Oh I have been waiting for Archer’s book since I read Because You’re Mine and I have to say the wait was totally worth it. Just when I needed some steamy and naughty scenes Until You’re Mine was dropped in my lap and I devoured it. K. Langston gives us a steamy and erotic read about Archer and Katy and gives us a story about learning to love and trust again and going after in what you want.
Oh Archer Archer Archer such a naughty boy – in such an oh so good way. He is dominating and sexy and straight to the point and have you under his spell and in a trance of utter bliss which just his words alone. Dirty talker who knows how to talk the talk and most certainly knows how to walk the way.
With Archer we got a little bit of this….
And a whole lot of……
And even tender moments like this….
There was also a lot of angst in this book which I loved, because Katy new from the very beginning of her feelings for Archer – she wanted it all – not just his body but his heart and he just isn’t willing to love again because of his past. Knowing that she can easily get hurt and be destroyed by Archer she finds herself questioning everything.
I was engrossed with this story from the very beginning to the very end. There is lots of Sex Sex Sex! But also a storyline to go with that so it made Until You’re Mine very appetizing to read. I love Katy and I understood where she was coming from when it came to putting up her defenses around Archer because she didn’t want to get hurt. Sometimes we found Katy all….
And other times we could find her….
You will fall in love with Katy because she is such a strong character and you can’t help it. I was touched by her strong personality and her strength to go after what she wants and not settle for anything less than she deserves.
When Archer’s past is quickly thrown back into his present it has himself and Katy questioning everything. Can the truly build a future together or will the love that Archer denies himself from feeling end their relationship before it truly begins?
If you love alpha fuck me now males and strong and independent females you will love Until You’re Mine. If you are a fan of steamy scenes, angst, and relationships that aren’t all roses and berries you will love Until You’re Mine. If you loved Holden in Because You’re Mine you will eat Archer alive and let me tell you he is worth every calorie.

Note: I did not read Because You're Mine before reading Until You're Mine.
Man oh man.
I had high hopes for this because it had such high ratings. But I'm starting to learn my lesson where my reading preferences may not exactly align with others.
The story starts off with Katy (or Katherine) contemplating how to say no to Archer's advances.
Archer just does what he wants, takes what he wants - no questions asked.
He wants Katy but just for sex. He doesn't do love, he doesn't do relationships because he's been burned in the past.
Katy, who has always been a helpless romantic, always wanted the fairy tale love story. Now, watching her best friend Maddie and her new husband Holden do the whole love thing, she's never wanted it more.
So, back to these two.
Archer's main goal is to get the girl on his terms.
Katy's main goal is to get the guy on hers.
Personally, I felt a bit nauseous from this roller coaster of emotions.
First off- what in the WORLD did Katy see in Archer? The man was borderline rapist with the exception of her not having the balls to tell him no.
He would touch her without her permission. He would totally disregard the small "no's" she would tell him. He just took it.
There was nothing romantic about the way he treated her or spoke to her, despite of him having to be the super duper douchebag bad boy. I felt it was forced, overplayed and was NOT a turn on whatsoever.
Archer had potential to be the hot, smoldering letharo we have known to love in other romance novels, but this one just did not cut it for me.
Katy continues on her so called mission to get him to fall in love with her. She becomes a kitty cat to his roaring lion.
And then she'll change it up and try to be sexy...key word "try".
After basically telling Katy to 'get the fuck out', Archer has an epiphany. He loves her.
It happens so quickly, so suddenly that I think I missed when it happened.
Archer tells Katy the truth and Katy is over the moon that her little plan of basically giving Archer her body won him over.
I wanted sparks.
I wanted romance.
I wanted a man who had to grovel to make his wrongs right again. I wanted to actually FEEL the love these two had for each other.
But, alas, I did not. Maybe I'm short a fuse, but I honestly just didn't get it like everyone else who raved about this one.

I'm still trying to figure out how that is even humanly possible.
This book also contained a boatload of grammatical errors. It seems like all dialogue was ending with a comma as opposed to periods. It was almost as if the book was never sent for editing and just published as is.
So, hate or love my review, it's my honest opinion. You may proceed as you please.

I have over half of this book highlighted. I loved the story and I am so excited for more from this author! K. Langston is not just a romance/smut writer. K. Langston is an author. She is a story teller. She is not just a "let me write a romance" and call it a book that so many people now-a-days attempt to do.
There are so many books that have great sex scenes with no substance, or vice versa. This book not only has your gooey sex scenes (shower - thats all I need to say), your swooning love making scenes, but the story itself of two people breaking down walls and falling in love is written so well. The main characters and sub characters are all people that you can relate to and want to be friends with!
We met Katy and Archer in Because You're Mine. And while I knew that Archer was rougher and tougher than Holden, I was not mentally prepared for how insanely wonderful he is! Not to mention Katy! I have a complete girl crush on Katy...
"Day by day, little by little, he had managed to weave his way into my heart.
Every kiss.
Every word.
Every touch.
It had all led to this. There was no turning back, and my heart was of no consequence."

4 HOT STARS!
We got to know a little bit about Archer on the first book "Because You Are Mine". He is Holden's cousin who got this hard exterior around him... Now, I'm glad to finally put a story behind all that Archer hotness!
If I were to rate this book for hotness alone, I'll give it a 10!!!! You can feel right away the attraction between Katy and Archer and it is steamy hot! And if you are into possessive and controlling alphas, then this book is definitely for you.
Archer has been burned before, making it hard for him to trust anyone with his heart... But his attraction to Katy is undeniable... and fight as he might not to let Katy in, she keeps knocking down this wall he built around his heart. But boy was he stubborn! I wanna hug him and then hit him in the head at the same time.
Katy is not one of those whiny female that I care not... she has this sweet and lively personality that you'll easily like. She also has this rebellious streak in her being brought up by a father who is a preacher, and who constantly reminds her about morals and scripture. And much as she loves Archer, she wants all of him, she wants to own him as much as he owns her.
It didn't take me long to finish the book, it completely had me at "MINE"... It is a little edgy, definitely romantic, and sexually hot and sexy.
And it's written on dual POV.

So... I read the first book in this series back in 2013 and didn't realize there were more books published. When I saw this one yesterday it started calling to me so I had to start it. I finished it today after work and I FREAKING LOVED IT! I have to admit that I don't really remember a lot from book one, since it was so long ago, so I didn't remember Archer. Shame cuz I love him so hard! This book was amazeballs and will definitely be going on my reread shelf for the future. I loved absolutely everything about it!

That's all she took, but you would have thought she robbed me fucking blind. My mind spun at the warmth and affection behind that tiny fucking kiss, the power that rested on those lips made my entire world spin. Watching her walk away, a silent thought sliced through my head.
She fucking owns me.
I think may be one of the most difficult reviews I have written so far! I have so much to say about this book but I just don’t know where to start with it. I have been after this book for what feels like years, you know those books that you just connect with after seeing like one teaser…that was me with Until You’re Mine.
Archer caught my eye in Because You’re Mine even though he wasn’t mentioned a great amount. There was just something about him that made my toes curl, so to find out he had his own book coming made me impatient! But damn the wait was worth it! The man has everything I want and need wrapped into one hot package. He is tattooed, hot as hell, a growly alpha and the filth that falls from his lips would make any woman swoon…but he is also sweet and loyal. Who wouldn’t want all that in a man?
But I need to talk more about this guy’s mouth, I mean just damn! The words that he speaks will make any woman’s panties melt…or fall to their ankles! Yes I will admit I like a man with a dirty mouth and Archer Brooks fills the part perfectly. He swears and talks those naughty words you want to hear. Ok…Ok I will mention something more about the book just in case I haven’t sold you yet!
Katy is the woman in Archers sights, but she doesn’t just fall for his charms! She wants more than he is willing to give and won’t settle for anything else. Even when she has given him the body she still pushes him to give her everything she wants and needs. She has a lot of strength which I love in my female characters, she will give everything of herself but she demands the same returned. When she is pushed away she feels broken but she isn’t the one that comes running back. Finding the strength inside herself even though she hasn’t had the support that she needed growing up, she becomes her own person, even when that person isn’t one that fits in with the family she has. To me that shows a strength about her that a lot of people wouldn’t have. To go against what her strict father has wanted for her, to expose herself to his disdain for being herself well I don’t think many people would be able to do that.
The story follows the ups and downs of the relationship between these two main characters. Archers past is what is keeping them apart, will he be able to accept that his perceptions aren’t what they seem, that people can be trusted? And will Katy be the woman strong enough to break through the walls that Archer is trying to keep erected, the walls he feels he needs to protect himself?
I may have mentioned this…but I love this book! Like love love love! It was written amazingly, I really felt connected to the characters, felt I was living their story. I thought K’s first book was great and the characters were likeable but in this book it just went BOOM! The flow kept me engrossed and didn’t let me leave until I had finished… but then I went back and reread it… several times. Ok…I am totally gushing over this book and probably boring you all now, so I will leave you with one piece of advice!

5 Stars all the way!
HOT! HOT! Demanding HOT! This was amazing.
Archer is the a** you hate to love. Powerful, rich, tatooed and great looking, the whole package right? Too bad his heart is off the table. He gave his heart away once to a wicked woman who used him and threw him away. He has sworn off love permanently. No relationships, just sex is his motto.
Katherine is a preachers daughter who is far from typical. Tattooed and pierced she exudes control. She lives hard and loves harder. Things with Archer have been heated for awhile but she will not take it to the next step until he is willing to offer his heart. They are sexually torturing each other, refusing to bend. Passion boils over and Katy says screw it! And that is what she does. She see's so much loving potential in Archer, just under the surface. She just has to be strong enough to dig for it. He may not be prince charming but if your going to sin, he is the way to do it.
Archer's instict is to run when his walls start to crumble. But Katherine is in his veins, she has burrowed through his walls. There is no substitute for her, there is no getting enough of her. When Archer opens his heart, he is an awesome man! If only real men were as viral as Archer. He has some lose end to tie up from his past then maybe he can have his happily ever after. Katherine is his devil with angel wings.
This is just a great read. It keeps you page turning. There is some seriously hot loving going on and that's always a great thing!

When Archer opens his heart, he is an awesome man! If only real men were as viral as Archer. He has some lose end to tie up from his past then maybe he can have his happily ever after. Katherine is his devil with angel wings.
This is just a great read. It keeps you page turning. There is some seriously hot loving going on and that's always a great thing!

Katy and Archer are just… WOW…as explosive as a roomful of dynamite!!!
Archer Brooks is the rich bar owner with the tattooed body and dangerous edge that pulls at Katy like a moth to the flame.
Katy Vaughn, Katherine as he likes to call her, hasn’t lived an easy life as the daughter of a preacher intent on controlling her free spirit.
Working together at the bar as boss and employee proves to be a difficult task for both of them. Katy is in love with Archer and wants to have ALL of him. He is beyond attracted to her, but can’t promise to give her more than just physical pleasure. Because both have been seriously hurt in the past, neither is willing to give in to the other’s desires. They have a game of cat and mouse going until Archer’s relentless pursuit finally wears Katy down and she physically succumbs to him. Both wonder what this will mean to their relationship… whether any real relationship will actually take place.
I experienced so many different emotions while reading this book. The sex scenes between them are so HOT, you’d need to be dead to not need a cold shower after reading them. Archer is so dominant and Katy defies him at every turn, their coming together almost short-circuited my kindle. I cried so much during one particular difficult scene between Katy and Archer. I lived Katy’s pain and Archer’s anguish at feeling helpless with the situation.
Katy is such a loving person and there were some very tender moments between her and Archer. Those scenes between them make you want to find your loved one and cuddle.
There were also some instances where strangling someone was at the top of my list. When Archer is remembering his past and the woman that made him the hard and skeptical man he is today, I was so angry I wanted to jump in there and give her the beat down she deserved.
Once again, Keshia Langston has proven that she can write sexy, caring men like nobody’s business. Holden is still my man, but Archer is one hell of a lovable character. His dominance just calls to me. Keshia’s writing has improved so much and her stories and characters will stay with you long after the last page is read.
To say that I am in love with the Mine series will not be doing it enough justice. Make sure you pick up a copy of Until You’re Mine as soon as it releases and if you still haven’t read the first book, Because You’re Mine, don’t wait and go get that one too.

I suspect that Archer Brooks is going to be a popular guy. As much as I hate the term and wish it would disappear from the vocabularies of all women over the age of twenty, I also suspect he’ll be riding high on a lot of book boyfriend lists. Quite simply, the man checks all the alpha boxes. He’s got sex appeal and swagger in spades, he’s got an air of mystery about him and he sets his eyes on what he wants and goes after it with every weapon in his rather vast arsenal. I could wax poetic about his skill with the dirty talk and his expertise in laying the pipe, but that would be fairly predictable. Y’all should’ve figured out by now that I’m nothing if not contrary. . . . . and that heroes are not what draws me to a story.
Several weeks back, we devoted an entire podcast to the topic of kickass heroines and one of the issues we addressed was how women respond to heartbreak. While we’d never criticize anyone for how they chose to deal with their pain, it was the Nerd Herd’s general consensus that a woman who can continues to make herself vulnerable after having a man (or men, as the case may be) run roughshod over her emotions is clearly stronger than those who respond by becoming ballbusters. This was what drew me to Katy Vaughn, a woman who’s been dicked around by almost every man in her life, from her judgmental father to the jackass who fucked the town slut in their bed. If there was ever a woman with reason to become a man-hating bitch and develop some impenetrable asshole armor, it’s Katy—but she doesn’t. Despite the fact that love has kicked her in the teeth more than once, she opens her heart to Archer Brooks, a man who’s made it crystal clear that his dick will be the only part of him she’ll ever get.
Katy is the local preacher’s daughter and, while she might fight Daddy on the finer points of faith, one of the lessons that stuck was the mutual exclusivity of sex and love. Katy is not a one-night stand kinda girl and she’s uninterested in being a man’s plaything. Is she sexually attracted to Archer? Uh—yeah. There are times when the sexual tension between these two fair to smolders right off the page. For Katy, though, their attraction is far more than physical. From almost the moment they met—even when she was involved with someone else—Katy has been in love with Archer. She’s willing to set aside her concerns about sleeping with her boss, overlook his shitty track record when it comes to women and take a chance on getting her heart broken again, but she won’t accept a purely physical relationship with him—
“Let me in. That’s all I’m asking. I want all of you, Archer, not bits and pieces.”
Y’all have to give it to the girl. Archer did NOT make it easy for her, what with the near constant stream of naughty little nothings in her ear and all those “accidental” brushes and sliding his hands all over her whenever the notion struck, but she held firm—until she just couldn’t anymore.
What can I say? She loves him and loves makes women do crazy shit.
There was a period very early in the book when Archer was ranking fairly high on my Asshole Heroes list. To be frank, he came off like a petulant, entitled teenage boy trying to pressure his virgin girlfriend into sex. It didn’t take long to figure out that our hero is battling some serious emotional demons, though. I can’t give you much without giving away the story, but I’ll tell you that something beautiful between two people who should love and trust one another above all else was twisted and corrupted in the interest of money. Only one thing that could fuck a man up like that, ladies, and Archer uses those ghosts to fight the feelings he has for Katy. He’s fully aware of how Katy feels about him and he understands that giving in to him would devastate her–
“Her eyes told me this would cost her far more than I would ever understand. I was too damn selfish to care. All I wanted was her, and I would do whatever I could to have her.
Hearts be damned.”
If it weren’t for the fact that there was a whole lot of love hiding under all that bullshit, I’d have a difficult time forgiving that. He’s incredibly bossy, generally ill-tempered and terribly proprietary, but, when all is said and done, he’s willing to let go of the baggage he’s been carting around for years to be with Katy–
“I need you. More than anything else in my life, I only need you.”
Want is easy. Love is tougher. I think we’ll agree, though, that NEED is a pretty fucking serious declaration from a man whose heart has been decimated once before, yes?

FIVE MIND BLOWING STARS MY FRIEND!!!!
I could not put this book down. Like literally.Started it about 7 o'clock this morning and here it is almost 4 o'clock in the afternoon and I just finished. In one word...AMAZING. It is fast but enjoyably so. I really liked the amount of steamy scenes (First time? Syrup? Vegas in the club?...WHEW) between Archer and Katy. In a say Holden and Maddie's book it just wouldn't have worked but with Archer and Katy it does because it helps show us just how physical a relationship can be before you ever utter those three little words. Archer had me in tears at one point and I really hated (okay maybe hate is a strong word...disliked) him for a short time. He can be crude, he can be an ever loving asshole, however on the flip side he can be amazingly sweet and passionate. I really enjoyed Katy as well. She was not the whinny type. She knew what she wanted so she went after it. Good for her. I wanted to bitch slap Megan from the get go....that's all I'm saying about that. I loved getting to see a little Cannon, Cora, Alex and Cami? This shall be an interesting thing to see play out. And that little twist OH.EMM.GEE. I swooned, straight swooned at the last chapter. Epilogue was sweet and had me wanting more of Archer and Katherine.
Now that little TEASE of Barrett and Tabitha......not nice. NOT NICE AT ALL. I want all of these books to just be done so I can read them all back to back. Oh what I would give to be inside that brain of yours lady.

We were introduced Archer Brooks in Because You're Mine. He's a bad boy with a tough exterior, so I was excited to jump into his story. There's just something sexy about a naughty, dirty talking man. The hotness factor in this book is absolute fire. I'm pretty sure at one point my kindle was smokin'. Archer is possessive, controlling and complete alpha. Once he and Katy got together their chemistry and attraction was explosive. I love a man in control and Archer had no problem taking what was his.
Archer took me by surprise as well his story. He's successful and rich. He guards his heart and typically runs when things start getting too serious. He's also unfortunately been burned pretty bad by his ex which always makes it tough for the next girl.
Katy is the daughter is of a strict preacher who doesn't agree with her job in a bar. I loved that Katy challenged Archer. She wants to be with him, but she wouldn't allow them to be together unless he was ready to give it his all and commit. Katy is in love with Archer and wants the same in return. Archer wants to run, but feels the pull from Katy. These two definitely have a connection, but of course Archer is hesitant.
I really enjoyed Until You're Mine. It's a quick entertaining read that will bring the heat and romance, but also a good story that many will enjoy.

Five stars are not enough! I absolutely loved this book, I read it in one day! I could not put it down. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone.
We get to know Archer Brooks and Katy Vaughn very well, these two are very intense! Archer is a stubborn bastard that will melt your panties! And Katy is a preachers daughter that has a rebellious side to her. You can feel the sexual tension between these two coming off the pages.
Katy wants her happily ever after that she has dreamed about since she was a little girl. She is convinced that Archer is that man, but due to his past experience with love he is very jaded! Archer is willing to give her his body but not his heart! There is no question that there is a connection between these two but will they be able to find common ground and be who the other one needs?

I have been itching to get my hands on this book ever since author K. Langston first introduced Archer and Katy to us in her debut novel Because You're Mine. That is six whole months of building up in my head how amazing Archer was going to be, and thanks to K. and her little teasers, six months of fantasizing about how hot the sex was going to be. And Until You're Mine proved to be everything I knew it would be! I've been dying to sink my teeth into Archer Brooks all this time, and damn was he tasty and worth the wait!
Katy and Archer both have seriously battered hearts. Her two previous boyfriends left her broken and weary to ever give her heart to someone again. Then there is Archer's ex who is the queen mega bitch from hell. It is no wonder he doesn't want to love ever again. I have to give Katy a ton of credit because despite being hurt more than once, she basically says "fuck it" and throws her heart 100% in the ring with Archer. She knows that with her love he can open up again and she is determined to prove that to him. I also love that despite the fact that she has two disapproving jerks for parents, she is not afraid to be herself.
Then, of course, there is Archer. There are so many things that I love about this man, but the best is his deliciously filthy mouth. The man drops more f-bombs than I can count and dammit if i don't love that. But the sexy things he says to Katy? Excuse me while I melt into a puddle on the floor. What's that? You need some examples? Well...if you insist...
Seriously, the man and his mouth (and other parts) are down right lethal. I'm talking about scorching hot sex that you can never get enough of. Never. Ever. Sigh.
Erm...where were we?
Did I like this book? Hell no. I frickin' loved it! We've already established how I feel about Archer and Katy was the perfect female lead to take him on. I also appreciated that there was minimal angst involved. Yeah there were ups and downs and issues to work out but not the hair pulling kind that makes you curse and scream at the characters to wake the hell up. Just two amazing people healing each other with love. Beautiful.
I mentioned that Katy's parents were jerks, especially her father. I do not like him at all. However I did feel that her relationship with them was left a bit unresolved so I would love to see K. write a bonus chapter following up on that. Since I don't think Katy's dad will ever accept her for who she is, I'd be thrilled just to see her tell him to go screw once and for all. Hmmm, sounds like it would make for a fun post on a blog or something....
Up next in this series is Tabitha and Barrett's story in When You're Mine, coming Summer 2014. We know from book one that Tabitha is one of Maddie's BFFs and that Maddie and Barrett once had a thing. So it will be interesting to see how that plays out. Then after that will be Cannon and Cora's story in Forever You're Mine (Fall 2014). We briefly met Cannon here in Until You're Mine and I cannot wait for this one because Cannon just sounds hot!

That is six whole months of building up in my head how amazing Archer was going to be, and thanks to K. and her little teasers, six months of fantasizing about how hot the sex was going to be. And Until You're Mine proved to be everything I knew it would be! I've been dying to sink my teeth into Archer Brooks all this time, and damn was he tasty and worth the wait!
Katy and Archer both have seriously battered hearts. Her two previous boyfriends left her broken and weary to ever give her heart to someone again. Then there is Archer's ex who is the queen mega bitch from hell. It is no wonder he doesn't want to love ever again. I have to give Katy a ton of credit because despite being hurt more than once, she basically says "fuck it" and throws her heart 100% in the ring with Archer. She knows that with her love he can open up again and she is determined to prove that to him. I also love that despite the fact that she has two disapproving jerks for parents, she is not afraid to be herself.
Then, of course, there is Archer. There are so many things that I love about this man, but the best is his deliciously filthy mouth. The man drops more f-bombs than I can count and dammit if i don't love that. But the sexy things he says to Katy? Excuse me while I melt into a puddle on the floor. What's that? You need some examples? Well...if you insist...
Seriously, the man and his mouth (and other parts) are down right lethal. I'm talking about scorching hot sex that you can never get enough of. Never. Ever. Sigh.

Did I like this book? Hell no. I frickin' loved it! We've already established how I feel about Archer and Katy was the perfect female lead to take him on. I also appreciated that there was minimal angst involved. Yeah there were ups and downs and issues to work out but not the hair pulling kind that makes you curse and scream at the characters to wake the hell up. Just two amazing people healing each other with love. Beautiful.
I mentioned that Katy's parents were jerks, especially her father. I do not like him at all. However I did feel that her relationship with them was left a bit unresolved so I would love to see K. write a bonus chapter following up on that. Since I don't think Katy's dad will ever accept her for who she is, I'd be thrilled just to see her tell him to go screw once and for all. Hmmm, sounds like it would make for a fun post on a blog or something....
Up next in this series is Tabitha and Barrett's story in When You're Mine, coming Summer 2014. We know from book one that Tabitha is one of Maddie's BFFs and that Maddie and Barrett once had a thing. So it will be interesting to see how that plays out. Then after that will be Cannon and Cora's story in Forever You're Mine (Fall 2014). We briefly met Cannon here in Until You're Mine and I cannot wait for this one because Cannon just sounds hot!

Until You're Mine is the second in the Mine series by K. Langston. This author can write some seriously HOT sex scenes and there was a lot of it in this book. If you get offended easily, you might want to skip this one. But if you like it hot and descriptive, it is a must read! I read the first book last September and I gave it 4 stars. I was looking forward to reading book 2 because I liked the first one so much. Like Because You're Mine, this book also ends with a happy ever after ending. It can be read as a stand alone but, it is better to have read the first before reading this book.
Katy is the 28 year old rebellious daughter of a strict preacher. She works in a bar because she doesn't need a lot of stuff, material things are not the most important things in her life. HOLY HOTNESS, Batman!!!!! This book was SO worth the wait. Ever since I got a glimpse of what was to come in this installment of the Mine Series (at the end of Because You’re Mine, book 1), I KNEW I would LOVE it. And I was right. Hell, I am in love with Until You’re Mine. From the very first page to the very last one, this story had me GLUED to my iPad. I did not want to stop reading for anything. Too bad life sometimes got in the way of that, but seriously, AMAZING. Archer Brooks has just become one of my top book boyfriends!
“All I wanted was her, and I would do whatever I could to have her.”
Archer, my new love, had suffered heartache once. The type that leaves you scarred for a LONG time. Suffice it to say, he wasn’t interested in being in another serious relationship, and yet he wanted Katy. He craved her…desired her in ways that surprised even him.
“I need you. More than anything else in my life, I only need you.”
Katy, or Katherine as Archer insisted on calling her, had been burned by one too many guys. She was tired of settling for less than what she knew she deserved. And she wanted Archer, but she would not give into him until she knew she would have him completely.
Their chemistry, their interactions…heck, u>everything between Katy and Archer was HOT. Sizzling HOT. Thigh-clenching, hot. I found myself squirming in my seat A LOT while reading this book. *wink* God, I LOVE Archer. He was pure, primal, sexy…… And, did I mention HOT? Gah!! He was perfect because on top of all that, he was also sweet, gentle, and beyond caring. He gave anything and everything for Katy.
“My home was her…with her, beside her, inside of her. Always.”
A lot happened along the way, and Katy and Archer didn’t have things easy. Archer’s past kept a hold of him and at times, threatened his future with Katy. This is the part where I HAVE to mention how much I loved Katy’s character. She was SO strong and determined. She knew she loved Archer and that he LOVED her, so she did everything to make sure she was there for him. She stood by him through thick and thin. These two are one of the few couples that make my ‘Favorites Couples’ list. They seriously clicked. They belonged together. They completed each other.
Sigh… There’s SOOOOO much I want to say about this book. Gosh, okay… Until You’re Mine was very well written, flowed perfectly, and had me fully captivated. The plot and the characters were fantastic! I loved seeing more of Maddie and Holden (main characters from book one). It’s always a huge plus for me when books in series connect like that, even if they are considered stand alone novels. I am super happy with how things ended in this book and I’m very much looking forward to the next installment in this series. I highly recommend you meet Archer and Katy. You will fall in love with them.

This book was a blind test for me. I jumped in head first without knowing a thing. Wouldn't you know that I freaking LOVED this book! Holy heck! This book is the angst, the sex, the smoking hot chemistry. All of it! Katy and Archer have such a dynamic relationship. It's actually quite peculiar. She takes absolutely no shit from him, and vice versa. And Archer? Hello, alpha guys? Archer's here now, you're no longer needed. This book plays up both their friendship and their sexual relationship. Both of which are very endearing and were a joy to read. Katy is quite the firecracker. Yet, she also has this more vulnerable side to her that only Archer can bring out. To an extent I think Archer is the same way. It's funny because sometimes I think they're polar opposites and other times I think they're made from the same mold. They've both been hurt before, although this book is more focused on Archer's healing than Katy's. But Katy does some healing of her own as well. In the end, I was left content in their ending but, also secretly wishing they would get a sequel in the future :)
Until You're Mine starts out a little odd. Archer and Katy already know each other, and their attraction has already been solidified. Through a series of flashbacks the reader will learn more about their first kiss, and a few other key elements of their past, but not necessarily their joint past. Archer is one of my favorite kind of heroes. An alpha who thinks he can no longer love, yet will end up falling and loving the hardest. Katy on the other hand uses the element of full-disclosure to her benefit. It leaves Archer shocked more than once, giving Katy enough time to manipulate a situation to get what she wants.... Archer. Unbeknownst to Katy, Archer has been horribly betrayed by someone he once loved. When his secret comes to light there is a lot of push and pull in their relationship. The both fight tooth and nail to get what they want. Katy thinks she can help Archer overcome his heartache and sense of betrayal, while also knowing full well that Archer may shatter her heart. Archer on the other hand is fighting to be alone and unloved yet, his need and want for Katy is wreaking havoc with his plan. Together or apart these two have a very long road ahead of them. When they come face to face with the past that is in between them they may not survive it together.
The journey Katy and Archer take is erotic, confusing, hurtful, loving, and magnificent. I loved every minute of it. The story line presented could not have been handled better. My only two minor complaints were 1) I wished that the author hadn't voiced the characters with so much slang, it detracted somewhat from the story and flow at times and 2) there were a couple of scenes that were glossed over or later alluded to that I would have loved to see expanded. Again, minor but, personally having those little tweaks would have made this book an all out 5 star book. All in all this book is fantastic. Big thumbs up and an A+! K. Langston certainly earned herself a spot on my auto-buy list. I can't wait to see more from her in the future!!

Until You’re Mine is the second installment in the Mine Series by K. Langston. I have been waiting for this book since getting a sneak peak of Archer and Katy in the first “Mine” book, but each book can be read as a stand-alone. Oh, yes, we see Holden and Madison a bit, but Until You’re Mine really is all about Archer (and Katy).
Katy insists that Archer has some “personality issues.” Madison actually doubts Archer has one at all (book one). Well, from where I’m sitting, nothing could be further from the truth. Oh, he has a personality alright – a complex and frustrating one! Oh, and he’s got a thing for Katy – the inked up, sassy mouthed cocktail waitress who actually makes Goodwill fashion work. Yeah, and Katy’s definitely got a thing for Archer too.
To call Katy’s character “unique” actually doesn’t do her justice. Author K. Langston has created an authentic renaissance woman with Katy. Raised as a PK (preacher’s kid), Katy is, at her very inner core, a good girl, but she has a healthy dose of rebel in her, and it’s the rebel that has Archer’s senses on high alert! At one point, he compares her to his grandmother, but doesn’t hesitate to instigate her inner slut in the bedroom. It’s usually the hero I call “enigmatic,” but I can think of no more appropriate word to describe our heroine.
I don’t have a word for Archer – at least not an adequate one. He has a foul temperament most of the time, and a foul mouth all of the time. The man has the vocabulary of a well-educated sailor. Challenging hardly begins to describe him. Archer is still nursing some deep and painful wounds from a past he doesn’t talk about, and despite his fixation on Katy, Archer is determined to keep their relationship strictly sexual. Well, let’s just see how that works out for him, shall we.
Archer and Katy are the perfect blend of rough and soft, bitter and sweet. Their story is both physically and emotionally erotic. Yes, there was some predictability in the story, but there were also some plot twists that pleasantly surprised me too. There were many times when I wanted to just snatch Archer up by the collar and shake him for the way he treated Katy, and the things he said to her in an effort to keep her away. But Katy’s love for him is unconditional, and it’s a love Archer has never known. Yes they fight, but oh, how they make up! Steamy? Absolutely! But it’s more than that. It’s just the right combination of rough, soft and sweet – like toast with melted butter and honey – comforting and satisfying in equal measure.
As I’ve come to expect from K. Langston, her attention to detail in the development of her characters is remarkable, right down to their vernacular, and the colloquialisms that I would expect to hear from people living in that part of the country. I felt like I truly understood these characters and what made them tick. I connected with them, and if you were to ask me about them, I could say “oh, Archer would never do that,” or “oh, yes, that’s definitely Katy.” K. Langston continues to delight me with her storytelling, and she, once again, has created characters with the element of believability that had me emotionally responding as though they were real.

Now that ladies is how you write a good romance book! Archer is definitely all male hear me roar and Katherine is a girl who know who she is and what she wants. Holden and Maddie make appearances. Wow did archer make a poor judgment call with Megan. I wanted to beat her ass, run over with a car and throat punch her all at the same time!! She is where evil resides!
Good romance, good sexy times and a good story. Free at this time.
Carry over characters so it helps to read in order to build a connection, but not necessary as each couple gets their own HEA.

I was given this book for an honest review. This was a very enjoyable and hot read. It moves quickly and the author has put just enough angst into the book to make it perfect. As a reader I like my books to have angst but not so much that it just overwhelms the book, she did a great job of balancing this.
You met Katy and Archer (actually in the first book in the series as secondary characters) at their best friend's wedding. Katy has always believed in love everlasting while Archer does not. He believes in sex plain in simple. It is really wonderful to see both of these characters evolve into what they need to be for each other.
Many times in the story it feels like both are fighting an uphill battle against others and against each other.
I really did enjoy this book although the ending was not really what I was expecting (I promise no spoilers) I felt as though the ending was kind of abrupt. I personally would have liked to see more of an ending than what was there.

I never thought that I would love another book character more than Holden Brooks from Because You're Mine, but along came the dirty talkin', fireball drinkin', panty melting, tattooed bad boy that is Archer Brooks. Oh my god, has there ever been a sexier book character ever. Archer is a rip and charge sort of man. He knows what he wants and gets what he wants, in this case it is Katherine. Archer unabashedly pursues Katherine with one ultimate goal: to get inside her bed and in between her thighs but never in her heart. He has been burned badly in the past. Archer doesn't do love or relationships. He is more of a love 'em and leave 'em kind of guy. Katy, on the other hand wants a commitment, love, marriage, babies- the whole shebang. And she wants them with the man who has stolen her heart- Archer Brooks. What starts out with a friends with scorching benefits ends up in a game of capturing Archer's heart. I cannot express how much I loved this story or how many times I have read it. There is just something so alpha and animal about Archer. He stalks Katy with determination and fierceness. Archer is all sex. He is confident and has swagger , but underneath all the tattoos and filthy talk lies a broken, sweet and possessive man who knows he is fighting a losing battle. This is the first book that has ever made me want to crawl into the pages and and dry hump the main character like a wildebeest. I adore K. Langston and every word that she writes. She made me laugh, cry, bite my lip, sweat and take a cold shower many times throughout this book. A lot of times there will be massive build up for a book and then when I finally get it- disappointment. So not true in this case. Until You're Mine more than exceeded my expectations. It is going to take one hell of a book character to dethrone Archer as my ultimate book boyfriend.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I was in an ARC funk for a couple of weeks now but this book brought me right out of it. My gosh this book was frigging hot. At times, I kept looking around to see if anyone was getting a glimpse of my kindle lol, IT WAS THAT HOT.
Katherine is not your typical preacher's daughter. She has piercings, loves to party, has a dirty mouth and most of all she believes in Happily Ever After's. I haven't read a book by K. Langston before but she made a new fan definitely. I loved how the story evolved, I felt hurt, was surprise by the curve ball and even wanted to punch Archer a few times.
How can you tell that a story was great?
When you get to the last page and you feel sad about it coming to an end, I wanted MORE.
I will definitely recommend this book to anyone that's looking for a funny, steamy read with a potential HEA.

I was in an ARC funk for a couple of weeks now but this book brought me right out of it. My gosh this book was frigging hot. At times, I kept looking around to see if anyone was getting a glimpse of my kindle lol, IT WAS THAT HOT.
