This review is for the book “The Key’s Blind Side”; the second book in the Key’s Trilogy.
Who says sequels can’t be as good as the first? This one is. While helpful to have read the first book, it was not essential for grasping the full story line of the second book.
The author did a nice job summarizing the important information from the first book quickly and moves on. I thought it pleasing that the adventure this time was totally different from the last book. Except for that fact that almost all the same people are involved and it is set in the same town, everything else is different. Again, …….very pleasant, exciting, and interesting reading.
There is quite a bit of focus in this book on virtual reality and artificial intelligence. What I especially liked was that the emphasis on creativity and analysis of ideas & situations used and discussed in the first book continued to be used in this book with the new focus on artificial intelligence. This reinforces that the fundamental principles of deep thought can be used in any situation.
I also liked that the characters did not let their “fun world” become too obsessive and override their responsibilities and fun in the real world. A nice role model balance was demonstrated. As intended, the author did a very nice job of providing a fun book with important messages.
Overall, I enjoyed and appreciated this book as much as the first!

The plot is meticulously crafted, with a perfect balance of action and suspense. Pruitt expertly weaves in unexpected twists and turns that keep the reader guessing and engaged. The pacing is spot-on, ensuring that there is never a dull moment. The story's climax is both satisfying and thought-provoking, leaving readers with plenty to ponder long after they've turned the last page.
