It's their second chance at love, but may be their only chance for survival in the conclusion of Beverly Long's The Men from Crow Hollow miniseries

Elle Vollman hadn't expected to live when the plane went down. She never thought she'd see her daughter again or give testimony against one of the world's worst human traffickers. I really enjoyed this book. The plot was full of suspense, action and romance. The details about the plane crash was vivid.

Elle and Brody were engaged to get married 13 years before, when Elle left a note and disappeared. After the plane crashed Elle was helping the other passengers the best she could. Heavy debris was on top of one of the passengers. She was shocked to find out that it was Brody, her ex fiancé. He is a doctor, and did a good job patching up the passengers with Elle's help. I loved Mrs Hardy, her since of humor was entertaining. Mrs. Hardy was a older lady, and she and her husband was on vacation. She pointed out there are some advantages to being an old woman.

Elle and Brody took off though the rain forest to get help. The suspense to the story was excellent. When the two heard a helicopter, they just knew they were about to be saved. Moments later someone was shooting at them. Elle had some people that wanted to make sure she never left the rain forest alive. You'll have to read and see if the two made it out alive, and if they found love once again along the way.

I enjoyed the final book of this trilogy. I loved how it ended, and I won't give it away, but I would love to of seen more at the end about all three men and their new families but other than that, this was fairly fast paced & an excellent story.

Engaged to be married over 13 years ago, Elle never believed she would see the love of her life ever again, Brody Donovan, let alone see him on a plane that was about to crash. Elle, currently a widower, with an adopted child who was hidden away regretted leaving Brody years ago, but I believe it was all because she felt she wasn't good enough. She's trying to protect her daughter, the priest she's been helping, and herself from a madman named TK James.

Brody, was on a much needed vacation after patching up men in the service for the past 12 years. He was burnt out, needing a time of rest and relaxation and badly needing of time away from the ghost of the one that got away as well. He couldn't wait to get to the beach and just relax. Thinking of Elle, and how he missed her, though he was upset with her that she left, not understanding what happened when she left so long ago. When he heard her voice, he thought he was dreaming her up while the plane was going down. (Ok the part about life proves things can get worse, was a bit much! )

Once the plane crashes, realizing they are on the same plane, though there is great tension, her and Brody work together to try and save the men and women on the plane. As they work together, they realize that their love and chemistry will always be there. Fighting it in the beginning, They both begin to admire and respect the other and the person they have become. They both know that someone needs to leave and make contact with Brody's friend or the US to come and rescue them, as it seems no one has noticed their plane has gone down. Or was this all planned?

As they begin to process and guess why the plane went down while they go for help from Elle's friend. They find him, and Once they were given a place to stay, their passion, chemistry and love began to heat up again! I think Brody pretty much decided that he was going to save Elle and make her his, I think about half way through the book, or he would die trying.

There was a tense situation while in the boat, and Brody speaks up and saves both himself and Elle. Through clever planning they work together to save one another, from the crash, their capture, but also so they could try and be together once this was all over.

Again, I loved the ending, only wish maybe there was more than just 3/4 page!!

I’ve not read anything else by this author but would not hesitate to pick up the rest of the books in this series. I’m always a sucker for a second chance romance. I love the backstory that is fed to us in bits and pieces and the fact that the two main characters lived life and matured only to come full circle and question honestly why they didn’t make a go of it the first time. As a twice married person myself, I so recognize the difference and intensity of first love as compared to a more mature love. I’m not saying that one is better than the other but you don’t tend to take things for granted the second time around and you know that trust and compromise make for much smoother and romantic sailing.
I loved the suspense and South American jungle flavor of the setting. One of my top reasons for loving Harlequins was always the chance to travel to different locals and experience different cultures from the comfort of my couch. Trapped delivered this in spades. This story was fast paced and suspenseful, with just the right amount of romantic tension to make it a very enjoyable read. I read it in one sitting, late one night and then started another romance as I was too wound up to sleep. And everyone knows sleep is highly overrated when compared to a good book.

This was a fun, light read - a Harleqin romance. It involves two former lovers who haven't seen each other for thirteen years. They coincidentally end up in the same small plane that crashes in the Amazon. Brody Donovan is still available and is a handsome, caring doctor. Elle Vollman, also single, and never married, now teaches at a small school. As survivors of the crash, they try to find help so they and the other survivors can get out of the jungle. They found out that their plane was set up to crash on purpose as Elle is being hunted by a man named T.K. Jamas, who she has been asked to testify against in court, having knowledge of his human trafficking crimes. T.K. Jamas wants her dead. Elle and Brody grow closer and learn to love again as they go through this adventure.

Suspence to the end

I enjoyed the weaving of the plot and characters in this story of long-lost romance with mystery. Adding the "twist" of a global crime kept my interest in this story. I am a fan of Beverly King's writing style and her stories that allow the villain to get their "just rewards."

So far I'm going round in circles! I've bought the book, but cannot get past the sample no matter what I try!

Not happy at all. Have had problems lately with most buys. It did not use to be this contrary or difficult. Some go through easy but lately pretty frustrating.

The Intrigue line keeps books under 60,000 words, so I ended up reading in this book in less than two days. Beverly Long is a new author to me, but I was instantly taken in with her characters’ initial circumstances. I mean, come on, a plane crash!

It’s their second chance at love, but may be their only chance for survival in the conclusion of Beverly Long’s The Men from Crow Hollow miniseries

Elle Vollman hadn’t expected to live when the plane went down. She never thought she’d see her daughter again or give testimony against one of the world’s worst human traffickers. But she learned never to say never because she never thought she’d see her ex-fiancé, Dr. Brody Donovan, again either. Now here he was, amongst the survivors, applying medical care to those in need. Lost in the Amazon and being hunted by more than just wildlife, it will take their combined strength to find help and rescue the others. The fierce jungle has doomed many, and trusting one another is the only way either of them will find their way back…maybe even to each other…

I really enjoyed the fact the book was a quick read, but with that, I had trouble believing the romance between Elle and Brody. I understood there was history, so maybe there didn’t need to be so much development between them, but one page Brody doesn’t trust Elle, and the next, he’s pulling her close and kissing her senseless. I would’ve liked to have seen the conflict between them a little more prolonged. Alas, Intrigues focus mainly on the mystery and suspense rather than the romance, so I can’t fault the story or the author in that respect.

There was a bit too much going on with the heroine for me not to believe she wouldn’t have psychological problems later in life or at least relationship issues, however. The things she’s been through and gotten herself involved with should’ve left a mark, but again, the story needed to be kept short to adhere to the publisher’s guidelines.

All in all, quick suspenseful read. 4 stars.

I rated it 3 of 5 stars.

I liked the book though I didn't love it. It just left me wanting more. It seemed to be missing details.
I liked the fact that Elle and Donovan met again in this book no matter what happened to them in the past, and I guess with the tragedy they were able to work out their differences. I just would have liked for the ending not to be so rushed. I would have loved to have known what happened to Jamas and I would have loved to have read more about Mia and why he was so interested in her. I thought that the Nurse was related to Mia...then it died in the water. That would have been an interesting twist to the story. :)
Jamas repenting for all the bad things he did when Donavan saved his mother??? Another nice twist... :)

This story line had a lot if potential. I would have enjoyed more of the plot development.

I would love to read the other two books in the series. The story of the two best friends. :)

4.5 stars. The best "Harlequin Intrigue" book I've read so far. Two people with a history are trapped together (with a few others) when their plane crashes in the Amazon jungle. Turns out they were engaged thirteen years ago, but she left just before their wedding sending him a short letter saying she was sorry but without many explanations. During their attempt to find help after the plane crash and find a way out from a man determined to kill the woman for testimony she is about to give about child trafficking, they find themselves still in love and now able to more fully discuss why she left so many years ago. This book had a great romance, some mystery, lots of adventure and a little more steam than in the prior Harlequin Intrigue books I've read (although still not a whole heck of a lot). Good book.

This is the final book of the Men From Crow Hollow Series. Brody and Ellie not seen each other for over 13 years, but never expected to meet like this. The small plane they were on crashed.

Working together to save the people on the plane, would this bring them back together and would they be rescued?

After reading the 2nd book of the series, really wanted to read this one. Didn't disappoint me. Would recommend to others.

Elle Vollman is supposed to testify against a human trafficker. The plane she is on crashes in the jungle. Also on the plane is Dr. Brody Donovan to whom Elle had been engaged 13 years ago. Together, they must escape from the jungle and stop the criminal.
