Radical Next is a bold, exhilarating exploration of what comes after the technological revolution, not in terms of gadgets or systems, but in terms of humanity itself. Sam Rad blends futurism, anthropology, and personal insight to deliver a book that is equal parts warning, guide, and awakening.
The strongest parts of the book examine how technology is reshaping identity, connection, family, belief, and the rules by which we structure society. Sam Rad doesn’t preach dystopia or utopia; she invites readers to see the future as a space of agency rather than something happening to us.
The writing is sharp, deeply researched, and surprisingly intimate. Despite its nearly 500 pages, the book is lively, provocative, and constantly pushing readers to ask better questions about the world they are helping to create.
Highly recommended for readers interested in AI, digital culture, philosophy, or the future of human consciousness.
