The seven bastard sons of Guillaume d'Anzeray are on a mission to find wives -- women to breed the next generation of a dark dynasty that many wish to see extinct.
It won't be easy to find brides from among the Norman nobility, for the d'Anzeray are upstarts, their family's fortunes raised through bloodshed and violence. As one holy man and chronicler of their times has written, "From the devil they came and to the devil they will return". But these brothers don't care much for holy men or for what is written about them. Now, with the future of their bloodline at stake these mercenary warriors need wives and they have no scruples when it comes to claiming the women they desire.
Georgia Fox lives in the countryside on twenty peaceful acres. Harsh in the winter, but heavenly in the summer. She loves good company, good movies, good books and excellent brandy. She enjoys sun in the mornings, but in the late afternoon it makes her sad. Her favorite kind of holiday is a cabin surrounded by woods on a private tidal cove. In her life she’s done a little bit of everything and somehow lived to tell the tale.
She doesn’t believe in fairies, ghosts, flying saucers or conspiracy theories. But she still believes in love.
I liked Nino' s story, but unfortunately for me it was too short. I would like for this author to write more complete books. They are very good, but again too short.
