Is STRUGGS behaving well?

I enjoyed Struggs immensely. The book kept getting better and better. The story got tighter and tighter until I could not put the book down. This book is a classic. Fantastic read with lots of historic relevance! I definitely enjoyed that it took place in a time of war -- and a coming of age story never truly gets bored as sometimes it takes us a little longer to reach that point than the characters in this story -- who were forced to grow up FAST!
I read all the reviews before I bought this book and they are all good reviews. They are correct that there are hidden meaning in everything BUT WHAT MOST PEOPLE MISSED WAS that the author gave every character a behavioral problem. John has a Bipolar disorder & Bulimia. Josh & Wade have Obsessive-compulsive disorder OCD. Melba is suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The study of these problems was NO accident this author nailed pre-teen behavioral problems perfectly.

OKAY, that being said: STRUGGS was a great book. The storyline was perfect. The hidden meanings were great. The behavioral problems of the pre-teen characters were clinically incredible.

The book was exciting. It is an action adventure & a coming of age novel.

I read the book twice once for the story and once for the hidden meanings. Amazing. Just amazing!

This book has to be a movie. Don't be scared of my review -- the book is that good. The only risk is not being able to put it down!

Rollicking great read. Loved the world-building and the attention-to-detail with the colonial setting.
So real, I thought I needed grog to ward off the rickets and scurvy.
