3.5 rounded up.
Very impressed that this was self published/the author’s first novel! Definitely a page turner that was hard to put down and I finished the book in two days. I likely would have given it a higher rating, however I predicted who the killer was as soon as we were introduced to the character and I was hoping it would pan out differently as it felt a bit predictable to me.

Redemption’s Echo is a captivating story that deals with the tough subjects of abuse and murder with grace and truth. The main character, Abigail, is assigned to resolve cold cases including the murder of her sister when Abigail was a young teenager. The author takes you on a journey into the past of these sisters and into the present as Abigail hunts for the killer while navigating her buried feelings that resurface.

I enjoyed the author’s attention to detail and the pace of the story kept me wanting to read late into the night. Although the subject can be dark, McIntosh delicately balanced the hard with hope. I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a mystery steeped in real-life scenarios, and for book clubs.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Redemption’s Echo is a compelling story that follows Abigail Carter, a recently promoted Sergeant with a Sheriff’s Office, who grapples with personal setbacks and is tasked to help review the agency’s cold cases including the tragic, unsolved murder of her sister.

McIntosh’s vivid writing captures the internal conflict of a woman striving to overcome her past, while the nuanced characters and their interactions add depth to the story.

This captivating page turner touches on heavy themes of human trafficking, sexual abuse, and drug use, but also on healing, faith, and redemption and is a highly recommended read!

A page turning mystery you won’t want to put down. Beware: Just when you think you have the plot figured out, it will take another twist and keep you guessing! Cathy McIntosh does an amazing job developing the characters, making them feel like friends by the end of the book. She creatively brings an awareness to the danger of sex trafficking. Highly, highly recommend!

Redemption's Echo by Cathy McIntosh pulled me in, and I felt like I was reading about people I knew. I read it in a few days, staying up at times to read one more chapter, which usually ended up being three or more. I love crime novels. The most pleasant part of this novel was that there was no foul language, and the main characters were Christians. I highly recommend this book.

Redemptions Echo is a wonderful mystery, packed with characters who feel so genuine, you want to join them for lunch!

The back cover lets you know that a main character is going to die, yet when it happens you still grieve their loss.

At times this mystery felt a bit like an historical fiction, where you learn the heartbreak law enforcement officers feel when cases go unsolved and their own lives are put in danger.

I enjoyed the writing as much as the characters! Pick up this book for an intriguing read!! Author Cathy McIntosh doesn’t disappoint!

This book is my favorite read of the year! This author has an amazing talent for developing characters, I was able to connect with the characters in a way that made me feel like I knew them and was a friend to them. The author had me tearing up with sadness, pumping my fist with excitement, giggling with glimmers of happiness and humor while also hitting my bed with frustration for these characters and their journey is the story. And that to me is truly amazing writing, like watching a tv show. But the main character in particular is truly amazing on so many levels and quickly became an all time favorite book character of mine. I truly felt all the feels reading this book and it was written so captivatingly that I couldn’t help but devour page after page late in the evening hours. I will be anxiously awaiting for the release of this authors next book!
