Well, yum!

Ace’s Key was a most excellent to spend a couple of hours.

I love stories with characters who fool themselves into thinking sex is all they need and then come crashing down when they inevitably fall in love with each other. It makes for fantastic angst and many a hot sexy time and lemme tell you that Abbie St Claire certainly brought the heat!

These characters were great! Mia was tough as nails and her snarky attitude and inner monologue were a riot! I loved her strength and her ability to take all the many things going wrong in her in stride. Ace was very much the mysterious, strong, Italian Alpha and his moves were smooth as hell. Together their relationship was on fire! The passion and tension between them was tangible and the author brought a sense creativity and sensuality to it that made it that much better.

The narrator did a marvellous of narrating this book. She really brought a whole lot of personality to these characters! All in all this book has a great plot, many aspects to keep your interest, fab characters and some hotness!

Ace's Key is a great read. I read it in two settings (would of been one if I didn't keep getting interrupted). This book is addicting, I had a hard time putting it down.

Mia is an amazeballs character. I couldn't help but root for this girl. She is strong and independent even though she loses herself for a bit. As she finds herself she becomes a heroine that will capture your heart.

Ace is the intensely SEXY alpha. He is strong and fights for what he wants when he believes it is worth it. As he grows and finds that there are times you should fight even if you think the opposite is better you can't help but love him. He is amazing and addicting.

I pray to god that Abbie writes a second book to this. I want to see so much more of Ace and Mia. I can't wait to read more of Abbie's work.

I quickly fell in love with Ace (Lucas) and Mia! I loved everything from their first meeting until the end of the book. They were destined to be together, but the road was definitely "rocky" getting there between the two of them. The supporting charaters are well written and humorous. I read this book in 1 day, and didn't want their story to end! I do hope there is a sequel in the works because there is a lot more the reader wants to know what happens between Mia and Ace!!! Great job Abbie...I enjoyed it very much!!!!

I don't give many five star reviews, but this one deserves it! I really connected with this story!

Ace is the owner of an Italian restaurant, but he's got a troubled past, and that's where he meets Mia! Mia has just gone through a bad breakup and isn't really looking for a rebound. This story tells of love and loss and what it takes to trust again! Read this book to find out more!

When two people are meant to be nothing will get in the way, not a misunderstanding or if they think they are not looking for a relationship. The heart doesn’t understand those situations it only understands heartache, love and these two people deserved to love each other.

Well what can I say after reading this scorching hot read! I’m speechless it was just wow! I know that when I read Christmas in July by this author I knew she had some amazing talent with her writing skills in the Erotic genre but after reading Ace and Mia’s story I have to say that Ms. St. Claire has gone over the top. I don’t even know where to start off but I do have to say that in a couple of scenes throughout this read my pulse was racing. I loved how Ace was able to bring Mia to the edge with his expertise, his foreplay but thing was beautiful as when they were together. Only that was not the only thing that was amazing about this story, it was about one man that had a devastating past and one woman that had one hell of a week. Together these two people are able to make something beautiful but he needs to see that he is capable of having a relationship and she needs to let him explain himself before jumping into conclusions.

Mia Kennedy had the worst luck first her boss was a jerk and claiming her work as his own, then she got a cold was traveling back home but the worst part was finding her boyfriend of three years with another woman in her apartment. That was totally disgusting and I don’t blame her for giving him the bed, there would be no way that I would be able to even put a finger on that bed. I loved her friends Claire and Ashley they were hoots and I totally loved how Claire didn’t have a filter in her mouth. That is the best thing when friends are able to tell you when you are being an ass or if some hot guy is crushing on you. She is not ready to go out but her friends encourage her and she finally gives in and joins them at Bluestone Barrel Room.

Lucas “Ace” Giordano is the owner of Bluestone Barrel Room. I loved how Ms. St. Claire described the club it seemed mysterious with the spiral staircase, the stone carvings and the blue lightening it seemed exotic. The way it was described it seemed so surreal. He was a man that was mysterious but he had demons that he was running from. Ace had been married but his wife passed away from leukemia and now he was a man that didn’t do the relationship thing. He went through women like clothing but there was something special about this woman that walked into his club, her body was made of sin and he couldn’t stop looking at her. He made a bold move and slipped her his card with his phone number on it and he wanted for her to call him so when he got a text from her all he texted back was “Come in. I’m the only one here.” Sorry shoot I would have been running straight to him but Mia ended up running away.

The sex scenes are sensual, exotic and playful. I do have to warn readers that there is a little bondage and some anal play but before you turn this amazing read away I recommend that you try reading this great story. The scenes are tastefully done and are smokin’ hot. The chemistry that these two characters have is amazing and they deserved to be happy. The appetite that they have for each other is none other than hunger they can’t get enough of each other.

Ace’s Key was an excellent read that had me captivated from the very beginning. It drew me in not only because of the HOT sex but because of the characters. The characters were very well developed and they seemed real with real life situations even their emotions. I don’t blame both of them one for running away and the other for not wanting to form a relationship. Mia was a strong, brilliant, intelligent woman that deserved to be happy and form the family that she so badly wanted. Ace was a dark, mysterious, sensual, passionate man that also deserved to be happy. When a person loses their other half it’s devastating, I know from experience. It’s hard to get back in the world and love again because thinking about losing that person again is devastating. Only that Ace was strong and what he was feeling was stronger and he couldn’t be without her any longer.

This read was excellently written with a storyline that was intriguing. I do have to say that I had not run into this storyline before which made it even better. This was a sensual passionate read that left me grinning throughout this read and even a bigger grin when it finished. Like I said before there isn’t anything too kinky or offensive when it came to the passionate scenes but I have to say that the sex was HOT so give it a try.

I totally recommend this read to all readers especially the readers that love a little spice with their romance. Thank you, Ms. St. Claire for sharing your amazing writing talent with readers! I can’t wait for the next in this series, Booty Call!!!

Lucas "Ace" Giordano suffered a great loss of his life and has decided that he doesn't want a relationship anymore. Woman are interchangeable to him that is until he meets Mia Kennedy. Mia hasn't had any luck with men she gets more satisfaction from her toys than any man she's ever been with. Coming home to find her boyfriend cheating on her she's throw him, his skank and all the bed furnishing out. Her friends decide to take her out so she doesn't stay at home and brood. So they go to the Bluestone Barrel Room. One night changes everything for the both of them. Ace is willing to take the risk and get into life with Mia however Mia is afraid and not sure she wants anything outside her career. The first night they met Ace gave her a key to his place hoping she'd use it. After changing her mind at the last minute about staying with Ace she's off on an extended business trip however she does keep in touch while she's gone.Once she's back she heads to see Ace and they have one wild night together. Ace takes her places sexually that she didn't even know existed. Struggling to maintain a relationship and work becomes an issues for them. However when finally listens to her heart things fall into place.

This was a great book. I loved how Ace and Mia connected so quickly. This book has it all amazing characters, hot sex and a great storyline you couldn't ask for anything better in a book.

What can I say? Christmas in July roped me in, but Ace's Key held me captive. Two strong willed, set minds come together in the most unique way. Lucas aka Ace wasn't looking for a relationship. Mia even after a recent break up knew that's all she wanted. Yet with Lucas she was willing to bend her wants. I don't know if I could have, but than again if I met a guy like Lucas who knows. He was alpha hot, with a bit of Christian Grey from fifty shades. Damn Abbie the sex scenes where hot, so ladies if sex scenes are your thing she delivers with Ace. I was left thinking damn where can I clone him. Lol. Loved it.

She also brought some nostalgia. It's rare when I read books that mention my hometown Houston, or Dallas that holds a piece of my heart as well. Thanks for that background setting it was sweet. I loved how you brought the scenery into play.

So guys this story might be short, and definitely room for a chance for more, it was a great read with a sweet ending. Five stars in my book. The reading was comfortable, not overly detailed, and just hot enough to leave you think wow I want what she is getting. ❤️

I received a gift copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Mia knew she was missing something in her life but wasn't quite sure what it was. She had a comfortable life with a great job and a boyfriend of 3 years but while she was content she was far from happy. Mia comes home to find her boyfriend cheating on her and decides right then and there to have a fresh start what better time to do that than with the New Year rolling in. Lucas (Ace) has had his heart shattered in the past and is not looking for a relationship at all. When he sees Mia he knows he has to have her. He is upfront with her about his no commitment policy. Mia tries to do it Ace’s way but finds she just can’t she is not that type of girl. After finally hooking up they both realize they feel more for each other than they initially realized. Will Ace finally let Mia into his heart as willingly as he lets her into his bed? Will Mia finally stop fighting the attraction she feels for Ace and give their coupling a shot no matter what label they put on it if it even has one? This story is definitely not lacking in the hot and steamy department! Buckle up for a wild ride and see what happens!

Ace's Key, the first in the Bad Boys 'N Bars series, by Abbie St. Claire is a quick read, but don't let that fool you. It is definitely not lacking in any of the important areas. The author did a great job at character building, giving depth to the story line, as well as making sure it was full of steam - LOTS and LOTS of steam.

Mia Kennedy is having one bad blow after another. Sick, sucky boss, and a cheating boyfriend. Thankfully she still has her besties who help her continue to carry a small flicker of hope for a real relationship.

However, when she meets Ace (an 'I don't do commitment' type of guy) and can't say no to him physically, Mia starts to think maybe she's not meant to have a long lasting, love relationship.

I loved the author's writing style and the fact she wasn't afraid to hold back. I'll be reading more by Abbie St. Claire!

I'm moving to italy

Well let's see it was a quick read with a lot of hot moments. at first it took me a while to get hooked into the book. I think the part that made me want to read the entire novel in less than a day was when she went back to the bar to see him. I know Italians are very romantic and know how to make a girl feel special so I instantly feel in love with him. I was like I need him I want him where do I find him.

when she came back to see him to ask him a question and she saw Francesca I knew if I was her I would turn around and run too. of course I think I would have been clumsy and knock something over making him look up and see me.

I hope there are going to be books on her friends who were mentioned in this novel. I really thought she was gonna at least get together with the trainer but alas I was wrong. overall it was a quick hot read.

My Review
Oh my, what a tasty little novella, it was just the thing for a naughty and delicious afternoon treat, better for me than the cheesecake I was craving earlier. This is my first taste of Ms. St. Claire’s work and I thoroughly enjoyed the story. Contemporary, believable, well written, hot, and entertaining. What more can we ask for? I seem to reading a lot of stories with Italian men lately, and it is making me crave pasta… if this yummy treat is any indication of Ms. St. Claire’s work, sign me up for the full tour.

No more commitments. She catches her lying, cheating fiance` and throws him out. She is determined to just have f*ckbuddies. Well, life can throw you in a whole new direction. She meets Lucas and he knows the minute he sees her that she is special to him. She feels it too but he said no commitment so she just pushed that thought away. Is she able to let love in? Can he give up his commitment phobia?
Love a good love story and this will make you warm all over. Can't wait to read more of her books.

Wow - Abbie

I read this book very quickly - I almost feel like I just finished a race. This is not a enjoy slowly book - this is read it fast so you can get to all the good parts book.

Lots of steamy scenes and not all of them vanilla!

I kind of wish it was longer - I wish we had more between Ace and Mia - a lot of time was devoted to Mia's friends and I wonder if we will see them again.

I bought this book myself and I will be looking for the second book in this series.

Wow, sexy. I want a key to Ace's place.
The scenes are hot. Not sure where this author came from, but I see on her website that Book 2 is coming. Soon, I hope.
I loved the banter between Mia and her friends, especially Clare. I hope that the next book is about Clare because she sounds like a firecracker and it's going to take one helluva guy to keep up with her.

Wow! Ace's Key is my first book by Abbie St. Claire. Now I need more. Yep, it was that good. Ace's Key is a fantastic contemporary romance populated with outstanding characters. It is written in first person, not my favorite, but the author made it work in this book. Mia came home from a business trip sick and early, catching her boyfriend and his secretary after the act. She sent them both packing. Mia's friends talk her into going to Bluestone Barrel Room where she meets Ace. Ace and Mia's story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle and misunderstandings. I enjoyed reading Ace's Key and look forward to my next book by Abbie St. Claire. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Mia Kennedy is at the airport, having been pulled from a conference early by her boss. She gets a call from him about a key to get to some technology. She gets called to the podium, and told that she's been moved to a flight that happens sooner, but is across the airport from where she is. What happens when she gets home? Why does her boyfriend have guilty behavior that has him keeping her out of her own bedroom? Who is Lacey and why is she in Mia's apartment? This was a fun audiobook to listen to. What sorts of 'activities' has Mia gotten involved with? How do those activities help her with Connor and Lacey? How does Mia get back at Connor? Where does she go when she leaves the apartment? When she gets home from her errands, who is waiting for her? What does she say and do with one of the gentleman making a delivery? When she goes onto a dating website, what happens is a HOOT. Love Mia's thought process as she is at a bar waiting for her friends. Pamela Peters as a narrator is fun. Love the conversation with the bartender. What does Mia order at the wine bar? What does the bartender Ace have to say about that? What does Mia do to Jim with regards to the staff meeting to get back at him for all her hard work? What kind of person does her boss Jim seem to be? When she's on her way home on Friday after a doctor's appointment, who calls her? What happens when she gets home? the wine bar again, and they've started requiring reservations, what happens when Mia finds her name already on the reservation list? Who put it there? Why? Chapter 6 really gets interesting quickly. You're going to have to listen to this audiobook to see what I mean. The movie that plays in Mia's mind about what happened the night before is amusing to watch. Ashley and Claire go with Mia to the mall for some holiday shopping. What does Mia need or want to buy? Where is Mia going? What kind of grilling does Ashley and Claire give to Mia? This is definitely an audiobook you do not want to miss out on. It's fun! It is one that I will probably listen to again on a road trip. There are some parts that are sad and made me need tissues. But continuing on, things got better again. Enjoy it!

The main characters in the book are Mia and Ace. Ace's one true love, his wife, had passed away. Mia caught her last boyfriend cheating on her. Both have pretty much decided that love was over rated. When one night they meet at Ace's Restaurant and Bar. Both pretty much decide hot sex and good time together was enough for them. Until Mia decided she wanted a relationship and knew she wouldn't get that with Ace. Then she decided she would not see Ace anymore. That is when the hard part comes in. The more she doesn't want to see him the more she can't stand not seeing him. Mia actually decides more then once not to see Ace again.

Abbie St. Claire does not give you a chance to get bored. The story is very fast paced. It is really hard to walk away fro it at well. It almost leaves you out of breath at times. Sometimes things switch a little too fast. I like her characters. They are well thought out and I love the sense of humor of each one of her characters. There are lots of hot and steamy scenes in the book. Some of them could give a girl some ideas :).

Pamela Peter's does and amazing job with this book. She is great with all the different characters. She keeps up with the speed, I would be out of breath.

This really is a great book. The audio book is 2 hours and 58 minutes long. One of the shorter books I have listened to but with the pace of the book it over does a lot of the longer books.

A Very Classy Read...
This is a great book! I absolutely loved it!!! It is hot, sensual, exciting and fun, but more than anything it is an erotic romance and very classy! I would classify it as more of a romance and only as light erotica. It is definitely a pleasant read. I loved the voices too! OMG, Ace's voice can make a girl swoon!!!

The author, Abbie St Claire does a fabulous job on this story! I love her style of writing and was very pleased with the entire book. It has a plot and lots of romance and tons of humor too! The narrator, Pamela Peters, OMG what a voice - her voices rock and Ace's voice is just freaking awesome... accents and all! I even loved the humor in the voices, when a character was feeling playful, I could hear it in the voices! Excellent job ladies! I am very impressed. I love erotica, but I love my erotica served with class just like you both did! TY

This was a quick listen that left me wanting to know more about Ace and Mia, so I am hoping we get a book 2! This book is a sexy little story about Mia who comes home to find her cheating boyfriend with another woman...and kicks him out...Not dwelling on the situation she moves on and goes out for a night on the town with her girlfriends and meets a sexy foreign stranger...Ace has been leading a life of love em and leave em since the passing of his one and only true love...Well little does he know that when he meets Mia..his heart will come alive again!!! This is sexy, but not overtly dirty...and a fun light listen that will really leave you wanting more! 2 thumbs up!!!!!

Erotica with a plot that grabs and holds on!
I feel very fortunate to have been able to read it in one late evening. Smooth storyline, believeable characters who are well developed. Interesting erotica involving only 1 man and 1 woman.
Audioperformer does an excellent job of giving depth and voice to the characters and flavor to the storyline.

What an interesting story! Abbie St Claire is fast becoming one of my favorite storytellers. Mia and Lucas (Ace) weren't looking for any long term relationship, but sometimes what you're looking for isn't what you get. This book is well paced, has interesting, well developed characters that are compelling. I tend to like fast, easy read and I read this in a few hours. Great way to spend a rainy Sunday.
