4.5- I thought that this was a great start to an awesome series. When she realizes that the man she loves has no memory of the most amazing night ever what is a girl to do but run to Paris. Rochelle and Elijah both made mistakes but will the separation make the feelings stronger, or will someone else get in the way of happiness. This is a book that is not full of laughs and romance, not saying that there isn't any but this is a story that shows the importance of letting go to find something lost. Thank you for allowing me to read this and write about it.
adored it although it didnt have the hea i normally love. it kept me wanting to read each chapter and the characters were really well developed. cant wait to read book 2
"The Writer" by Rebekah Dodson is a well-written and interesting novella.
The story begins where Rochelle, who is a journalist, has a great desire to become a writer/author. Her friend, Elijah is very supportive of her dreams and encourages her. Rochelle would love nothing more than to be more than just friends with Elijah, but he is engaged to be married soon.
After spending th night with Elijah, Rochelle realizes that he has no memory of what occurred and vows to keep the secret from him and his fiancée. Rochelle then decides to go to Paris to write and to get away from her unrequited love.
The plot is very good and the characters are realistic. The cliffhanger ending was unexpected, but it made me want to go and purchase the next book in the series, "The Runaway". Which, in fact I just did.
Thanks for the entertaining read, Ms. Dodson. Looking forward to more from this very talented author.
Rebekah Dodson Great romance. Since I was involved in the publishing of this one I won't give a faux review, other than to say it's a great story and if you're looking for a new read, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
