Lyssa Jones #4

Blissful Magic

Rate this book
It's Halloween in Bliss in this Lyssa Jones cozy mystery novella!Lyssa Jones is about to face her spookiest case yet. As autumn leaves dance and jack-o'-lanterns grin, her business partner Sam Coby is launching the town's first-ever Haunted Harvest Festival. But when things start going bump in the night (and day) at The Stitchery, the fiber arts shop owned by mystic goddess Elva McDowell, it's clear this haunting isn't part of the planned festivities.

Armed with determination and a knack for unraveling mysteries faster than a mummy's bandages, Lyssa and Sam dive headfirst into the ghostly goings-on. With ghostly dad Jimi and furry sidekicks Trouble and Stevie providing moral support, Lyssa and Sam are determined to get to the bottom of this supernatural mischief.

As they investigate, they need all the help they can get. Cue Aunt Maybee's unconventional wisdom and a town full of colorful characters more than happy to lend a hand (or a spatula, or a crystal ball). But beware of Mrs. Abernathy, the judgmental city council member, whose opposition to the festival and knack for stirring up trouble rival any supernatural mischief Bliss has ever seen.

So grab your broomstick, don your best witch's hat, and join Lyssa for a spine-tingling, rib-tickling romp through the most enchanting (and enchanted) town in Iowa. In Bliss, the tricks are tricky, the treats are sweet, and the mysteries are always in fashion!

Blissful Magic!

This is the fourth book in this series and it is a wonderful visit with, now, old friends. It’s Halloween and when stranger things start happening at a local store the team of friends unite to figure it out. This is a quick, fun, amusing diversion. It’s a little too clean for my taste but it’s well written and the characters likeable.

This one went at a much slower pace than the rest of the series. Extremely predictable. I figured out the mystery in the first third of the book.
