. I think she let her mom walk all over her for too long. She had options, she just chose not to ask for help. Cannon was too guilt-ridden and pretty much chose to be miserable rather than face up to his past. No one blamed him and he had amazing support yet just wasn't strong enough to pull himself up and ask for help. These two were just a match made in heaven but at least Cora made some amazing progress by the end. She got her own place, refused to stop bowing down to her mother, confronted her, ended her unhealthy relationship for good, and got her brother back. She made such a huge turnaround and became someone I really liked by the end. Cannon was still...whatever to me. I won't read this again and while it wasn't as bad as the last book, I felt Cannon wasn't worthy of Cora and she could do much better. Just my opinion, though.

Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud ~ Maya Angelou
Uh, this was my first book by K. Langston. And it was pretty amazing, let me tell you. Forever you're Mine can be read as a standalone and I did. I will be reading the rest now lol
In this book you meet Cannon and Cora. Cannon Jacobs is a former Navy SEAL has seen his fair share of death and despair. Cora Daniels’ life has never been pretty. She grew up in a trailer park where she has to survive on her own. Her mother has been no help to her whatsoever. Her mother doesn't even care. It really broke my heart for Cora.
The one constant thing they've had in their life is each other. Which was nice. I really liked the two characters as well as the secondary characters.
They soon realize that they have this explosive chemistry but Cora is hesitant to do anything about it because she doesn't want to ruin their friendship which is understandable because I would do the same thing.
"Cora wasn't like other girls. Of course she was beautiful, but she ha this quiet confidence about her along with something welsh I've never been able to name. Whatever it was held my heart hostage."
The further they go along with their relationship, the more emotions are involved and they realize that it was not nothing. It was so much more, what they had. No one else would be able to break their bond. This book definitely packed the emotions because I felt a lot! Really liked Cora and how she grew and gave herself what she wanted.
Overall, I wish the plot was a bit more original and longer. But other than that this book was a fantastic read.

Burdened by her mother’s whorish reputation and a brother convicted without mercy or the benefit of the doubt, Cora Daniels has lived her life trying to survive the hardship of being with a mother who shows no love for her. Always on her own, she relies on the love of a boyfriend who is nothing more than a passing glimpse in her life.
Plagued by nightmares and a guilt that won’t leave him alone, Cannon Jacobs has spent his years since leaving the Navy SEALs, separated from a family that loves him. Always looking for a good time to help him forget his troubles, he’s never given it a second thought to bedding woman after woman.
Both are looking for that love that will prove they are worth something more than their pasts, yet neither believing it to be a possibility. Working together in Archer’s Bar, they form a strong friendship that has the potential to become even more. Yet, the fear of rejection and heartache makes it easier to keep a wall between them than giving in to their desires. The sexual tension between these two kept my kindle on potential burn out. I will always state that Holden is my favorite MINE man, but Cannon is such a worthy second.
“The struggle is real” and I wanted to beat them several times for their bullheaded actions, but damn, if their amazingness didn’t make me love them. Cora and Cannon’s story is filled with so much heartache, so much love, and that friendship that everyone wishes to have when the going gets tough.
This fourth book in the MINE series brings back all the characters from the previous ones, showing us how the friendships built throughout this series are keeping strong. Langston’s writing improves as each book is released and the intertwining stories make each as good as the last.
The feels that this story evoked kept me turning the pages at such a rate, that just reading was causing my kindle to smoke. I cried and laughed and kept going until the end as if trying to win a race. I just couldn’t wait to see what was coming next. Unexpected twists kept this story interesting from beginning to end. Once again, Langston’s characters are the type that stay with you long after the story is over and the story is one that you will be recounting again and again.
Never a disappointment!

One of the best finales I’ve seen in a series!!
This is a story that you fall in love with. You don’t just like or enjoy it. You fall in love with it with such intensity and such ferocity that will scare the crap out of you, but you wouldn’t have it any other way.
After reading about Barrett and Archer, it was hard to imagine that I would love another guy from the same series so much. But it happened. Cannon is THE MAN. I loved him with every fiber of my being.
He’s just an amazing and sexy beast of a man. He’s protective and possessive to the point that I thought my ovaries would explode. But it’s not why I fall for him.
Cannon knows Cora. He knows her inside and out. He feels her, he senses her. He knows everything there is to know about her, from the smallest detail to the biggest elephant she’s hiding in her closet. He knows her and he understands her in a way I haven’t seen a male character do in a long while. He surprised me and I loved every second of it!
Cora is a remarkable woman. I can’t begin to imagine how difficult her life has been. Her problems made mine shrink in comparison and made me feel ungrateful for the beautiful parts of my life that I don’t always see. She is loyal and loving and strong and anything a young woman should be.
I didn’t write this book. I didn’t edit it. I am just a reviewer and I feel so proud of this book.
K Langston made me feel things that I never imagined I would in this book.
Thank you for a truly MESMERIZING story that takes the reader far and beyond!!
Forever You’re Mine receives 5 Amazing Stars because it couldn’t go any other way.
NOTE
There was one or two points in the story that weren’t fully explained and it felt like jumping from one thing to another. I didn’t like that, because at least the one time it happened, it was an important point in the story. It would usually cost ½ star, but I couldn’t take anything from my man, so there you go.

Cora Daniels has not had an easy life by any means. An abusive mother riddled with addiciton issues, a brother in prison, and a father that has never been in the picture has set her down the road to potentially have the same self destructive path that her mother has been on. Cora doesn't believe that she is worth anything to anyone. With Cannon's pushing, a failed relationship with a rich frat boy has Cora realizing that maybe she is worth something.
"I need a man who will fight more me. I want a man who is not afraid to take me home to meet his mama. Who is proud to have me on his arm. Who wants the same things I do."
Cannon Jacobs is a former SEAL with a guilt ridden heart. He has regrets on top of regrets but doesn't know how to deal with them. Cannon tries to push them aside for a while by using any willing woman to distract himself for even the briefest amount of time. He knows that he is no good to anyone, least of all Cora, as he is.
"I didn't want anyone to get close enough to see the ugliness I harbored inside. Hell, most of the time the shit was too dark for me to even deal with."
Cora and Cannon begin as co-workers at Archer's Bar. They become fast friends and the person that the other can lean on. Cannon knows all about Cora's life situation and past. Cora has barely cracked the surface on what has made Cannon into the man he is today.
"Maybe I was drowning, but for some crazy reason, I could finally breathe."
Can Cora be the one to crack Cannon's hard shell and bring out the caring, compassionate man she sees? Can Cannon prove to Cora that she is worth something, everything, to him? Or will the past be too much for both of them?
K Langston NAILED this book!!! I only started reading this series a short time ago but I have devoured all 4 books now and LOVED every one of them. K Langston knows how to make you feel every single emotion that she writes. This book has all of the feels and then some!!

“Hold on pain ends.”
This was a heartfelt story of learning to live with tragedy and allowing yourself to be loved. Both Cannon and Cora have been through so much, and through each other they both help each other heal.
Cannon is struggling and hurting. He’s sexy, cocky, and he uses women to escape the pain and heartache.
“Hell is not a place you can escape. You carry it around with you.”
He longs for something more, something more with his best friend Cora. But he knows he needs to find peace within himself, before he can be the man for Cora.
“I didn’t want anyone to get close enough to see the ugliness I harbored inside. Hell, most of the time the shit was too dark for me to even deal with.”
Cora, so beautiful and strong, such a fighter. Her will to persevere through everything she continued go through is powerful. She’s exhausted and she wants to truly be loved.
“I didn’t want to be his escape. I wanted to be his solace.”
I love K’s writing style. It’s very real and true to the characters. I enjoy that we always get to see the other characters and how their lives all intermingle together. The feels of the story are strong and it was beautiful to see Cannon and Cora help light each others paths and find their ways together.
“She brought beauty into my life. She made life worth living, worth fighting for. I held her tight…her body fit against mine like a part of me I didn’t even know I was missing.”
Cannon and Cora’s story is genuine and touching. A perfect addition to the Mine Series.
“We’d found our place in each other. Our purpose.”

Cannon and suffers nightmares from his time in the military. Killing time with meaningless women. Cora didn't want be of those women. So instead they ended up just friends. Cora has had a rough life. With an abusive mother and a brother that's in prison. She doesn't believe she will ever find someone to love her just for herself. Can they go from friends to lovers? With a psycho ex lay that is determined to cause as many problems as she can. Cannon and Cora have had feelings for each other since they met. Both of them were afraid to cross that line.
Two broken in characters, both trying to get through life not only way they can. There are many emotional moments and some moments that you want to smack both them upside the head. A path see something inside the other that is worth fighting for. First they have to work through their own issues. The story makes you cry and laugh and had some deep emotional times. Keep you on the edge of your seat, with suspense and all the twists and turns.

Cannon and Cora are best friends. Each others shoulder to cry on or backup when needed. Their the perfect match in every way, they are even both equally messed up.
Cannon while being a bit of a man whore was still an amazing character, he always had Cora's best interest at heart and kept his feelings about her decisions to himself until he just couldn't anymore.
Cannon's insight helps her to finally make some tough decisions which are in her best interest.
He may bounce from bed to bed but he's a good guy, he just needs the right woman to accept him.
Cora, her mothers a horrible beast and the on again off again boyfriend is a pos as well. He pops into town with a hotel room key when ever he's feeling frisky telling Cora he loves her.
Crock. Of. Shit.
One night changes everything between Cannon and Cora and it's more than either of them ever expected.
I'm one of the few who hasn't read the entire series and will now that I've fallen in love with Cora and Cannon. Forever You're Mine is a well written page turner you won't want to put down.

K Langston has done it again with the Mine Series. In Forever You're Mine we get Cannon Jacobs and Cora Daniels story while this can be read as a stand alone it is also part of a series so you will get characters from the other books in this story.
Cora Daniels has not had an easy upbringing. Growing up with an abusive mother and a brother in jail has put her on the same path. Can she change her path?
Cannon Jacobs a former Navy Seal plagued by his own guilt for what had happened to him while he was away. Can he forgive himself and move forward?
This story has given me so many feels. I laughed, had a couple of wtf moments where I wanted to throw my kindle and I cried.
I highly recommend getting lost in Cannon and Cora's story Forever You're Mine to see how their journey to find their happiness truly ends up. You will not be disappointed.

I flew through this book. Cora and Cannon's chemistry is hot and believable; K Langston writes with enough simplicity to make her stories easy to understand, but her creativity and writing style keeps you on your toes. I'm very busy and that has slowed my reading down, but I didn't let much get in the way of finishing this story.
I think that many readers will be able to relate to the heroine in so many ways. Cora is a hard-working,sweet gorgeous young woman trying to overcome the way she was raised. Cannon? Yum...but I won't spoil their story.
...and omg, K Langston can write a sex scene...
I would tell anybody to pick up this book if you want a fun, hot, sexy read that is also deep and memorable. Honestly, I really liked the first two books and expected to really like this one ... but this was BY FAR my favorite!

what do Friends to lovers, psycho crazy b@#$hes, navy Seals and hometown friends make? A really great book with all your favorite things added in.
Book #4 stands alone very well. It is the first book I've read in this series and now I'm interested in catching up!
Cora is the character you just want to see get a HEA. With a druggy mother and a brother in prison she needs something positive in her life, I really enjoyed her character.
Cannon is a cocky a$$ who has a major demon he needs to conquer so he can have his own HEA.
K. Langston has done a beautiful job of bringing these two characters and all their Drama to life. Add in the side characters and you have a real page turner.
If I had to pick a Con out I'd say Cannon was kinda overly possessive to the scary level at points.
Book #4 stands alone very well. It is the first book I've read in this series and now I'm interested in catching up!
Cora is the character you just want to see get a HEA. With a druggy mother and a brother in prison she needs something positive in her life, I really enjoyed her character.

I don't know where to start with this one! Ok, let's start with the beast-I mean best...Cannon freaking Jacobs is the sexy, southern ex SEAL. The love my mama, love my whiskey and loose women bouncer escaping a dark past. Who is it going to be that finally breaks him? Is it the rich and sexy socialite? Or the friend from the wrong side of the trailer park? This may be book # 4 in the series, but it will always be #1 to me! My favorite so far-which says a lot, since they all rock! You can read this as a standalone, or for even more sexiness, start at the beginning working you're way through a whole lot of southern sass and amazing alphas! If it's by K. Langston, just 1-click, you'll never regret it!

This is the fourth installment in the series and possibly my favorite. This is the story of Cannon and Cora. Each were friends but they always knew there was more between them. Their chemistry was just simmering just below the surface but both were afraid of losing their friendship. One night that all changed and what they discovered was a sweet and genuine love for each other. Cannon was dealing with issues in his past with the death of his friend during battle. Cora was determined to be a better person than her abusive mother. This was an amazing story and I thought it was going to be just a regular, sweet romance that slowly unfolded but I was wrong. This story was so much more. It had romance but there was drama and suspense that made it impossible to put down.
