Uncover the secrets that could reshape two galaxies in this thrilling sequel that will leave you reeling and desperate for more.
To fully appreciate the deepening mysteries, escalating conflicts, and complex character dynamics, readers are strongly encouraged to start with Book 1, Emergence.
Picking up right where we were left at the end of book 1 and is just as absorbing. I really thought I would get lost or confused as to where each character is in their story with so many plot points to follow but every time the pov switches I find myself remembering exactly what they were doing which shows how skilled the author is at building this story.
One thing I have to say which is both praise and criticism is that this is a slow build. When I think of similar books where the plot is developing in many places with (what I am assuming is) the goal to bring them together you spend more time with a couple of plot lines see those to a fairly developed point and then switch and jump back in time and develop those forward until everything is all caught to a connecting point (like LoTR Two Towers or the Abhorsen original trilogy). That being said I am enjoying the books and look forward to starting the next one.
The earth is on the brink of extinction and she will need to see how she can stop it. This takes place over 2 galaxies and is full of action and drama. She will face many different challenges to sort out it all out. How will she get on? Will she get help? What will happen? See how they get on I received an advance copy from hidden gems and I want to review
so padded with fluff the good story can't get out. this is told from 7-8? points of view, 4 on earth, 4 elsewhere. the elsewhere story is interesting but she basically has 1 good book that she split into 5 and then had to fill in chapters. it's a shame because I'd like to continue but I'm not going to pay for 20% of a book
This book series called the Valmoran Chronicles is brilliant, and unlike any science fiction I have ever read! The author is skilled at developing deep characters and building amazing alien worlds and cultures. I can't get enough. Third book please! :) The first book in the series "Emergence" was a page-turner and the second book "Revelation" only continues to pull me in even more--the medical mystery on Earth, the political intrigue with Callum, the Valmoran culture and the Obelisks, and of course Matthai and Kat. So many wonderful characters and storylines. If you are looking to lose yourself in a book series, this will not disappoint.
