You Are That

Rate this book
The lives of thousands of people have been influenced by Gangaji's teachings. You Are That is a collection of her classic offerings, first shared more than a decade ago and now updated to include both original volumes, a new introduction, rare photographs, and new insights.

This exquisite special edition delves into natural inquiries about our existence, including the nature of mind, how to expose the core of suffering, and how to overcome the last obstacle of self-doubt. Eloquent and direct, Gangaji guides practitioners of all backgrounds through an examination into the self that often leads to unexpected glimpses of awakening.

"This is a moment of reckoning," she teaches. "Do not take this moment casually or trivially. Recognize that for whatever reason, you are aware of the possibility of realizing the truth of yourself as limitless consciousness―you are that!"

My teacher, my sister.

I have always known my Gangaji. In this most recent life stream, she swooped in some 30 years ago, when I was busy growing up while raising my son. I was saved....
Since that time I have spent an eternity with her, sat with her, re-membered with her.
This was another eternal moment, with her, and with me.
Thank you, dear sister.

Mooi, bijzonder format.

This is a review of the kindle edition of this book, which I found to be very poorly edited. It purports to be a transcription of the author's talks, including Q&A sessions, but the layout is poor in that the questions or comments of students are not clearly distinguished in the text from the author's answers and what may be rhetorical questions she asks. When added to a tendency on her part to talk in circles, the result from me was far from clearly articulated teaching and much more like game playing and verbal gymnastics. If there is valuable content here, and for me that would be a stretch, one has to dig through a pile of nonsense to find it.

At first I was really getting into the book, but as I continued I found myself drifting off. It seemed very repetitive. Every chapter was about something different, but seemed to be explained in the same way.

Came across this book by chance while searching for a way to quiet my mind. It came at the right time and after reading only a single chapter I felt silence and peace wash over me. Later I discovered all about Ganga Ji. It will be my go to book whenever I need to be in touch with my inner silence.

For my friends not familiar with the work of Gangaji, I read her books much like Scripture. I never completely finish and put aside her work. This is a book to read and cherish in pieces and to let it speak to your soul. By taking a little at a time, each and every time brings a new angle and renewed connection with self....You Are That....

Yowza this was a DENSE read. Perfect read for first thing in the morning to wake your brain up. This is definitely one I may need to come back to because I’m not sure I fully grasped these big meaty concepts. That being said, what I did understand, was powerful and will stay with me. I look forward to revisiting this book in the future.

I've admired many, many teachers in the past but Gangaji has something very special to offer; and you can realize so by opening up to this well-written, inspiring book that will point you to the most essential Truth.
