Well, this was less fun than part 1, but it is still fun nonetheless.
Overall, it is still the cliche and witty romance between former friends. I like the word use and how heartwarming certain aspects are. The use of songs to enhance the story is also a great touch and is something you'd appreciate about the Philippine copyright system (as those song insertion would not typically be possible in most developed countries' IP laws). However, giving it a three means there is a lot of criticism available.
1. The pacing can be off: Yeah, it is normal that time jumps, but I feel like it is not well done in this novel. I can't really say much without spacing.
2. Character development: The development of Kylie and to an extent, Tristan is also a bit off. Certain important aspects of the novel (such as its lessons) are not well incorporated into their story. This even extends to certain side characters where their hidden agendas are not well communicated.
3. The "Finding Cinderella" title is lost: I mean it is the part 2 which is the "chase", but the main event of part 1 where the title originated is barely mentioned or emphasised. In my opinion, as it keeps the title "Finding Cinderella", it should had still been an important part in storytelling.
Overall, compared to the first one, many aspects are lacking that makes the story not well written. However, it is enjoyable, got a lot of feels, and generally a good time. That's all I could say without spoiling the story.
