I am giving this one a 5 star even though out of this series it was my least favourite. The storyline is great the characters were great I’m not exactly sure what about it wasn’t as captivating? It might have just been the dynamic of the two main characters but it was still an amazing read.
Another stunning read from FR Black. I wish I could live in this woman's head. This one's FMC is a bada$$, and the MMC is something out of most women's dreams. Think Henry Cavill from Witcher 😉. This book does not disappoint.
I typically am so picky with paranormal/ fantasy books, however, with this series I was recommended onGalatea, I could not put it down. I finished the series in two days. There were aspects of book three and five that I didnt like as much as 1,2,4,&6, however, overall the series is PERFECT! I cannot wait to read the rest of 7 (and hopefully more)!
Hated the cultural errors, not sure if it’s ignorance or stupidity. Japanese and Chinese are not the same. Hara is a Japanese last name, not Chinese at all. Hiro is also a Japanese name, not Chinese, and it’s a male name. So Hiro (the main character) is Chinese living in Tokyo modeling for anime and manga, practicing karate (Japanese martial art), so why not just make her Japanese? It was aggravating that this not explained which leads me to believe the author just doesn’t know the difference which is pretty awful to write a book being so ignorant.
Now aside from these annoying cultural errors, the story was interesting enough. I did think the whole step-sibling thing was a bit twisted, but I guess that’s popular. And Hiro (ugh hate referring to her by a man’s name) being excited to go was refreshing. I liked Andreas. Though the whole he’s over 100 years old thing was weird. So if he ages differently does that mean he’ll outlive Hiro (who is 24 in this book) or age slower? None of that is actually explained though. The whole Maura thing also was incredibly anticlimactic, even the reveal of Var being her son was boring. I think I might’ve given this one another star if not for all the cultural ignorance.
First off, I recommend this series. The books are entertaining and humorous with some pretty badass women agents sent to planets to help save the day. Looking forward to the next book as the agents will be men.
Some things were brought up in other reviews I’d like to address in case that keeps someone from reading the book. First is the step sibling thing. Andreas hasn’t seen his step-sister since she was 5 and is now 24. Her dad married his mom so no relation and over 2 decades since they’d seen each other. She would’ve been even too young to remember him. Also the age gap was brought up. Yes he’s 100 but this is a fantasy mythical land where things move differently. Will one outlive the other because of this? I just tell myself no that’s it’s fantasy and anything can happen. After all if you are going to look this closely at facts, the premise for this whole series goes out the window.
This book was definitely in the top 2-3 of the entire series worth of books! Loved the main characters and their dynamics. This book kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat. The plot was interesting!!! Live this series and the book was great!
Huge fan of this whole series. I really liked this installment. It was flirty, sexy, and contrived in the best way possible. Like really that’s the easiest way for him to balance his power and not die?
Well yes…yes it is….is that going to be a problem?
This one was harder to get into and I couldn’t remember most of the plotline from my first read, unlike the rest of the series. I was about halfway through the book before I remembered everything that was gonna happen and then I excitedly finish the book in one day. Not my favorite in the series, but not my least favorite.
Romantasy, secret agent, ice world, Snow White/evil queen, vibes, major sexual tension 🌶️🌶️
Ok you may all know how I’m not a huge fan of the age gap troupe, but this one is so extreme I don’t even?! 😂😅 on this planet, the Gaelins (misspelled most likely) live like HUNDREDS OF YEARS but our FMC, Hiro, is only 24, and our MMC, King Andreas and step brother is over 100…. Soo ummm how can I even?!? 🤯. But I’m so invested in this series that it doesnt bother me as much and did I mention fantasy world?!? 😅
Ok now that I got that out of the way…. AHHHH I LOVEEEEEE this forbidden love story!! Its so dirty (but so mild in actual spice) BUT SO there heat and angst and…. ❗️Trigger Warning❗️there is also some cheating….Unfortunately, but there’s explanations, but fair warning!
Regardless, I really enjoyed the plot on this Fairy Godmother mission.. and the PLOT TWIST!! Ekkk ! This was one of my favourite books in this series! ❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍 and only two more to go 🥺🥺🥺
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸… 💙Another World - Ice Planet 💙Forbidden Love - Step Siblings 💙Hidden Identity 💙Age Gap - 100 years Right?!! Fantasy worlds 💙Arranged Marriage (to another man!) 💙Instant Attraction 💙So much angst 💙Touch her and ☠️ 💙Single POV (with small snips of mmc) 💙Open Door - mild 💙Interconnected series but can be read as standalone
This book hit me hard as mental health is a bit discussed in it. The author was really good in portraying the struggles the FMC faces regarding it. I was really grateful that it was done in a respect fut manner.
Hiro is strong but we can see how vulnerable she also is, but she fights and don't let anything bring her down. The romance is just amazing and honestly, who doesn't like forbidden step-siblings romance ( but not really).
This is book 6 and the plot/story is not redundant, I love it.
FGI does it again balancing the universal scale of right and wrong by bringing love to powerful men in need. Of course love the magic problem solver. A frozen world with giant wild life and it's own beauty, and don't fall for your not related step-brother....or do? This is FGI where girl power, perfect skin and bad ass skills win the heart. Totally silly but cute reads.
I love all these books but I really enjoyed this one. I’m a lover of Asian culture and I was glad to see it sprinkled into this story. The world was beautiful and well depicted so I could really imagine the landscape.
