"Looks like magic has returned to Willowbrook."

3.5⭐️

I really enjoyed this story but felt like the last part of the book was rushed. I really wish this was longer, especially about the feral wolf that came into it.
Other than that, it was a great comfort read.

Sarah, a human, is on the road, leaving the past behind her. When she stumbles across a quaint little town, Willowbrook. When she visits the local diner to get a much needed meal, her eyes are set on a man whose soul speaks to her and hers to his.
Will she give in the unknown bond she has with the towns sheriff before it's too late for his wolf?

Wolf Fated is a paranormal shifter romance. Content and triggers include

🐺 curvy FMC
🐺 shifters
🐺 cheating ex
🐺 body shaming (by ex past tense)
🐺 quaint little town

And in that moment, I know without a shadow of a doubt that I will never let her go, not for as long as I draw breath. She is mine, now and forever, and I will move heaven and earth to shield her from a world that has already taken heavy tolls.

Rating: 4.5/5
Spice: 1.5/5

Is there a way to check if I have dormant shifter blood so that I may find my way to Willowbrook too?

High on emotions after catching her cheating boyfriend in the act, Sarah packs her bags and flees the city. Driving aimlessly, she ends up in a quaint little town called Willowbrook where she expects to spend one night in order to rest. Until she meets the town sheriff, Mitch. She is definitely not ready to get involved with another man so soon, but she can’t deny the attraction between them that seems to run soul deep. He is, however, no simple man.

Given the length of the book, the instant attraction and fated mates bond were handled wonderfully. I loved how their connection was about them as individuals as well and Mitch did not force her into anything. We also get glimpses of the overarching plot about the town’s curse and the feral wolves, and I cannot wait for book 2!

2024:
I enjoyed this book - it was relatively quick and simple. Heartfelt in all the right places.
It would've been great to see more of the backstory of the town, but I feel like that will be explored as the series continues.
Looking forward to the next instalment.

For someone who has only just re-engaged with my love of reading, receiving this book as part of my ARC reading group was something I was very looking forward to due to the amazing cover! Overall, I enjoyed this short story and will forever be referring to books this length as "Palate Cleansers" for the otherwise smutty literature I've fallen in love with. In saying that, this authors dive into a more 🌶 writings is actually impressive with how little pages she has given us and cannot wait to see how she does in the next lot of books! That being said, the only thing that I would have liked a hell of a lot more elaboration on was Sarah and Mitch "falling in love" story. The instant attraction of the fated mates is INTENSE and is my favorite trope, however, the end of the book was kind of a disappointment as Sarah ✨️ magically ✨️ fell in love AFTER she left him for 8 days and then poof. In a page they're in each other's arms and declaring their undying love. That felt a little rushed to me and could have been stretched out a little bit further, but that's just me. All in all, there is so much potential for this series and cannot wait to read further!

A short PNR story about fated mates and the wolf world.

I did enjoy this story, and I easily read it in one sitting. I did find the last part of the story rushed and would have loved to have seen it stretched out a bit more.

However, overall, it's a cute insta-love PNR and I would love to visit Willowbrook myself. Unlike most wolf shifter stories where the wolf can be mated to any other species, including humans, I love the concept that for Sarah, who appears to be completely human, to be Mitch's mate, she has to have a little tiny bit of wolf DNA in her. It was a nice little change up that I haven't read in a really long time.

I would love to know more and will definitely read the next one in the series which will hopefully answer a few questions I have.

3.5 stars.

Tropes: Fated mates, PNR, shifters, curvy FMC, small town.
Triggers: Cheating ex, body shaming (in past by ex), kidnapping.

This was written so beautifully and I was instantly hooked!

Although this was a short story, I was immediately immersed into it and it never felt rushed. Things toward the end could have been longer but I still feel like they weren’t rushed and that the story told as it is was simply beautiful and magical.
The wolf bond was captured so beautifully and I loved the mechanics of it, like how it was felt immediately in both of them even though only one was a wolf.
This book was truly written in such a captivating way that I was completely immersed and enamored with it instantly.
My only complaint is silly but it is the MMC’s name being Mitch lmao! I can’t picture someone with that name being the sexy and caring wolf we love in this book LOL
I’m hooked and will definitely be continuing the series!

This was a short fated mates PNR.

Sarah stumbles upon Willowbrook after leaving her cheating ex, and she has an instant attraction to Mitch, who happens to be the sheriff and pack alpha.

Mitch knows Sarah is his fated mate but she knows nothing of the shifter world so he has to be careful.

I enjoyed this story, it's short but packs quite a bit in, some parts felt rushed, especially at the end, but it's a insta-love fated mates so was never going to be too long.

This book is leading into a series as there were other characters being set up for possible future stories.

I have questions about the neighbouring packs and how the whole shifter world exists hidden from humans but I'm going to assume these will be covered in future books.

- fated mates
- PNR
- shifters

I really enjoyed this read - it was easy, fun and quick.

Sarah has recently broken up with her cheating ex and is determined to escape her current life and find herself again. She finds her way to Willowbrook - a town that sounds absolutely charming and I wish I could find too - and instantly attracts the attention of the locals, including Sheriff Mitch.

While the story is about werewolves and fated mates, it is done with a lot of respect and actual choice. There’s no forcing to accept the bond, and it’s all very sweet.

It was a short story and the plot - particularly the second half - did seem quite quick. I’m keen to hear more about this world and plan to read the other books in the series

This was an ARC copy. I very happily read this book in one session. It is a wolf shifter/paranormal romance that ticks along at a pretty rapid pace. The hero falls fast and hard and the MFC has to play catch up with the whole notion of shifters etc.

Unfortunately the ending felt like it was a closure just to finish the story - there was plenty of room for more character development and a smoother resolution to the the story. A few plot actions were left unexplained, such as the feuding with he neighbours, but hopefully this is fleshed out in the next books.

Overall though a very entertaining read.

Enjoyed this book !!

Cute story about broken hearts and dreams that get another chance. There was a few questions at the end, but I guess that will be addressed in the next book.
Sarah has been driving all nilly silly after a very bad shock. She ends up in this picturesque little town that already feels familiar somehow.
Mitch is the alpha and sheriff of is pack lands and , even though the goddess hasn't blessed him with a mate, he is happy enough. At least until he goes feral, but hopefully he has a little while yet.
But a chance encounter changes both of their fates !!
Great book, would definitely get the the next !!

This was an ARC read. I did enjoy the story and the tropes, found family, he falls first. The writing style was a little juvenile for me and the ending seemed rushed. It wasn't my favorite shifter romance but it had a great story. I loved all of the people in the town, gave me Stars Hollow vibes from Gilmore Girls. Not a ton of spice, but the spice that was there was so passionate and so beautiful.

Felt Rushed

The characters were engaging and pulled you in, and the plot piqued my interest, but it all felt rushed. The majority of the book takes place over 24 hours, in which the FMC goes from "I hate men and will never love again" to "😍 Take me home!" I can understand this for the MMC from the fated mates pov, but as a human this made no sense to me - even if she felt some of the same pull. Lots of potential but it fell a bit flat to me.

His pack is cursed and he needs to find his fated mate before he turns feral. He will find her in a way he never expect as she gets past their wards. He needs to win her over without scaring her away, as he fights to keep sane. What will he do? Can he win her over in time? See how they get on

Lovely book , lovely description of the town and characters
I just feel this book didn’t stand out , there wasn’t anything for me to remember it by , I feel like it didn’t have any definitive moments ,
The author is definitely got a good eye to create I feel it needs to be more defined , so they stand out from the rest of the books already out there

I read this in a few hours. A fast paced, fated mates, wolf shifter + human girl small town romance with major touch her and die vibes. Curvy FMC Sarah finds herself in the small town of Willowbrook and quickly comes face to face with the Sherrif and pack Alpha Mitch, who's almost feral wolf is ecstatic to finally find his mate. I ate this book up! Definitely a recommended read.

Sheriff Yummy !!

Adored this first foray into the Willowbrook shifters world ! The storyline is easy to follow and is filled with everything you want in a paranormal romance, though I do wish the Author had delved deeper into how and why the “feral” shifter had taken Sarah. Other than that a great story. 4✨’s

I truly did love this book. The world building I felt fully immersed into this new world and the characters were amazing. If you like an Alfa male who falls first and a headstrong female then this is the book for you.

I also felt like this book was a little rushed I wished she had taken more time to develop the story more.

A quick and fun read. Read in a few hours, had to know what happens next! Mitch and Sarah have a tumultuous story, they must fight to get their HEA. There’s a perfect little diner, perfect den, festivities and tensions of all kinds! I felt the story could’ve been longer, it felt a bit rushed to me and I think Ebony could easily write a much more in depth piece. This was a first for me from Ebony and I will be reading the next in this series and looking for more from her!
