As one of Earth’s greatest leaders, Commander Jax Spartan lives his life by a strict code. Dedicated and alpha to the core, he is the epitome of what every Elite solider aspires to be. Second-in-command Sullivan Archer rules by his best friend’s side, and together they form an unstoppable force that few are foolish enough to challenge. Jax and Archer have always known they’d share their chosen, but their hearts have already been claimed by the woman they’ve vowed will belong to them.
Alliance scientist Serra Lysander is a genius who has kept the planet safe with her inventions. She’s lived a sheltered life, separated from society by her brilliant mind and her overprotective mother. The only time Serra has truly ever felt accepted is with the two men that will cost her everything…
When danger leads Serra straight into the arms of Jax and Archer, they will do anything to keep her safe, even claiming her despite the fact she is off limits. With the future of the Alliance on the line, will their love and dedication be enough to save them, or will they be too late to stop the growing threat from destroying them all?
Laurie Roma mainly writes contemporary, romantic suspense, fantasy, and sci-fi romance. She can usually be found tapping away on her keyboard, creating worlds for her characters while she listens to music. Of course, her playlist depends on her mood…but then again, so does her writing. She loves to hear from her readers and can be reached at laurieromabooks@gmail.com.
Usually I go to this series when I m in the mood for something fast , sweet and sexy. This works for me most of the time. In this case I was not a fan of "damsel in distress" type, I like my h strong, independent and witty . Serra is the intelligent type of h, waiting to be held and helped. I have noticed that the duos of Heroes are very similar in every book.. one of them is passive, logical, sarcastic and charming (here Archer Sully) and the other one is grumpy, usually with anger issues, demanding and controlling (Jax Spartan). The story moves forward, new drama (mommy drama) , new characters introduced , more sexy times but nothing special or memorable. I still enjoy reading this short stories and probably will continue to do so with the couples that interest me.
“Hard and fast, or soft and slow. Anyway we take you, it’s us loving you.”
Excellent. I really enjoyed this one. Well written and enjoyable to read. If you enjoy reading futuristic sci-fi menage and romance then you will love this series. Looking forward to the next one in the series.
Jax and Sullivan have known Serra since they were children and through the machinations of her mother they lost contact. They "claimed" to always love her and was waiting for her but they still slept with other women in the separation. They were never really together but I think if you are waiting for someone you should actually WAIT. She was a virgin which totally made me hate the book. I don't mind if both are having sex with others during the separation but I absolutely HATE it when the author makes the heroine this ultra pure virgin and the men are whoring around because they have so called needs. Women have needs too dammit!! If I didn't want to see what happened to Serra's mother this would be a DNF for me.

What I like most about this series is that each book - characters, plot etc are all quite different although they all have the same setting. They have all been quick, fun and sexy reads in an interesting sci fi world, and have been just what I was looking for at the time. Can't wait to read next one (hopefully it will be about Dom, Arik and Skylar).
I gave up on this book. I could forgive the typo "incredibly intelligence". But, then, during a lovemaking scene, the author used the words, "Use your words". I say this. Every parent I know says this. Only they say it TO THEIR KIDS. NOT THEIR LOVERS.
Okay second chance SFR menage romance. Must admit the story lost its allure for me when I realised for all their declarations of pining the H's weren't celibate in the many years of separation, while the h stayed a virgin:(
As always I was looking for a good science fiction read, and Ms. Roma came through. I so love the first book in the series. I like how the writer brings all the elements together to keep you reading. Its a decent length and even though this is book 3, its mostly a stand alone. Even when little Jax seem to be a force to reckon with, growing up with his best friend Archer made the pair deadly. Where Archer is the quiet deadly, Jax is the up in your face deadly. When their childhood friend was brought in on a criminal investigation, both Jax and Archer will leave no stone unturned in to proving her innocence. Serra was a genius, her brain worked as a computer most people around her didn’t understand her. Jax and Archer always proved to be different, they knew her and was always there for her. So it really didn’t surprise her when they burst through the door and came to defense...by claiming her. Serra's heartache isn’t over there will be a few things that Serra will have to deal with, mainly her bossy bond mates. Serra though as loved them since she before she new what love was. Grab this awesome read follow Serra as betrayal, passion and duty will put her her childhood friends through their paces. I really liked Skylar it will be awesome to see her with her own story. The story was a good mix of emotions and just enough detail the mmmm sexy stuff was hot and warm in all the right places. I had fun reading this … Enjoy I did.
3013: Claimed by Laurie Roma is the third book in the 3013 series. I felt this book was a stand alone, this is my first introduction into the series and I wasn’t lost at all. We have the story of Jax Spartan the alpha leader with enhancements that magnify his natural abilities, Sullivan Archer the softer of the two men, he is the observer with enhancements that make him the perfect for Jax and his skill set. Serra Tysander is their mate. She is very smart, withdrawn and prone to panic attacks. Both men have always been there for her and always protected her the best they could. The villain in this story is someone that Serra will never see coming. It is a very personal twist that adds dimension and emotion this story. Both of Serra’s men are intensely passionate and bring out that passion in her as well. I personally loved that no one was left out. They each had something to bring to this relationship and it’s essential to the storyline. That coupled with great connection makes this a must read. I am looking forward to going back in this series and seeing the books I missed. After reading Claimed I must know more about this world and the people that live and love there.
This book is a reviewer's choice and five shooting stars!!

Claimed is the second book in the 3013 series, and as soon as I finished it, I swooped back and bought book 1 Mated. Claimed is an awesome, fun, sexy afternoon read. Filled with intrigue, love, treachery, and an awesome heroine, heroes, and secondary characters, this book is an absolute win.
Earth has greatly changed in 3013, as a result of an attempted alien invasion, and an Alliance formed with other aliens. Serra Lysander is a brilliant scientist, and her two mates, Jax Spartan and Sullivan Archer are strong warriors. Sparks certainly fly when these guys meet up again!
I’m absolutely fascinated with this world, human culture is so different and changed- and the genetic modifications are certainly interesting. There are several different alien races also mentioned, which I’m excited to learn more about. I definitely can’t wait to explore this Universe in much more depth.
I have seen the 3013 book series before but had never read them, but I am glad I decided to give 3013: Claimed a shot. Not only were the male leads Jack and Asher strong sexy alpha males, they were also devoted loyal mates to their chosen. Sera is an off the charts genius and a strong female who not only loves her men but doesn't allow them to run over her. The love scenes are spicy but not raunchy. I really enjoyed the book and have already downloaded another one.
Ms. Roma gives her readers a novel full of exquisite passion and romance. The heroes are sexy alpha men and the heroine(s) are strong, smart and sexy. Add in action and suspense and you have a kick ass novel. This was a great addition to her 3013 series. Looking forward to the next one. Hopefully it will cover Skylar, Dom and Arik.
I really like this series and can't wait for the next book to be released. I was happy to read Jax, Sullivan and Serra story Alliance scientist Serra Ms. Roma writes great stories. I enjoy her books.
Ajax and Archer are the perfect alpha males. They protect, and cherish without diminishing their chosen. Sierra is a genius with a career and purpose of her own. Her stealth tech is being sold on the black market. Along with a true psycho mother and trying to find out who is selling her tech this book is full of action and drool worthy heat. Highly recommend and cannot wait to read the rest of the series.
I like a good alien menage story and I liked this one because it was very interesting. It kept my interest thru the whole book due to all the twists and turns in the story. I did not give it a 5 because something was missing that would draw me in emotionally. The characters where likable & there was chemistry but it lacked something I can't put my finger on.
I liked the lead characters quite a bit. They talked through everything, trusted each other and their love was believable. One small thing that bothered me was that even though Jax and Archer were waiting for her, they still slept with other women while she saved herself. Bit of a double standard there but it was just mentioned in passing, barely a blip in the story.
These book just keep getting better, loved this one, had a good story line to go with a nice romantic connection between Sully, Jax and Serra. The potential relationships being hinted at in this book make you want to read on more as well. Looking forward to it.
This book opens as Commanders Jax Spartan and Sulivan Archer are observing an interrogation. The woman, Serra Lysander, is someone they've both known since childhood and they know she has nothing to do with the problem being investigated, but she needs to be cleared.
Regent Marie Wyland-Ross and High Commander Roman Newgate are conducting this interview/interrogation. Jax would have stopped it if he could, but he was too late. He could however keep an eye on things, so they don't go too far.
Unfortunately, things were about to as Serra begins to panic. To end things, Jax and Archer claim her.
Things are far more complicated than they could have imagined as the medical personnel can't find anything wrong with Serra. Jax calls in Dominic Stryker and Arik D'Vir for help. Arik is a D'Aire and could read through her mind in a truth test. He would do that but not without her consent. However, before they could ask her, Dom asks her if she wants to press charges over Jax and Archer claiming her. The intense pain she gets as she tries to answer has Arik stepping forward to tell them she has a blank space in her mind that he could feel without probing. He believes her memories have been altered and that is what is causing her pain. Most likely with the use of the drug xili thought to have been destroyed.
The memory erased shows a deep betrayal and Serra will need to deal with that. Arik does help a bit by showing her some of his own of Jax and Archer always speaking of her with affection.
The most obvious person to be behind the current investigation really couldn't be, but it also has to be someone close. The path to the truth adds intrigue, suspense and danger to an already tense situation.
I love Jax, Archer and Serra together. They will have much to work out with their professional lives, but compromise is always the key.
I will be continuing to read this series, I love these characters!
Serra develops stealth tech for the Alliance but the Regents believe she may be selling the information to bad guys and are interrogating her. Jax and Sullivan are beyond angry and have their guys come in when Serra loses her hold and begins to shut down. If course she is exonerated but Jax and Sully claim her while she is sedated and so they wait for her to wake. It all gets messy and there are lots of plots.
I'm just going to shelve this to free up room on my kindle unlimited. The h is just too fragile. She's slightly on the spectrum and needs to be taken care of. There is no banter. No push/pull. It's just not my thing. Maybe I need to be in a different mood for it.
