Three times best selling author Dawn Robertson was born and raised in Connecticut before relocating to Florida in 2013. The same year first novel, Hers debuted as an Amazon Best Seller. Replicating that success with two additional novels in the following years.

The Indie publishing world has grown to love her raw writing style depicting strong
women in real life situations, topping the charts in erotica, romance, and romance-suspense. Robertson has even insinuated that the female characters in her book mirror her real life. But, that I'll leave to speculation.

When Dawn Robertson is not writing she is a full-time Real Estate professional in Florida, and mother of three amazing children.

Well this one sure did a number on me.

Statistic tells the story of Aurora Alexander. After a divorce from her cheating husband, single mother Aurora, decides it's time to get back on the horse and give love a chance. With no connection to the guys her friends have fixed her up on, she joins a dating website Fish in the Sea.

After weeding out some of her responses to her profile (for obvious reasons), she has a couple of suitors that sound promising. After being with only her ex husband, and high school sweetheart, Aurora has learned a lot and wants to make the best decision for her and her son. While playing the field, someone she has met/chatted with gets a little obsessive and is not taking her rejection well. This person is playing a game and wants to win. He wants Aurora all to himself, and he is going to make her his.

Will Aurora be able to find out who is making her feel unsafe? Or is she just destined to become a statistic?

This was so much different from my other Dawn Robertson experience. This was quite unexpected. But I guess I also feel this way, because the only other book I've read of hers, had "pegging" in it. And I only mention that, because it was a first for me, and I will never forget. :)

What didn't work...

The biggest fail for me, was the heroine's voice. I wasn't a fan, and felt myself being really annoyed by her. It's hard to put into precise words, but her inner dialogue and the fact that she ended a lot of her thoughts with "Ha!", is a good enough reason for me. Due to this feeling, I had no connection to her, or in fact any of her potential mates. I think I was actually hoping for her demise a couple of times.

Although it kept me interested because I had to find out what what going on and who was behind some of the sinister acts, I still found it to be slow paced, and a little boring. I also was expecting it to be way darker than it was.

What won me over...

Obviously it was the whole mindfuck of what was going on. I do think the author did a really good job of putting ideas in your head, in which you suspected everyone. This definitely messed with you. There were times I was so sure I knew what was happening and who was the "bad guy", and then something else would take place to make you have doubts. This made for a very intriguing read.

The ending...GAH!!!! Honestly I had a feeling, but I had no idea of some of the added things that went along with it. My mind was blown for sure.

This is a standalone novel, but there will be more to the story, as expressed by the author at the end. Currently I am on the fence about going forward and reading the next installment, but I also am very curious to see how things turn out.

This is my typical review for the mindfuck read. Pretty vague, but that's the way it has to be with these types of books. If you want your mind thoroughly worked over, I would recommend this quick read. If you do read it, be patient. The ending will deliver the "WTF" reaction, guaranteed.

You can’t make a whore a housewife.
But, you will learn. I will teach you.
It is only a matter of time.
You will be my whore. My wife.
You will obey me, and worship me.

Aurora Alexander is newly divorced and a mother of one. She decides that it’s time to try her hand at dating again, so she opens an online dating account. After catching many fish in the sea, she finally hooks one that she deems perfect for her.
Jackson Revere is a beautiful, kind man. His mission in life is to protect this woman that has stolen his heart. And not only her, but her four year old son, Liam.
When someone breaks into Aurora’s house, she becomes cautious and scared. Could it be someone she met on the internet? She may never know…
Finally, it all comes to a head and she’s afraid she’s just about to become another statistic…
Okay, first thing that I really loved about this book. We get a few chapters here and there titled “In his Mind” and we get to read what’s going on in the head of the mystery guy. That’s not the best part. Aurora had connections with so many men, that with each of these chapters, you’d say “oh, I know who it is!” and the next “In his Mind” chapter would leave you saying “wait, maybe not…” It was absolutely perfect and I loved that she left me guessing until the very end.
And the epilogue! I still don’t know whether I’m okay with it. I mean, I had my suspicions, but I was really hoping it wouldn’t be true… but it is. You won’t expect that and like me, you will probably not be okay with it.
Dawn Robertson is a fantastic writer. She writes on the darker side, but not so dark that you’re searching for a flashlight. She’s nothing like the likes of Kristin Elyon or Lily White. She has just the perfect proportion of dark and light for almost every romance reader to be happy.
So, five stars for this romantic suspense! I couldn’t put it down and I loved the mystery of the whole thing. And the fact that it’s centered around a mother! You rarely see that these days. I loved it. I really, really did. Great job!

4.5 TWISTY STARS!!!!

THAT EPILOGUE TURNED ME UPSIDE DOWN! HOLY SH*T BALLS OF FIRE!

I love a twisted feeling in my stomach when I finish a book. Not one where you feeling all gooey. The one where you feel like you've just been slapped across the face, and you are staring across the room, wondering how that happened.

Aurora is dealing with life after divorce, a cheating ex husband, being a single and lonely mother. I felt like all her emotions were spot on. I mean, it was written spot on. I pictured myself in her shoes. Online dating is the new thing these days, not that I've ever did it but I certainly felt like the way Aurora behaved would've been along lines of what I see myself doing. This kept me interested through the entire story.

Anyway, she's going through this dating website. Enjoying the attention she's getting. (I don't blame her one bit) But then I'm waiting, I know it's coming... Something is bound to happen. At first I couldn't pin point the creeper. And then I had that ahh moment. Then I had that, wait, hmm, who's head am I really in? Then I was like, whew, I knew it. And then BAM! Nope, I had no idea, or did I? <--- That's my thoughts. We have Wholesome Brent, Sexy Wesley, Manly Jackson, and Mystery Jeremy. :)
Who's the right guy, are any of them?

This book kept me on my toes from start to finish!!! My first book by Dawn Robertson, I hope she continues with suspenseful semi-dark books, she rocked my socks off!

I'm having the urge to go back and reread the male's POV! I'm still shaking my head! Okay, I went back and reread the male's POV. I'm smiling like a idiot because I'm still not sure... I do however feel like I might have some insight. HaHa! This was CRAZY good. READ IT!

This book is fast paced and grabs you by the short and curlies from the beginning to the very fucking last page. The ending...oh, the ending, my jaw was on the ground. I immediately wanted to re-read so that I could see what I missed. I wanted to email the author and scream obscenities at her. I did vox her the next morning and scream obscenities. I love when a book takes me down a path and I'm mindlessly following, enjoying it, and then boom, pow the author's like you weren't paying attention. I will re-read this book. If you want an unique story line, jaw dropping twists and an ending that will make you want to re-read immediately pick up this book.

Review by Natasha Gentile

Oh my lord, I’m right now picking my jaw off the floor. I've just read the last page and my jaw flew to the floor and I’m at a loss for words…

What the hell, and then I did it..I did what probably every single person who read this book did. I went back to make sure I read it right. Surely there is a mistake, it can’t be?? How is this possible??? NOOO I obviously read this wrong.. Nope still the same words even the tenth time around…Let me start at the beginning of this little gem.

Meet Aurora Alexander. Freshly divorced. Single Mom…Hoping to get back her self-esteem. Her ex-husband did a number on her. I mean high school sweethearts. Married at the age of 19..Pregnant with her first child, on bed rest, a high risk pregnancy, obviously he is going to cheat. I mean it’s her fault she can’t have sex right? Wrong, you’re an idiot and deserve a kick in your ass. When she finally catches him in bed with the babysitter she decides that she can do better.

So now she is on her own. Her and her wonderful 4 year old son. What is a single parent to do? She joins a dating site…I mean how bad can it be right?

Does anyone truly ever know another person? My answer to that question would be no. Even the most open and honest people have dark secrets, shit they would never reveal to anyone. You know you have those types of secrets, we all do.

So here she is on the dating site Fish in the Sea. Let the chips fall where they may. I mean it’s like a new toy right? Remember when we first opened our Facebook accounts, how excited we got when we got a friend request? How excited we got when someone liked your picture, it was like the coolest thing ever.

I don’t know about you, but first thing in the morning I lie in bed and scroll through my cell phone. Facebook, Google +, Twitter, email. Those all come first even before brushing my teeth. I have always been like that and maybe that’s why I am such a social media guru. It’s both a blessing and a curse.

So now her profile, StrawberryMom, is gathering all kinds of interest. And her message box slowly but surely starts filling up. I put myself in her place and it would be so exciting to be the center of attention, I’m like that.. Center of attention, it’s the best..Some men are great some are down right douches

StrawberryMom do the curtains match the drapes?

Now I wonder does this actually work? Does someone in the right mind answer guys like this?

So the dating begins.. Who to choose, who to cross off the list, who doesn’t even make it on the list… We go through the journey with her and it’s such a funny ride.

Talking with these men was slowly becoming the highlight of my day.

I mean her first dating sex experience is via Skype. Do people actually do that, apparently it's not unheard of..She goes on dates and finally hits it off with a man who both entertains her and gets her motor going, if you know what I mean.. Jackson Jackson Jackson, if I ever get single I’m hoping you're at the end of my profile…

Jackson intrigues me unlike Brent or Wesley ever have. I think mainly because I have always dated the pretty boys like Wesley and Colin; well manicured men who have no idea how to change the oil in a car, or fix a loose floorboard. He isn’t clean shaved, and his short brown hair isn’t perfect in any of the pictures we have shared. But man, his blue eyes are stunning. He is just your average single guy, living an average life running his landscaping company and living country life.

Yes, I will pick him..He get my rose..So they start with the getting to know you phase. Little does she know the danger that lurks in the shadows. Showing up at night, breaking into her house..It’s nuts how something that is suppose to help you find your soul mate, can actually make you lose your soul.

Now the question is what is the statistic for living happily every after?

I was hoping for a creative, engaging suspense, what I got was an authors juvenile idea of suspense. I couldn't tell if Aurora was 18 or 26 like she claimed. This epilogue that was supposed to blow my mind, really had me shaking my head. I couldn't STAND the way the men in this book talked to her, it felt unnatural and forced. Reading from Aurora's POV was a challenge, because she was wholly unbelievable. I didn't feel like her emotions, thoughts and understandings were anything more than filler on the paper. The interaction between her and her ex-husband was painful. I couldn't see them as childhood sweethearts, I couldn't see them as PEOPLE. They felt like copies of a different, better story, the story I wish I had read. The story I wish the author had the talent to share.

Trying to return to the dating scene after a divorce is a little intimidating for Aurora. After her ex-husband cheated on her during their marriage, Aurora is reluctant to jump right into things. To test the waters, she decides to set up an online dating profile. Thinking there will not be many interested men, Aurora soon discovers she must wade through all of the fish in the sea. Soon she discovers a ‘catch’ that she has no intention of letting go.

Jackson Revere is just what Aurora is looking for. He is attentive, handsome, and makes sure that she feels special whenever they are together. The chemistry the two feel for one another is off the chart. The ease of their relationship encourages Aurora to introduce Jackson into all aspects of her life.

The happiness Aurora is feeling is shattered when her home is broken into. The words left behind will scare Aurora. Leaving her questioning if her online dating experience will leave her as just a statistic. What she soon discovers may make this more of a reality than she realizes.

Get ready for a fast paced story that will leave you saying ‘no way’. The build up of the story will leave you wondering when the ‘shoe will fall’. Now - I have to admit, I totally knew where a big plot twist was going. I figured it out, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying the story. There are some twists along the way that will built until the end of the story. This story has a great mix of darkness with romance that readers will be sure to enjoy.

This was an exciting, fast-paced story of mystery, betrayal, and ultimately love.
Aurora is a newly divorced, single mother who is trying to get back into the dating scene - thanks to the internet. We follow her journey in online-dating. She finds guys that she's interested in (and some that she's NOT), she responds to their emails, she cautiously meets a few, and we get to enjoy the exploits!
I really liked the realism of this story, the characters, and her experiences.
I found myself rooting for certain men, for her, and for a HEA!
After an incident happens to Aurora- things get a bit scary and escalate from there. I was second-guessing each choice she made, trying to figure out who/what was going on.
Honestly, this book was well written and I had a hard time putting it down.
I would definitely read more by this author.

Overall this story had me completely involved in the characters, it contained some humorous moments, it had some steamy erotic scenes, and it completely took me by surprise!

Whenever a book is written based on true events it always pull at my heart. You can't help but put yourself in the characters shoes, try to understand their emotion and thoughts. That is exactly how I felt reading Statistic by Dawn Robertson. It was a great book, and the story line was extremely strong.

Being a newly single mom is difficult but Aurora is trying her hardest to make it work. Ever since she found out her ex husband was cheating on her and got a divorce Aurora's life has revolved around her son, Liam. Loneliness is too much though so she decides to try internet dating. She finds a great friend and a couple of crazy men. Brent hopes Aurora will feel for him what he feels for her, until then he will continue the friendship they have along with their children. So many strange things end up happening once she meets a wonderful man named, Jackson. Everything feels so right with him, and she starts to fall hard for him. Jackson shows her what it's like to be treated like a queen. He does whatever he can to help out with Liam as well. When more things start to happen all signs point to Brent, but is it too easy to put the blame on him? Can it be someone closer and is Aurora safe at all?

Advance Readers Copy (ARC) provided by the author for an honest review for my blog.
Thanks Dawn, I can't wait to meet my new book boyfriend

Cover: 5
Hero: 8
Heroine: 6
Plot: 7
Ending: HEA
Format: eARC

I love this book, basically anything Dawn Robertson writes but yet this was not my favorite. I can't really get into a whole lot with spoilers. But we are introduced to three HOTTER than HOT men in this book. You will love one and hate the rest or you will fall for all three. But one of them are not who they seem to be.

But luckily I picked the right man hehe!

The plot was good but could be better, It was a super fast read a total page-turner I stayed up all night reading.
I just couldn't get into the heroine as much as I did the hero. which is kinda sad because how many times does a woman connect more with the hero than the heroine of the story. And thank god their is no-cliffhanger but it did leave me wondering what the characters did after the book.

I am so glad that I am happily married and never have to experience the terrors of internet dating! My jaw is literally on the floor right now! My emotions are twisted and I am speechless! I am wanting to know where this is going!

Aurora is a divorced mom who has been on several blind date disasters. She decides to try her hand at internet dating. After being in a unloving marriage for so long the online attention is addicting. She meets several men and chats with others. She finds what she thinks is a great friend and then finds the "one", at least that is what she thinks. In reality it is the beginning of a terrible nightmare that showcases everything that can go wrong with internet dating.

I do not want to give away one second of this book, so I will leave my review vague and just say "you must read it!". It is suspenseful and hot. It will make you question everything. I will leave you screaming for Aurora to see what is hiding!

I take this away from this book, question everything and trust no one!

Did not see that ending coming. Wow. Curious to see what the next story holds. I think Ms. Robertson did a good job diverting your suspicions among the different men in Aurora's life. You think you figure it out, then something else will change your mind. Then you think it is solved, and that last page puts a new twist on the story.

My only complaint, and its more a pet peeve of mine so I don't know that it would bother others, is that there were a lot of errors, to the point that I found it distracting by the time I was 2/3 of the way through the story. Improper or lack of punctuation, quotation marks missing, strange sentence fragments (may just be from the punctuation issue), spelling. Even down to Jackson's name. Jackson introduces himself to Liam as "Jackson Drew Revere". Every time his full name is used after that (2 or 3 more times), he is "Jackson Avery Revere". Avery was Liam's middle name during that introduction scene. That stuck with me, but it may not be an issue for another reader.

I didn't find this book dark, particularly suspenseful or erotic. There just didn`t seem to be an emotional connection between the characters. It took me longer than usual to read it because it didn't hold my attention and wasn't very engaging. I almost stopped reading it at one point but I usually like to finish a book before I rate it. As for the ending; it was OK but by no means did it make me want to read on. I realize it has high ratings so I am in the minority here but I just didn`t care for the writing, the characters and the story itself.

This book is amazing!!! It grabs you from the beginning and won't let you go until the very end. Even then I did not want the book to end. This story has everything that a good story should. It has amazing characters, a phenomenal, unique plot line and an author, who you can tell loves what she does. This is a book that I will definitely be recommending to everyone as well as rereading in the future.

I am going to start with the sypnosis of this book that had me wanting to read it....

Four Men.
One Woman.
And one of the hardest choices Aurora Alexander will ever have to make.

Newly divorced, single mother Aurora is desperately trying to move on with her life.
After a string of unsuccessful blind dates, she turns to internet dating.
Everyone does it, so it has to be safe. Right?

Hot one night stands. Sexting. And an Alpha man who sweeps her off of her feet.
Aurora thinks she has found her happily ever after.
But among her suitors is one man who plays by a different set of rules.
Someone who isn’t who he says.

Will Aurora figure out who does’t have her best interest at heart.
Or is she destined to become a Statistic?

Okay for starters I was a little iffy on reading this book but I was bored and after reading mixed reviews I said what the hell let me give it a try.. And I did

Okay so Aurora Alexander is a divorced single mom who had been cheated on by a scumbag husband. It's been years since she has dated so she signs up for this dating website and goes on a handful of dates..
Okay for starters I have read other reviews where everyone is like omg Wesley is an alpha male and how sweet Brent was and blah blah blah... I am going to start with Brent reading their date was the most awkward reading I put myself through. It was predictable from the beginning something was definitely wrong after that.especially with their supposed friendship that was all in her mind because I really didn't see how they bonded they were barely together... Then there is the supposed "alpha male" Wesley.... Okay I dint see what was so alpha about him I have read my fair share of alpha males in a book and know for a fact Wesley was no damn alpha male but one big "douche bag" looking for a hook up. Why the sypnosis says four men I have no clue because she never meets or dates Jeremy she just chatted him up online and I felt like he wasn't interested in her just brushing her off so he was irrelevant to me. * oh and nice way to try and not make it obvious who Jeremy is * I caught on pretty early with the connection between him and Jackson so no surprise there... And then There is Jackson... Jackson jackson jackson, ii don't know how people didn't catch it at first when their were a few in his mind moments but I am not going to lie I fell in love with him from the beggining... Eventhough I started to see red flags a few times but what the hell I had more of a connection with him and there were some steamy sex scenes that had me squealing and giggling like a school girl but that is where it ended . And then aurora come on are you really that naive?? Like really you didn't see none of that coming?? Hello has anyone seen catfish?? Or know the dangers of online dating I hated how she claim to have low self esteem and loved the attention she was getting from the men... Really??? It was that low??She believed everything told to her she made up this friendship with Brent and then she instantly feel in love out of nowhere I felt like reading from her point of view I was getting whiplash the whole time. And there were times where I wanted to strangle her especially the scene with her ex where she finds out he has moved on which made me question her character a lot after that and wondered was she really truly over him...

I felt the book was rushed, I didn't feel the connection between both jackson and aurora it all felt too fast and like they were more in lust than in love I just didn't feel it at all...a lot of things were left out that should have been explained if the book were longer there were a lot of unanswered questions I had because unlike anyone else I was left more confused than with my jaw dropped and shocked like most of the reviewers said they were left.
My jaw didn't drop at the epilogue it was more like a one big wtf moment like that's it?? That's how is going to end?
Really?
I won't lie I liked the twist at the end and the concept of the story is good but I didn't like the rushness of the book felt the relationship between Jackson and aurora needed more developing but that is just my opinion. I wanted to give it a five because in the beginning the story had me on my toes and trying to figure out everything and second guessing myself until it became predictable.
there were also errors which may not bother others but is one of my pet peeves I pay attention to details especially when it comes to names and the description of how a character looks... For instance Jackson introduced himself to Liam as " Jackson Drew Revere" and then after that his name changed to "Jackson Avery Revere" and I recall "Avery" being Liam's middle name not jackson's then there was his eye color went from blue to brown back to blue I was so confused after that which ruined everything about his appearance for me... Then his hair went from military cut to shaggy hair unless his hair grew in two days then I don't know lol.

But I was able to get over those things and like the book enough to see what happens next... I guess we will have to wait for the second book to see what will happen next.

4.5 stars for this romantic thriller.

Aurora has been unlucky in love. Colin, her high school sweetheart is now her ex-husband. She's never had another lover, and now she's online looking for either the RIGHT man, or the Man for RIGHT NOW.

She finds a great new friend (Brent), a suave lady's man (Wesley), and the guy she thinks could be The One (Jackson)--but in the background there's odd happenings. Men are finding her home. Packages arrive, in the guise of kindness, but Aurora is rattled. Especially when her home is invaded and the gift she received from one suitor, Wesley, was destroyed.

Was it retribution because she won't go out with him again? How did he gain access to her home? Aurora is terrorized by thoughts that someone could harm herself, or worse--her four year old son. Unwilling to take chances, she leans on both Brent and Jackson--cutting Wesley out of her contacts.

Attempting to find some normalcy, Aurora begins building a relationship with Jackson, which shuts down her friendship with Brent--someone with whom she has become close. That is, until the latest gal Brent was dating turns up dead. She was also a member of the same online dating community that Aurora, Brent, Jackson, and Wesley belong to. And, now Aurora starts to wonder if the strange incidents in her life means she's being targeted by a killer.

We learn pretty quickly that Jackson isn't who he claims to be--and Aurora nearly can't forgive his deception--one that lands Aurora in the hospital, with a dead serial killer upping the conflict.

The book moves pretty quickly. At first I was put off by how timid Aurora was--she seemed to barely be able to tie her own shoes after being jilted by Colin, but I relished her awakening and empowerment. Her ability to "throw caution to the wind" was refreshing, though we (both Aurora and I) clearly recognize that she has NO TASTE when it comes to men. Again, it harkens to her lack of experience in the men department. Still, the amount of growth Aurora makes was significant. She and Colin actually reach some understandings regarding the care of their child, and that's to the good. Aurora was, throughout, very mature and grounded. She was a good mother and a cautious woman. I liked seeing her step out of her comfort zones, and was so glad to see her succeed in rebuilding her life twice; once after the divorce and again after her attack. She is a woman who makes sorbet out of her basket of lemons, and the book is all the more refreshing for it.

The final plot twist was, for me, unnecessary. But, then, I'm not a huge horror fan and it smacked (a bit) of that last gasp cut at the end of a screamer flick where you think the villain is dead only for the bloody corpse to make one last desperate stab at the MC. In short, I'd had enough tension to keep me awake and engaged late into the night and that confession didn't help me any. Mostly, it made me wish Aurora had just closed her laptop on Page 2 and had a nice celibate life. But, that's me, and I'm the Queen of Wishing For HEA...

An ARC was provided for my honest review on a blog tour.

What the hell? Dawn Robertson, you got me good with this one. I was about to praise this book up and down and back and forth, not only for touching on the real possibilities of things that could go wrong with the world of online dating, but for making such remarkable characters to tie the story all together. Yeah, yeah, yeah… I read your note to the reader at the end… but I am not as nice as Aurora. I am not as forgiving.

Aurora has had her heart broken. Her first love destroyed her happily ever after. Now it seems that it is just her and her little man taking on the world. But she knows it is time to get back out there, to see if there really is life after divorce. So feeling a bit uneasy and taking the chance, she decides to leap into the world of online dating. There will always be risk involved in putting yourself out there, but it is worth a shot right?

Aurora finds the first guy she is ready to meet and go out on a date with and though the two of them are compatible, there just is no spark. The second guy… well, that was a magic fling in the potty, but there is no room to grow. But then there is the one she wants to risk it all for. He is smart, charming, caring and kind. He always seems to put Aurora’s needs ahead of his own. He is Jackson and he is amazing.

Though she has become really good friends with Bachelor #1, it is Jackson that has shown her everything she wants in a guy. He adores her and has a bit of a protective edge to him. You just can’t help but fall in love with him.

Oh, but let’s not get too excited about anything here. First of all, Aurora’s primary concern is her little boy. He is amazing and the center of her world. Then there’s the fact that someone has broken into her home and there’s the strange noises the random characters that just keep popping up. This book has a really soft romantic tale to it and given everything that Aurora has been through, you can’t help but cheer our girl on to find the man of her dreams.

Right… I know you are thinking this is a perfect read. She survives the world of online dating and she finds her perfect match and there is a happily ever after and all that jazz… sounds cozy. This book is not cozy, it is not sweet and romantic. It has a romance edge to it, but there is so much more going on in this story. There is chaos, murder, mayhem and a whole lot of psycho. It is suspenseful and nerve-wrecking. You just know that something else is going to happen. And that’s when you reach the end. By then you will be so excited that Aurora has finally found the one that you feel like you and breath easier.

So basically what I am saying is that this book is an amazing read and really you don’t want to put it down until the very end and when the end hits you upside the head, like it did me, you will think of 500 alternate endings that could have been used instead. And a little voice in your head will remind you that this is exactly why this book is going to stand out, do a twirl and take a bow. Because of the 501 endings that could have been used, Dawn Robertson took the one that worked best for the book and left the lasting impression and the need for more.

What can I say about Dawn Robertson, other than she is a genius and master of words! I have read all of her other books and have to say that if you haven't read them, you are SOOOO missing out!!! Look her up, you won't regret it!

"You can’t make a whore a housewife.
But, you will learn. I will teach you.
It is only a matter of time.
You will be my whore. My wife.
You will obey me, and worship me."

In this book you are introduced to Aurora Alexander, a recently divorced woman who has been scorned by her high school sweetheart. While on a mission to find a new man, she is introduced to several, one of which being Jackson Revere. His mission in life is to protect this woman that has stolen his heart. And not only her, but her four year old son, Liam. Jackson, as perfect as he seems, has his own little secrets he holds close. When someone breaks into Aurora’s house, she becomes cautious and scared. Could it be someone she met on the internet? She may never know… This incident makes Aurora feel unsafe and she ends up moving to a different house. Little does she know she still isn't safe...

With her profile becoming more and more interesting, her inbox quickly fills up. She seems to greatly enjoy all the attention she is getting from these men. She really must have missed out on that when she was growing up. This book really gives you the Do's and don'ts of On-line dating. CONFUSING...the good guys are the bad guys and and bad guys are the good guys...who do you choose????

Just know that Dawn keeps you on edge wondering what is going to happen next. There is tons of mystery, suspense, and hot sex. Every time you think you have it figured out, she throws you for a loop. The epilogue left me with my mouth hanging open and in shock thinking OH HELL NO she didn’t!

Well done Dawn, well done!!! Loved it from beginning to end! Look forward to the next one...still shocked but pulling it together.

****Complimentary ARC given in exchange for an honest review****

Aurora is a young divorcee and single mother who decides to humor herself and indulge in the pleasures of online dating. This naive first timer finds herself in several situations from straight forward advances, kissing cousins, skype sex, and wild carnal bathroom sex on a first date. Aurora's not a quitter, and she becomes somewhat addicted to site and the dates that come out of it, until she meets Jackson, who seems to be perfect in every way. They are perfect for one another. Just when Aurora decides that she's found the one, she becomes a victim of an obsessed admirer.

This has a great story line, one that kept my attention. I was amused by the encounters. Especially with Wesley, the voyuer she decided to go "skinny skyping" with. I loved how "alpha" he was. Personally, I don't think she could have handled that one....LOL! I must say, I loved the men in the story, but Aurora was beyond naive. Almost to the point that it was irritating. No woman in her right mind, a business owner, and singlr parent, regardless of or lack there of, life experience would give her telephone number to random men on a dating site thinking she can maintain a "friendship", let alone sex skype with them. As far as as the juiciness, and erotica of this read.... I LOVED IT! It was spontaneous and at time carnal.

While I was reading I was sizing up the the book. Thinking of my rating and review. I was prepared to give this read 5 big ones, but then I read the epilogue. I have to take a star away for the epilogue. Only because, it had me saying WTF?!?!?! Don't get me wrong, the book has a twist and is suspenseful, and has a great story line. I LOVED the story, and then there was the epilogue, that left me in "LIKE" instead of LOVE!!! GREAT READ... I recommend it to all ;-)

Aurora always figured she got out of her crappy home life when she was a kid without bec oming a statastic like other kids. Now she has a new kind of statistic she's a part of, single mother, divorice. Now she's going out navigating the waters of online dating world and learning about finding good men inbetween all the bad who message her just because her pictures looked good and are looking to get laid.

Aurora has had some bad luck in her life, parents who didn't care for her, a husband who cheated on her when she needed him most, her luck or rather lack there of in the blind dates her friends set up. Now she's found not one, but four men who might have potential to become more in her life. But strange happenings have her questioning her judgment. Will she be able to figure out who's a keeper, who's not worth her time, and who's out to get her?

Aurora is strong and independant woman now compaired to who she used to be when married to her husband. She can take care of herself, but knows when it's ok to trust in someone else to help her. Her life might not have been all sunshine and dasies, but its made her into who she is today. And she definitely wouldn't have traded all the hard years because it gave her, her son.

There are allot of ups and downs in Aurora's journey, but I loved seeing her learning to be herself. If you think you know who's who and how this story will go you'll find yourself wrong at every turn. And then there's the ending let me tell you about one killer of an ending! I definitely can't wait to see more!!

Aurora Alexander married her high school sweetheart right out of high school. When she became pregnant with their son and had to be on bed rest, he felt neglected sexually so he looked elsewhere for satisfaction. But it didn’t stop there; when their son Liam was three, she caught him with their eighteen year old babysitter. She filed for divorce and is now starting her life over. It’s a year later and she thinks she’s ready to start dating again. Internet here she comes.

OH MY GOWWWWWD this book is INCREDIBLE!!! I have been following author Dawn Robertson since last fall, and have read almost all of her books. This book is NOTHING like the others. From the blurbs, teasers and synopsis, I knew something bad was going to happen, but didn’t know when. I felt like I was on a tight rope, knowing I was going to fall, but not knowing when. It was intense and nerve wracking and, just wow. I could not put it down. This book was like the craziest roller coaster ride ever! Loopy loops all over the place and plummets from extremely high altitudes. I was absolutely speechless at the end. I felt like I had been hit with a curve ball. Don’t worry Dawn Robertson fans, the queen of erotic did not disappoint, there are hot and steamy sex scenes that had me reaching for . . . well you know. I give this book 5 freakin’ stars with 3.5 hands down the pants. Well done Ms. Robertson, well done!

Jaw dropped. WTH just happened look on my face. << Me, after finishing Statistic by Dawn Robertson. All.Good.Things.

Dawn Robertson weaves a story of love, trust, and deception in a way that I’ve never read before.

Statistic is nothing like any other book that I’ve read from Dawn Roberston. Honestly, took me a bit to get inside the heroine’s head because I’m a bit older than 26 and I’m not divorced. Aurora is a 26 year old, divorced, mother of one adorable little boy. She’s also starting to get back on her feet emotionally and her friends think she should try internet dating. I’ve known a few people who tried internet dating and I’ve never heard good things, although I’m sure some have found love.

Brent is the first man that she goes on a date with and he’s tall, blonde, sexy, and is a single father. They have some things in common, but do they have that spark? Hmm. Then there’s Wesley…tall, dark, handsome, rich..could he be the one? What about Jeremy? He’s always gone, but maybe there could be chemistry. Then there’s my favorite man of all, Jackson. Sexy as sin, landscaper with a big family. He may be the one. I’m not telling you because there are so many damn twists and turns that your head will spin! I want you to go on that emotional roller coaster ride on your own.

Dawn Robertson has a winner with Statistic. She had just the right amount of what-the-heck-just-happened moments, sexy moments, and did they really just do that moments to keep me hooked to my Kindle.
