This book gives a remarkable insight into why the Lord allows His children to suffer. It will speak to those who have had spiritual attacks and many trials. You will also gain insight on how the Lord has not abandoned us and what to pay attention to in the end times. This book is still very beneficial for those who are not suffering at this time because it gives warnings on what to be praying about and how to not get trapped or deceived by the devils deception. This book is very spiritually deep and is an eye-opener for Gods people, no matter if your a new believer or a full-blown Jesus Freak! Pass this book along because I believe it's a guide, beside the Bible, for Christian in these end days. There is more testing and destruction in the world then ever before. This book will inspire you to not give up on Him and know that His love for His children, truly is unmeasurable.

A Glimpse of the Heart of God

If there's anything I took away from this read, it really boils down to how differently God sees things than we do. In His magnificence and omniscience, He manages to love with a magnitude of love that none of us could possibly comprehend. I found such comfort in so many of the stories shared. Of how nothing happens to His children unseen. I was inspired to pursue Him more, to never lose sight of Him. It's amazing how good He is. He is indeed Love!

I read an advance copy of this book and would highly recommend it to anyone searching for truth. Those who have dismissed God from their lives due to some kind of heartache will receive remarkable insight on why they have had to suffer so much. It also makes for essential reading for believers, opening up a heart of compassion for family and friends who are in pain. The scales will literally fall off your eyes as you begin to understand some of what is taking place behind the scenes in the spirit realm. Wendy's visions have an extraordinary ability to help readers come to grips with the bigger picture of their lives, creating a safe place to overcome feelings of fear, guilt or shame. It is truly liberating.

Such a beautiful and amazing book. Reminded me of Rick Joyner’s visions. A true woman of God.

Good, but I wanted it to be better. Disappointed.

The first issue the reader must resolve is: what is this? A literal vision? Creative fiction? Self-promotion? Supposed Christians have been claiming visits to the heavenly realms for centuries. Some fail due to internal inconsistencies; others conflict with the Bible; others provide encouragement similar to the Revelation of Jesus Christ to John on Patmos, which has the additional advantage of being in the Bible. Alec’s description of it as a “prophetic journal” triggers further questions. (One blurb praised its “allegorical drama.” That same blurb compared her to C. S. Lewis, raising the issue whether the reviewer read either this book or Lewis’.) Since several chronological/logical excursions inside the narrative indicate it is not literal fact, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and read this book as inspired fiction.

Even setting the bar that low, Visions from Heaven: Visitations to My Father's Chamber could have be better presented. It needs a good editor. (The Wikipedia articles about Alec and her books share vocabulary and sentence structure with this book.)

Visions from Heaven: Visitations to My Father's Chamber will encourage those who can take it at face value. Alec promotes God’s awareness and caring about the circumstances and sufferings of all his people, and his provision for them. Just because they haven’t heard from Him or his “official” representatives doesn’t mean they’ve been abandoned. That point is repeated often.

Wendy Alec has experienced more than her share of suffering, so she speaks with authority on how the presence of God in her life has supported her.

This book is the best book I've ever read.

Obviously a spiritual book, its most significant yet underlying theme is this woman's relationship and experience with the Father. It is an encouraging book—quite literally life-changing—and a must-read if your relationship with God lacks intimacy. This book will certainly convict you of that and push you into a personal relationship with the personal Saviour of your soul.

Something that stood out to me was the lack of condemnation. The Father is filled with such love. I saw how the author would sit on His lap, how another would make a plate of dinner for our spiritual God, how she would stay up late exchanging secrets with her Father, kissing His cheek affectionately. My heartstrings pulled at the thought that someone could engage with God in this way.

"The secrets of God are with those that fear Him, or rather, those that love Him—more and more and more than everything."

This book taught me what loving God looks like, what the Father desires—even more than we do.

I saw men of God who had fallen into sin. The book highlighted how those in the kingdom of darkness will literally have assignments to search out our weaknesses and prey on our downfall.

God is so, so, so compassionate. I wouldn't call Him emotional, but certainly, Jesus feels our infirmities personally. He cries with us. He cries for us. He cries after our souls. He is so gentle and forgiving. Never would He be offended by us.

Blasphemy is not what we think it is.
Blasphemy is when someone speaks contrary to the Word.
When you say, "I can't do this," it's blasphemous to the spirit that God created—the Spirit who has been given literally the world and a testimony within us that He has overcome!

This one should be 6 stars! Amazing book reminiscent of Rick Joyner's The Call and Final Quest. This book will cut across your bones and marrows and hit you on the heart. It will be life changing for many especially those that are going through difficult times in their lives and those who have lost a loved one. In this book, you will understand why God sometimes allow bad things to happen to His children. You will learn His ultimate purpose that beautifully transcends and makes up for the hard time you went through. I am sure to read this book over again and unreservedly recommend this to everyone!

After starting the opening chapters, I nearly gave up on this book. I am so glad that I didn't.

Because of personal preferences, I sometimes find it difficult to relate to people whose intimacy with God comes across as overly sentimental. I don't have a theological problem with it, I just prefer it to be kept in their prayer closets, between them and God.

But I stuck with the book because the person who gave it to me I respect, and also because I felt for the author such compassion in her physical ailment and wanted to see how God healed her. Once I got past the personal style preference, this book ministered to me profoundly.

[spoilers]
The battle scene in which the apostles and prophets were all marching with purpose but in different directions while the watchmen were being taken out was especially poignant. That is exactly what is happening in this hour. Apostles and prophets are equipped but don't seem to be marching in step.

Alec also describes seeing various veteran pastors who had wounds all over their bodies; some had arrows in them which Jesus had to remove. This really resonated with me: about a year ago, I was in a service in which the preacher was talking about spiritual warfare and deliverance, and there was another pastor who came up himself to receive ministry at the altar call. In his past, an associate pastor had come in to help him, but instead began circulating gossip and creating factions within this senior pastor's church. This senior pastor had never fully recovered from that. When he got prayer at the altar, he said it was as though a literal knife had been removed from his back.

The last couple chapters, particularly what Alec writes about "habitation" -- whew. Yes. This is what I've been crying out for. Such a desire to see the kingdom come here on earth like never before, but most of all the dwelling of Christ among us.

The Spirit and the bride say come, Lord.

In reading the reviews of others prior to posting mine, a few clarifications need to be made:

Yes, when Wendy was so ill, she was indeed taken up to the heavens (a special dispensation from God) to encourage and uplift her in her time of suffering. Suffering is a topic that is rarely addressed in today's churches. It has not disappeared from the Bible though. Yes, God heals and yes, Jesus healed all those who came to Him as He ministered on earth in Israel. The current theology that says, Jesus heals all now "if we have enough faith" is incorrect. There are seasons of suffering and Wendy is honest in her experiences. God uses suffering for His own plans and purposes. God's ways are not ours and neither are His thoughts our thoughts. This book gives insight into both.

There is one other distinction I need to make, given the many who are questioning this book as an allegory or a made up story. The other encounters Wendy has are open visions or sleeping visions. Traditional churches who do not believe in the gifts of the Spirit nor give Holy Spirit His rightful place, cannot grasp this truth. It may appear made-up or a story, but they are real encounters and real events that took place in the heavenly realm.

Wendy is a Prophetic Seer. A Seer, sees in the Spirit realm like you and I see the world around us. As a Prophetic Seer, God reveals things to Wendy that have yet to happen and much of what she has written in this book is now coming to pass today, if you are awake and on alert, abiding in Jesus as John 15 admonishes us to do.

As a Prophetic Seer Intercessor I understand completely. Many are asleep right now. It's time to wake up.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is suffering, is feeling isolated and alone or that God has abandoned them. I also recommend this book for every Holy Spirit filled Believer as the days are evil and the time is short.

Beautiful Depth of Message and Penetrating Insight

I loved the beautiful depth of message and penetrating perception of the mysterious purpose of suffering in our Christian pilgrimage. Victim souls have been a vital part of the Roman Catholic tradition and heritage but misunderstood by many. Look at the life of John of the Cross; a great mystic who suffered deeply both physically and spiritually.
It is exciting to see what God is doing in the Evangelical Christian Churches.
I loved her Chronicles of the Brothers. I am now ready to read Pale Horse the fourth book in the series.

Timely and Deeply Encouraging

This book advertised on Elijah List is by far one of the most edifying books I've ever read in the most timely season to read it...a season of testing...of sifting that is fast approaching its end. The words shared in this book from the Father's Heart has catapulted me into a deeper revelation and reacquaintance with Jesus love for me after many months and weeks of asking,"Why did THAT happen... Why was it allowed to happen?" Alec's book confirms to me the WHY that I eventually was led to in my Spirit and encouraged me to believe in the full restoration and restitution that comes after the morning.

I really wanted to love this book. Especially because I finished it in just 4 days. I loved the ideas and some chapters were eye opening and I enjoyed reading them. However some chapters were quite confusing to read. It made it difficult to understand which then made it less enjoyable. I wish there was a foreword that explained exactly how, when and where she received this information. Overall I think this could be a really good book and I love the information she is sharing to the world. I personally just found it difficult to comprehend. (& that’s a me problem) ❤️

Knowing our Great Lord

This book is one of the finest books I've read. Wendy fell very I'll and didn't understand the whys. As the illness grew worse, she had a visitation from heaven that took her, and Jesus lovingly guided her to help her gain experiential knowledge of her beautiful Heavenly Father and His great wisdom, knowledge and love. This was not just for her but for us the readers. My words do this book no justice. Please read this. You won't be the same.

If you are currently going through a season of loss, devastation or feel completely abandoned this book is for you. It is an amazing literary work by one of the premier authors in the christian book space. She chronicles a time where she went through a "Job" experience and how it looked from the Father's perspective. I highly recommend this book to those in need of hope in the time of their greatest trials.

A very deep spiritual insight of what is happening in the spirit realm. Seek the Father in His presence continuously. Never give up on Him His words He is faithful. The evil one wants you to give up your faith and call Father a liar. Never give up. Draw close to Him and He will draw near to you. He is always with you. The insight written in this book will cause you too understand what I have written here. Hold on He will answer you and honor His word.

God has so much in store for us as we seek His Presence. There were parts of the book that had me weeping. Our Heavenly Father wants us to pursue Him. The worship is what He desires.

James 5:11-13 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
11 You know how we call those blessed (happy) who were steadfast [who endured]. You have heard of the endurance of Job, and you have seen the Lord’s [purpose and how He richly blessed him in the] end, inasmuch as the Lord is full of pity and compassion and tenderness and mercy.

It delights the Father when we overcome

The author endured extreme hardships, never denying Christ. She felt like a failure, but in an encounter with Christ, He reveals how much He delights when we cling to Him. Greater than any other exploit we can do for him.

Easy and vivid read.

Very encouraging.

This book is not for everyone. It recounts a major illness of Wendy Alec, the co-founder of GOD TV in Europe and a Christian media specialist who has written novels which are being put into films.

She is a woman who is sensitive to the voice of God, who has a spiritually mature marriage, and who knows the Bible.

However, she went through a two-year ordeal with a rare disease which caused constant pain and which almost killed her. During this agonizing period in which she occasionally would have preferred to die and she felt abandoned by God, she was taken to Heaven frequently. During this time, she was ministered to by angels, people in Heaven and Jesus and God the Father.

From this point in the review, I will give my opinion, which in some ways varies from her interpretation of her experiences.

She says she was told by God that she was being tested by Satan with God's permission, giving the impression that there was no legal right of entrance of this demonic attack. She says that God told her that the interpretation of the faith movement that Job had an open door from the sin of fear is incorrect.

I am not going to question the experience of a person who has gone to Heaven and been in the presence of God, especially when she has been given a gift of writing.

However, I see a relationship between Satan's attack and her acknowledging that she has a driven personality who did not spend time resting and playing. This is reinforced by the many times that she visited Heaven when God told her to rest and play. This occurred for months. I think this was the open door that allowed Satan to attack her.

This book has profound examples of the many ways in which the Church today is abandoning its spiritually wounded, judging people for their habits instead of restoring them in love, living for things rather than for the things of God, not having a heart for evangelism, and not flowing in all 5 ministry gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher. These examples show how the Church is not functioning as a smoothly efficient army where communication, planning, warfare and care of the wounded all flow together.

The book ends in optimism with God showing that the Church will change and the greatest revival in history will occur. During this time, the Church will assume the roles it should have had in the government, economy, health and entertainment.

When this happens, the world will be a different place.

This book is not for everyone. It is not for every Christian. It is not even for every Spirit-filled Christian. It is only for someone who is dissatisfied with the impact his congregation is having on the world and is willing to admit his shortcomings and make some radical changes.

People who are going to read this book without a willingness to open his heart to hear how God really wants him to change are wasting their time.

Do I agree with everything in this book? No. But did it show me some major areas in which I need to change? Yes. So I am glad that I read it.

This was such a powerful book that reminded me a lot of the book series by Rick Joyner "The Final Quest". I saw my life in so many parts of this book and could relate to the season of suffering the author referred to as my mom passed away 3 1/2 years ago & my life dramatically changed and in many areas of my life I felt challenged & spiritually attacked. My brother passed away from cancer last year & that was such a blow to me & it shook me a lot. But I have stood fast in my faith, even when at times it did feel like I was only hanging on by a string. When she told the part of the Father telling her that when she clung to Him during her trials was one of the greatest acts of faith of her earthly life that made me cry. She felt that during that time her faith was practically nonexistent & she felt guilty that she wasn't able to stand stronger. But that clinging, even by a string of faith during the hardest part of her life when she could've easily let go completely, was seen by Heaven as a great act of faith. That was tremendously encouraging to me. If you've experienced loss and suffering in your Christian walk, this is a great book of revelations of the Father's love & how He is there with you through it all.

Best books we.

Many of the father daughter moments brought me to tears. I've been asking and needing God to show me His love. This book surely brought it. I'm in a tough season of leaving behind a religious Spirit and moving into freedom. It's been like a total mind set learning and experiencing Jesus love for myself and not just relying on what I've been taught all of my life. This book is very clear and very visual- both things I desire in a good book. I would recommend this book for anyone, men women, young, old. It's perfect for anyone who is hungry for God and knowing his love.
