He's caused havoc. He's brought Hell to earth. He's taken more souls than he cares to remember. When Samuel comes face to face with a woman he has centuries of history with, she makes him work harder than he's ever worked on claiming a soul.

Anauel, the Angel of Prosperity, has been charged to end Samuel once and for all. She hates who he's become, she cannot stand his existence and she plans to do whatever it takes to bring him down. What she doesn't count on his seduction making its way into her heart.

When Anauel places herself in Samuel's path, she knows what her duty is; she will destroy Samuel for everything he has become. But a big what if lingers over her mind: Can she send him down a different path of atonement or will Samuel lure her to the other side in hope of claiming the soul of an angel?

Fighting lust and temptation, Anauel will need to fight harder than she's ever fought before; for her soul to live. In hopes of claiming the soul of an angel, Samuel will find himself also fighting against something he's completely unfamiliar with; the ability to feel something greater than lust and seduction... love.

I received this book as a gift for a honest review. Wow!!! Julie knocked this one out of the park. The story never lagged, not once. The writing is superb. We come to this 3rd book in hopes that Samuel will go all soft and gooey and see the err of his wicked ways. WRONG!!! He is the same Samuel we love to hate and is only out for himself and all his depraved ways. Or is he? His one downfall could be Ana, the angel he left behind when he fell. I couldn't put this book down. From the 1st page to the last and I still wanted more. I can't wait for the next one.

Samuel Clayton, is an angel who has been through hell and back, quite literally. Samuel is a fallen angel to be exact. He has suffered Lucifer’s wrath for a failed mission, Samuel is hell bent on NEVER failing again.

Anauel, or Ana as her friends call her, is also an angel. She is Samuel’s partner, and best friend, well she was….up until the moment he was banished from Heaven-a fallen angel. Ana is also determined not to fail at her most important mission.

Two very strong characters, with a past and future they can’t escape. You will have an instant reaction to both of these characters. I promise.

Julie Morgan uses so much description that I almost felt as though I was watching it unfold not reading it. Two very strong characters, with a past and future they can’t escape. You will have an instant reaction to both of these characters. I promise.

I laughed at Samuel’s cocky determination, got worried about Ana more than a few times, and was brought nearly to tears (they were there), at the end of the book. I won’t say story, because with all great stories, this one has much more to come.

Julie Morgan does it again!!!

Julie Morgan does it again!!!

Another 5* hit for Julie Morgan. The writing in is superb, and surprisingly witty in places. The story never falters or slows down, it steam rolls to a very climatic ending. Once again we have the charismatic, albeit evil, Samuel, who we love to hate. I for one was looking for him to be all remorseful for what he'd done to Alex and Lisa. Nope, he makes no apologies for who and what he is ( Incubus, I get it), so don't expect him to be all soft and squishy all of a sudden. What does happen is Ana. An Angel. His Angel. Sent to destroy him. She's the only thing he's ever cared about, other than his hunger for power. I couldn't put it down. There is no lull in the action, and we all know Samuel, so yes, my kindle nearly melted from his voracious sexual appetite. We are lift with a cliffhanger and a promise. A promise from Julie that she is hard at work on book 4. I for one know it'll be worth the wait.

I wasn't a huge fan of the beginning..ONLY because I am not #teamSanuel, I forever will be #teamAlex. So I let this judge my thoughts on this 3rd book. Well, I'm still #teamAlex but not such a SAMUEL hater!!! I ended up LOVING book 3 and loved the storyline between Samuel & Anauel "Ana". I love Ana's strong will and stubbornness when it comes to Samuel. But I also love her determination to "save" Samuel as this is her task or is it to destroy him?? They have a history that goes back to when he became a fallen. Ana is perfect for Samuel and this book brings it out, in a weird way but it does. I was so excited to finish knowing Culmination is about to be release but also so sad for the she reason. Culmination is the final installment and I don't want this story to end.. Do yourself a favor and read this series!!!!

Samuel finally gets his story. I want him to find redemption, his friend from heaven, Ana, is charged to end Samuel. Ana believes that she will be able to save Samuel because she knew him when he was still an Angel. I think the love she has for Samuel clouds her judgment a bit. In the end she ticks me off, I thought she was stronger than she's become. Maybe she will prove my thoughts of her wrong in Culmination. I do in a sense see that Samuel starts to change which I love! But I'm worried it's just for show to get Ana on his side. I would say he half redeems himself. I like that this book was about Samuel though, it's nice for him to be able to have his side of things told as well. Loved the book can't wait to read book for Culmination. Julie is a great author and so far this is a great series. Please you must read this series!

This is Samuel Clayton's story (the demon baddie from books 1 and 2).
Ana, an angel who was the best friend and soul mate to Samuel while he was an angel, is charged with ending Samuel's existence.
Samuel is trying to manipulate Ana so he can take her soul and she will become a fallen. He is till hung up on Alex, Lisa, and their son, Jonathan,
This series has a common theme of no matter what happens or circumstances, love conquers all.
This book has a jaw dropping cliffhanger ending.

This was my very first paranormal read and Julie Morgan had me hooked from the very beginning! I had no idea what to expect and to say I was pleasantly surprised would be an extreme understatement. The storyline and style of writing is nothing like I have ever read before; Julie is truly an amazing writer. I have read this twice already and would certainly read it again! A MUST READ!!

WOW! What a fantastic series!!!! Julie Morgan you seriously rock the writing talent!! Angels & Demons, Good & Evil, Hot & HOTTER, Heaven & Hell, Devil vs. God??? So amazing……the story, the characters and HOT!!!

I’m going to cover the main characters because there are several and they are all amazing in their own way.

Lisa is a regular human trying to get a job in a regular human world just like any of us. She goes to an interview, meets Samuel, gets the job, climbs the ladder of that job and is very happy. In this mist of all her wonderful job opportunities she meets Alex when he moves into her building. They hit it off immediately – but then he been with her far longer than she realizes. He loves her instantly and it doesn’t take her too long to completely fall for him. Their love story is amazing. The sacrifices they make for each other are unbelievable. Would you go to hell and back and give up everything for someone? Lisa is beautiful, loving and loyal. She’s kind and with her on your side you have what is truly unbeatable…..Faith.

Alex is an arch-angel. He is pure and good. He is Lisa’s guardian Angel and he is completely in love with her. She is his mate in every way and she very quickly feels the same for him. However, their love will be tested over and over again. With Alex by her side she will face the truth of who he is, who Samuel is and even who she is herself. When something happens to you that completely and literally changes every cell in you, how do you cope? Well I think if you have a wonderful partner right there next to you to see to it that no matter what you are loved, then everything will be ok. That’s what Alex’s is……Love.

Samuel is Satan’s right hand man. He does the devil’s evil work and is supposed to be sticking with a plan to gain all the souls for hell. As Lisa’s boss he begins playing with her in a magical way but it’s mean and is driving her crazy. I believe that Samuel likes Lisa far more than he lets on. He makes decisions based on what he wants to do and not according to the plan. Because of this, circumstances begin to unravel for Samuel. His decisions and what comes from them start a war the likes of which neither heaven or hell has seen. But what happens when Heaven can’t have you and Hell no longer wants you? Samuel is the one to hate, you have every reason to hate him, but you just can’t. He is the person that you can’t stand to see fail, he’s the one to give you….Hope.

This series will grip you and keep you coming back for more. It’s so amazing!!! There just aren’t enough words for me to describe how great it is. There’s something about the Angels and Demons story line that’s so different from most books today. There’s no relationship drama in the normal way. The relationships in The Fallen Series are more between good and evil and friendship and love. Julie Morgan’s characters have history that has shaped them and molded them into who they are but at the same time they continue to grow with each book.

I purposely left out many aspects of the story because I just can’t spoil it for you. There’s so much that happens and the twist and turns are unexpected and wonderful. You will have to hold yourself back from reading the last chapter first!!

I hope you enjoy The Fallen Series as much as I do!!! Happy Reading!!

This is a triple review covering all three books.

It did take me a while to get into this series. I wasn’t really crazy about the voice used in these books. I prefer 3rd person to be past tense rather than present tense, it just didn’t read very smoothly, it didn’t feel natural and kept me from really getting into the story. There was also a lot of unnessasary descriptions. I don’t need to know how many spoonfuls of sugar everyone take or that they stirred it after adding the sugar. (Who wouldn’t?) Sometimes the descriptions would be so lengthly and detailed I would get distracted and not know who they were talking about until after the two pages of reading how one person got dressed.
However, I did enjoy the plot very much. Once it got going it

The first book was pretty slow to get going but it also had a lot of background and building of the world the characters lived in so that by the time you get to the next two there is quite a lot more going on.
The second book had less detail than the first, which was good, but still had a bit too much.
The take on fallen angels and the other supernatural creatures that were features was different than what you would expect which I really liked. It gave them a bit more depth. I loved how the plot became more detailed and the twists throughout the book were not super predictable.
The final book is no longer about Lisa and Alex, but about Samuel. It’s a great continuation to the story with some of the other characters who need their story told. This one could be read as a standalone (unlike the first two) and you’d understand it, but I think it would have more meaning if you read books 1 & 2 first. The amount of detail in this book has once again improved.
I probably would have rated this series a 5 if it didn’t go overboard with all the description. It had an original plot, which is something I love. But as much as I enjoyed it I found it a tiny bit difficult to get pulled in completely like I wanted. While it did get better from book to book, in the end it was still way too much, to the point where in some parts I didn’t know what was going on but I knew every detail of the setting and every move each character made. This series is great, but the amount of detail in much of it was a little too excessive, but it’s defiantly worth a read. I think this series speaks a lot of the amount of growth this author has had in their skill and would recommend this series to any who like Angels, demons and more.

Atonement (The Fallen #3) by Julie Morgan

5 of 5 Stars

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

In the third installment of The Fallen series, Morgan follows Samuel in his recent encounters with his former love, Anauel. An angel in every sense, Ana hopes to find the good which remains in Samuel despite his status as Fallen.

Round and round we go as Ana and Samuel encounter each other time and time again, Ana with the hopes of rescuing the angel inside of her beloved demon and Samuel with his mind set on seducing Ana for her soul. The eventual seduction of Ana is HOT HOT HOT because of her innocence and the patience of the relentless Incubus in the process of doing so. It sure didn't take Samuel long to convince her that his life of sin and seduction is more alluring than her life of salvation and purity. And so the Angel of Prosperity loses her white wings and finds herself on the other side of life.....

Remember Alex, Lisa, and Jonathan? They're wanted. Apparently, Lucifer sees them as a threat and deems in necessary to remove the hybrid and his loved ones from existence. Much to everyone's surprise, Samuel steps in to protect this unique family from the Master of the underworld.

Is there a defining point between good and evil? Can someone TRULY change their ways? We all like to think that the answer to both questions would be "yes." I love Morgan's work because she puts just enough detail into her stories to paint a picture but leaves enough to the imagination so that her readers can fine tune those images to fine tune that picture to their liking. I usually don't look for images to match my mental picture of characters but I did this time. The only downfall that I found while reading Atonement was that my curiosity regarding Alex's family and their fate had me nearly jumping out of my seat while trying to be patient and await the climax of the story. I am a VERY impatient person!!!! All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing behind the scenes of the dark side of the battle between Heaven and Hell as opposed to mostly following the angels in the first two installments.

Atonement is the 3rd book in the Chronicles of the Fallen series but it is the first book from this series that I have read. This book was written so that you can read it without having read the previous two books in the series (Fallen and Redemption). When I read this book, I was not wondering if I was missing anything. It wasn’t until I finished the book that I realized it was actually the 3rd in the series.

This story is about an Angel and a Demon and it is written from both points of view. Because of this, you know the thoughts and intentions of the two main characters (Ana and Samuel). However, the characters obviously don’t know each other’s intentions. Because of this I found myself almost yelling at one character or another during different parts of the book. I knew what one character was intending and didn’t want the other character to fall for it. As I was reading, however, I realized that we were not getting ALL the thoughts of the characters. So even when I thought I knew what the characters were scheming, there was enough info left out so I wasn’t convinced I knew everything and STILL ended up wondering what each character was up to. Is he lying or telling the truth? Is she going to fall for any tricks or does she understand what is going on? It really had me antsy because I knew enough to be wary but not enough to be confident where the character was going.

The end of the book came much quicker than I was ready for. I knew how many pages were left but found out that some of those pages were a sneak peek into the next book in the series – Culmination. When I realized the book was over, I was speechless because I wanted to see how the situation was going to play out as this situation had been alluded to throughout the book. I was all ready to finally read what happens and the book ended. There are two good things though: 1. Culmination is scheduled to come out next month; 2. I can go back and read the first two books of the series now! I did not read the beginning of the 4th book that followed the last chapter. I like coming into a new book not having read any teasers. Yes, I’m odd, I know...

Review of Atonement - Julie Morgan - Author

This is book #3 in the Chronicles of the Fallen
This series cannot be read as a stand alone.

This is Samuel's story.
You get to know the demon a little bit better and see why he is a fallen angel become demon.

You get to meet the woman that has a piece of his heart, Ana. Ana is an angel, and she has been sent down from heaven to dispose of Samuel, but Ana sees the good in Samuel and tries to show him that he can be better and change. If he changes she will not have to destroy him. But will Samuel corrupt the Angel first with his deceptive ways?

This story was amazing! It tells the story of Samuel and helps you feel a little bit of something for him! I really liked Samuel in this story, it made me really care for him. Which is saying something because I hated him in the first two books! Of course he is a demon so there is a valid reason for this deep seeded hate! BUT can someone be a little bit redeemable!? Well I love bad boys and he is a bad boy to the core. You also get some of Alex, Julie and Johnathon. You will be surprised and shocked at the turn of events that does happen.. I was so captured by this book at every turn of the page that when I finally got to the end, I turned the page and it was just done. I was like WHAT? SERIOUSLY? I was so upset:( BUT there will be another book AND I cannot wait to read it!! So Julie HURRY, HURRY, HURRY!!! Thank you for this amazing series! <3 YOU Rock HARD Woman!!!!

I am a HUGE fan of anything paranormal, urban fantasy, etc. I receive paranormal and get stupid with excitement. When it happens to be angels and demons, well ... you had me at hello. Especially when the demon happens to be sex on legs (or wings, wink wink). I read this in a day and a half and that is solely due to the fact that Atonement is one-hundred percent addicting.

Anauel (aka Ana) is an angel that lost her love Samuel, centuries ago, due to becoming a demon. Samuel was an angel who did wrong and was striped of his wings and sentenced to an eternity in Hell. Ana was sent to earth, in human form to either destroy Samuel, or revert him back to an angel. Samuel on the other hand, is in search of an angel soul to capture and make him extremely powerful. The way that he must capture this soul is astonishing ... just wait until you read that!

Meanwhile, there is a war brewing between Heaven and Hell over a hybrid. The angels will do what they can to protect the hybrid, although Hell wants their hands on him as well. With Samuel being a demon and Ana being an angel, what paths will each take?

Will the two be at war against each other? Will Ana turn Samuel and fight the good fight beside her, or will he capture Ana's soul? Atonement is truly an amazing read. A++++ Julie Morgan ...highly recommended. Again, if this genre is what you like to read, you can NOT go wrong here. Take my word for it! Happy Reading!!!

Ok we're off again straight into the action! This is book 3 in the fallen series and i was eager to read this one. This is Samuel's story.

This book takes place straight after book 2 and the birth of Lisa and Alex's baby Jonothan. Samuel being the naughty demon he is, is determined to gain the powers of Jonothan whatever they may be by claiming his soul. In doing this he would be unstoppable. His plan? take the soul of an angel first and then take Alex, Lisa and Jonothan out. The angel he meets is his closest friend from when he was an angel Anauel, it's been decades since they saw each other and from the first meeting you could tell the spark between them still burned bright. Will either of them admit their love? Will Samuel for once feel remorse for his actions? Will Anauel become a fallen like Alex for love? To be honest i think this is probably the most exciting installment yet. Theres a lot of action and a lot of hot Samuel action!!

I would like to say i have forgiven Samuel for his past dirty deeds and scheme's... but nope i can't quite yet. This book ends on an exciting cliffhanger, i can't wait to find out what happens. I'm onto book 4, bring it on!!!

I would recommend this book to anyone!

Julie Morgan never disappoints! It's always hard for me to read each book in this series because once I start reading them, I can't put them down until I finish and Julie leaves me waiting impatiently for more with Atonement being no exception.

Samuel Clayton is a bad boy fallen angel who we love to hate. Anauel is an angel who didn't fall. She and Samuel used to be partners and best friends until he was banished from Heaven. In the book, they meet up again for very different purposes. Ana is sent to destroy Samuel, and Samuel is trying to take Ana's soul. On top of those missions, they're fighting feelings for each other.

This is a fast paced story that never lets you put it down. The writing is so descriptive that I honestly felt like I was in the story. There were steamy love scenes, intense action, quite a few humorous moments and of course two very strong willed characters that draw you in. I wanted to cry when I finished it because I need more! Julie Morgan can't get the next book out soon enough!

I am not a big fan of a novel that redeems the villain and becomes a hero. I can understand if the villain’s evilness is coming from the point of view of the main character (the hero). Then, it is okay to twist the story. In this book, Samuel has been evil since the beginning of this series. He has fallen from heaven because of his wickedness…he has coveted Lilith and turned her to be a succubus, and he also rips the soul of every women he has bedded and sent them to hell or make them as his puppets. Then suddenly his evilness is atoned because of his alliance with the angels to fight against Lucifer? Uh-huh…whatever. If this book does not correlate to “Culmination,” I would have bypassed it.

3 fangs

This is the third book in the chronicles of the fallen series. It cannot be read as a standalone.

This book follows on with the story of Alex, Lisa and baby Jonathon. It also tells you how Samuels story continues.

Samuel needs the soul of an angel to be rid of Jonathon the nephilim for all time, but the only one he is able to get near is his old love Ana.

Ana is also told to kill Samuel, unless she is able to save him. Coming back together after centuries apart awaken them both but will they kill each other or will they try to put apart their differences.

Just like the song title by Godsmack, this book has LOVE, HATE, SEX, PAIN.....This book had soooo much, it wasn't just about Angels and Demons. I never thought I would like a book with angels and demons but with it not being all about that, I quite enjoyed this continuation. The story continued perfectly and has not left me with unanswered questions. Samuel is once again more of an a**hole but something about him makes me want to get sucked into his wicked ways. I'm looking forward to reading Culmination and seeing how the story continues. I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and read this series. This was much more then angels and demons.

Love & War

Where do I start? This book is more about Samuel and the Angel Ana who is suppose to be his downfall but she has faith, hope and lastly love. Is this going to be good girl tries to change bad boy only to get burned?
Jonathan is growing up fast, they are still trying to figure out what he is all about, what his powers can do... He does have a way of seeing things, the truth you hide from yourself.
Does he find love too? or Will death come to all that is protecting him? Lucifer wants his powers... Heaven wants to dissect him...
Can he find the safety he needs to protect himself, his mom Lisa & his dad Alex? Hmmm... Guess you will have to read it!

Another great installment in the Fallen series. The underlying theme continues to be Love conquers all. Once again we are given the story of a character we learn to hate from earlier books. This story follows Samuel and Ana. We also get a follow up with Lisa, Alex, and Jonathan. I enjoyed watching Samuel find himself and be impacted by Ana. I'm looking forward to the 4th book. The rivalry between Alex and Samuel is comical. Even more comical is Jonathan playing the adult mediator between the two. A great story of passion, sacrifice, and love with some humor thrown in. Highly recommended.

Another wonderful installment to Julie Morgan's Chronicles of the Fallen. For all of us who love bad boys, check out Samuel who we met in Fallen and Redemption as the one always on the wrong side of things. This story is all about him and we find out what/who it takes to reach inside and make him actually feel something.
