About the author

After almost 27 years of marriage Sharon's beloved husband Michael passed away in 2014. Together they had a life filled with adventure, laughter and unconditional love. She considers herself blessed to have been loved that way. She has three grown children and a busy cat named Sparky.

Her love for mystery and suspense began in the fifth grade, when she found a whole set of Nancy Drew mysteries with pink covers in the school library. Sharon is the author of five humorous mysteries that were written for Christian readers. Her second book in her Ruby Taylor mystery series was voted book of the year by American Christian Fiction Writers. She has written over thirty books for Love Inspired Suspense many of which have appeared on USA Today Bestseller lists. Night Prey (Love Inspired Suspense) won the Carol Award from American Christian fiction writers.

Sharon has a bachelor's degree in film production and a master's degree in history. She loves old movies like Double Indemnity and anything by Frank Capra or Alfred Hitchcock. She enjoys reading all kinds of books but is partial to the nonfiction of C. S. Lewis. She loves to hear from readers. This is a good read. Purchased it at Booksale. Finally done reading. It took me months to finish this. Haha not the girl who can finish in one sitting anymore. Nevertheless the love in reading never fades. It never leaves you. It's always there, always.

TASHA’S CHRISTMAS WISH by Sharon Dunn is the fabulous, captivating story of Tasha Henderson and Dr. Philip Strathorn. Philip’s young daughter getting lost during the Christmas Craft Fair causes a chance meeting that starts the ball rolling from customer to friendship. Dare they dream of more!

Tasha had a high paying job as a designer in the big city. While the pay and benefits were great, it didn’t leave her feeling fulfilled. Working what seemed to be every waking moment left her absolutely no private time. Deciding to take a leap of faith, she quit her job. Following her dream, she ventures into the business world to create custom dolls. Knowing she’ll be relying on her small savings starting out, she decides to move back to Pony Junction. She converted a barn into her studio with bedroom quarters in the loft. With lots of space, maybe renting out space to fellow artisans might help with the bills. Another reason to move back was her mother’s worsening health issues. She wants to be the one taking care of her.

Philip still mourns the loss of his wife, but it seems to have hit his young daughter, who often has nightmares, even more so. After meeting Tasha, who was the one that found his lost daughter and helped to reunite them, and seeing her dolls, he decides to order two custom dolls for Mary – one of Mary’s mother and one of her. While going through the doll process, Philip has several encounters with Tasha. The more they are together the more he likes her, but is he ready for any kind of relationship? How would it ever work with her in one state and him in another hundreds of miles apart?

Will Tasha’s dream come true or burn out before it even gets started? Will enticements from her former boss, make her wonder if she’s made the right decision? Will following her dreams lead her to possibly finding something more along the way? While Philip shares her faith, dare she risk her heart for a long-distance relationship that seems doomed before it even starts? Can Philip and Mary make peace with their grief?

While TASHA’S CHRISTMAS WISH may not seem like a long read, it’s because it keeps you turning pages while pulling on your heart strings. Tasha and Philip’s growing attraction and sweet Mary’s innocence will have you hoping for a happily ever after. Sharon Dunn gives us a story of never giving up on one’s dream, keep believing that love will find a way, anything worth having is worth working for, true love goes the distance– or shortens it, love of family and romance while weaving it all with a wonderful thread of faith. TASHA’S CHRISTMAS WISH is without a doubt FIVE STAR reading! I highly recommend it to everyone – at Christmas or anytime.

I absolutely loved this book! It's one I would read every holiday season, for sure! The story centers around Tasha, a young woman who is giving up her job in busy Denver to move to Montana, where her mother who is ill is living. She also wants to devote her time starting up a doll making business which is her life's love. She meets a handsome doctor with a lucrative practice in Denver and who also has a little girl. Philip lost his wife not long ago and was still grieving. And the love affair begins for them!
