Durjoy, do you sleep better at night knowing that you broke the hearts of your readers? Because what in the cluster duck was that?! I absolutely loved the time-lapse concept. I prefer a fast-forwarded story over an unnecessarily dragged-out 500-page one. But seriously, why? Also, I liked the second book so much more than the first. WBEG had the perfect pace, and the fact that the characters were self-aware of their traits made me so happy. Before I could even think of them as weirdos, they’d already called themselves weird, which made me laugh because it happened more than once. In one scene, when I was thinking, “Why are they being so cringe?” they actually called each other out for being cringe! It’s like they were in sync with my thoughts, which made it so much better. I absolutely hate Raabbani from a reader’s point of view, but I understand her—she's a teenager, and her life was seriously affected. The number of plot twists in this book kept me hooked, and it's not even a thriller. I finished it in a single day, so that says a lot. The way the characters evolved and the unexpected moments made this book stand out from the first one. Despite my frustrations, I couldn't put it down. I definitely would've sobbed so bad if I didn't end up seeing the spoiler (DO NOT CHECK LAST PAGE) while trying to see the total number of pages so... 🤷🏻‍♀️

Durjoy Datta’s World’s Best Ex-Girlfriend delves into the complexities of love, heartbreak, and personal growth through the lives of Aanchal Madan and Daksh Dey.

The story highlights their tumultuous journey as they navigate their past mistakes, rekindle emotions, and confront unresolved issues. The chemistry between the two characters is palpable, but their inability to understand the depth of their bond brings pain and confusion.

Despite the ups and downs, they are drawn to each other, facing life’s challenges together. The novel’s ending, while emotional, leans toward the predictable, but it doesn’t overshadow the enjoyable narrative.

Overall, it’s a gripping romance that explores the intricacies of relationships, making it a worthwhile read for romance lovers.

Growing up watching Bollywood films and TV serials with my mother, I was always eager for the next dramatic episode. That’s exactly how I felt while reading this book—full of desi romance and overflowing with drama!

One moment, the characters are together; the next, they’re not. It definitely frustrated me at times, but isn’t that the essence of drama?
While the story may not be my favorite of Durjoy’s, the writing was incredibly gripping. You know that feeling when you tell yourself, “Just one more chapter”? This book embodies that sensation perfectly.

The tale of Daksh and Aanchal is packed with plot twists, dramatic romance, hopefulness, and complex family dynamics. Sure, some moments felt a bit cringeworthy, and I found myself exclaiming “whyyyy” at certain scenes, but ultimately, it’s all about the journey.

I experienced a whirlwind of emotions alongside Daksh and Aanchal, and I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone looking for a captivating read!

It’s hard to rate this book because its twists and turns left me utterly speechless. The story had such an emotional impact that even now, as I write this, I feel the heaviness lingering in my heart.

At first, I really disliked Aanchal—probably like many of you did—and that dislike extended to Daksh too. His obsession with beauty over kindness frustrated me to no end. It felt like he was validating the idea that superficial beauty always triumphs over genuine goodness, and that bias made me put the book down for five whole days. I wasn’t sure I could finish it. But when I finally picked it up again, I couldn’t put it down.

Even as I read on, my frustration with Aanchal remained—right up until the last chapter. And then everything changed. That final chapter was absolutely heartbreaking. It made me realize something profound: just like in real life, people are capable of change. Aanchal might have been flawed, but she grew, and I found myself reevaluating her character. I can’t say I completely love her now, but I do sympathize with her. And my heart aches for Daksh—how could something so tragic happen to him, even in fiction?

This book evoked such powerful emotions in me—frustration, sorrow, empathy—that only a truly talented writer could achieve. Even as I write this review, I still feel heavy, on the verge of tears. If someone were to ask me about the story, I’m sure I’d start crying. It’s that impactful.

Kudos to the author for creating something so raw and unforgettable. What a journey!

I picked up 'World's Best Ex-Girlfriend' with a temptation to read my teenage author whose books once used to give me butterflies in the stomach or shatter me completely making me feel like I was the part of his. Less than said, Durjoy Datta brought many of us into reading and made us known to all the emotions that love brings with it. Whether through his role as novelist or a screenwriter, Datta has shown the various aspects and sacrifices that love brings. The last time I read Durjoy's was after 10th grade cozying in a blanket while Maa and Baba fought to decide my career stream for junior college. Life after that was never the same. The genre of romance was sidelined, and literary fiction got my attention. When World's Best Ex-Girlfriend was released, I knew I had to get it.

World's Best Ex-Girlfriend is about Daksh and Aanchal, who destinly inseparable beings yet separated by misunderstanding and circumstances. Readers see progressive leaps in both the characters as the time leaps generally after two years. Daksh and Aanchal are twenty something when they meet for the first time, with their  teenage characteristics still intact. Even after meeting and exploring love with quite a few individuals, Daksh and Aanchal tend to come around together by circumstances and make the world seamlessly perfect for them.
As time takes, leap, maturity, and loneliness take a toll on Daksh and Aanchal. Even after being successful and independent in their lives, readers could sense their melting points, the craving for a feeling of home.
I loved the book surprisingly.  I don't know how and when, but suddenly, I found myself supremely invested around page: 134, which is when the dramatic narration started affecting me. Gaurav, Rabbani, and the other supporting characters lift up the entire storyline and enhance the charm of the main characters.

'World's Best Ex-Girlfriend' keeps you on the edge of hope and makes you curse time. It's packed with dynamic ups and downs. It also has  emotional drama that feels stretched and seems like a misfit in Daksh and Aanchal's story. If I minus that,  which I can, this book is a whirlpool of emotions. With this book, Durjoy proved again that he can never go wrong with romance and why, from teens to adults, find solace and relatable aspects in his works.

World’s Best Ex-Girlfriend is a wonderfully penned story that takes forward the story of Daksh and Aanchal and explores how their life unfolds. The book is quite well written and the idea of how two people in love can be drift apart, but can come back with even more love come out perfectly. There are moments in the book which will make you laugh, and then there are moments in the book that will make your eyes wet. The writing is engaging and the interactions between Daksh and Aanchal keep you entertained and engrossed in the book right till the end. The idea that the person you love will find a way to come back to you is reinforced repeatedly through various instances and the jumps in time. As for me, there were aspects of their Daksh’s life that I could really resonate with and that made the story even more alive. Another aspect of the story that did stand out for me was the plot point when Daksh and Aanchal finally realise their feelings for each other and something goes wrong, many times over, but they still decide to try once more, and I think that was the one thing that the book reinforces that when you love someone, you can always find a reason to be together. With everything that happens in the book, you look for a happily-ever-after, but also there is a dread that something will go wrong with either of our protagonists. The climax is quite sudden and can truly shock you.

The detailing of the characters in the book, and not just the protagonists, makes the book such a good read. Be it Amruta, Rabbani, Gaurav or Vanita, each of our characters has been fleshed out and plays an important role in the story and none of them feel out of place in the entire plot. I liked how Rabbani is put forth as a fresh perspective, especially towards the end and becomes the voice of reason for Daksh. Amruta as a part of Daksh’s life is also very well detailed. The entire sub-plot of friends to family was something I truly enjoyed.

Name : World's Best Ex Girlfriend
Author : Durjoy Datta
Genre : Romance, Drama

My 💭:
[24/11/24 8.51PM]

What the...? What was this ending? I was expecting a jolly entertaining romance from this book, but the ending 😰!

First of all, those of you who have read the first book, World's Best Girlfriend, you can start this book from page 84. All the previous chapters are for those who haven't read the first book. But they did help me recap the past events as I breezed through them.

Okay, so this book picks up right after when Aanchal spots Daksh and Amruta confessing their feelings for each other. And then there's a time jump where newly dating Aanchal and now married Daksh unexpectedly cross paths. Honestly this phase was my favourite one in the entirety of their relationship - they were mature, cool and non-toxic adults finally owning up to their faults and moving on. I really liked Saket. But I did get a bit irritated with Vanita for constantly pushing Aanchal towards her ex Daksh on that trip, like WHY??? Other than this, Vanita was a really good friend to Aanchal.

Unexpectedly, then more time jumps come and sadly some serious complications come up. The will-they-won't-they held the most suspense in the story and man do they have horrible luck! But I really like how the author continuously changed the MCs' personalities as they grew older and he perfectly portrayed the pre-30s life crisis and confusion we go through at that age. I cannot say anything more lest I spoil anything, but I will say this - I cannot forgive the author for that unexpected 💀 of my fav character. I am so hurt by it that even the ending twist didn't effect me 😭.

In conclusion, I will say that I am very happy that I didn't date in my teenage years or early 20s as it creates WAYY too much drama in one's life - it's something I enjoy to read, but never ever experience 😂.

“Love is not about finding the perfect person, but learning to see an imperfect person, perfectly.”
~Aanchal Madan.

This is like an epilogue to my review-
(Words fell short as I wrote this review because the gut wrenching end felt like a pang to my heart. It was as if somebody crushed it, broke it into a million pieces, and left behind a hole that can never be filled)

Aanchal was the most selfish person Daksh could have fallen in love with. But for him, she was a goddess;
A girl he was born to love, for whom loving her was no less than a religion.
Daksh’s presence had already shaken her foundations; but the way his love compelled her to change how she perceived things, defined how the idea of LOVE for her matured too.

- How, her feeling of “belongingness” to a rich social circle transformed into the feeling of belonging with a person she could come home to,
- How, to give Daksh the set of happiness he wanted, that selfish girl took the most illogical (her words) and selfless step one could take.

This sequel is a beautifully written story of two people trying to figure out their late twenties and early thirties
who somehow could never escape each other’s paths.
- No matter how hard they tried, the universe always had its own plan of bringing them back together.
(And honestly, nobody else was able to understand
them better than how they understood each other.)

To me, this story was nothing short of pure bliss💕

Reading these two go through ups and downs made me realise how lightly we take the people around us.
It made me realise how aging shapes our priorities, explains us the depth of relationships but mostly how important it is to adapt these changes.

Aanchal and Daksh,
You will forever be my most cherished fictional characters❤️
(A part of me is gone forever with your story, leaving behind a void that can never be filled.)

World's Best Ex-Girlfriend takes you on an emotional rollercoaster through love, heartbreak, and the complexity of relationships. The story picks up with Daksh and Aanchal, who last met at a wedding in Dubai. A brief spark ignites between them, but life goes on, and they part ways. The notion that you don’t have to be with the one you love seems plausible—but the truth is, not being with them leaves an emptiness that nothing else can fill.

The story explores the lingering pain, the heart-shaped hole in their lives, and the longing that won’t go away. When life pushes them together again, they’re forced to confront their unresolved emotions and see what their future could be like together. It’s about setting aside ambitions and facing the reality of their relationship.

What I loved about this book is how Durjoy Datta captures the complexity of love. Aanchal and Daksh's journey is filled with ups and downs, and while the chemistry between them is undeniable, their inability to fully understand and embrace their bond brings its own set of challenges. This story really delves into the intricacies of love and personal growth, showing how difficult and beautiful relationships can be.

The ending is emotional, and while it leans toward the predictable, it doesn’t take away from the heartfelt journey these characters go through. The way Durjoy Datta weaves together love, pain, and growth makes this a captivating read for anyone who enjoys a romance that’s more than just a simple love story.

A beautiful, gripping romance that will make you reflect on relationships long after the last page.

When two people are filled with nothing but love for each other, if their fates are intertwined and they come across each other even if they don't want to, can we call it a "forever", can we call it the love that surpasses tests of time?
Well, that is what we explore the curtain opens and we are introduced to Daksh and Aanchal, who are fervently in love and yet destiny changes everytime they meet.

The book has a cohesive plot where Daksh and Aanchal meet after a long time after their breakup, and yet something feels tugging, like there is a missing part in their hearts that can only be filled by their lovely exes whom they hated, yet loved.

But as we implode into their lives, we come across their heartbreaks, their immaturities, their past mistakes, their carelessness and everything beautiful that happened in between. It is a captivating story of rekindling of love, of second chances, of confrontations and self-exploration, and many things beyond it. The side characters had great character development as well and it made it much more interesting and gripping to see our protagonist navigate their lives through all the things enveloping them.

Although they had an on and off affair throughout the book, making it a bit melodramatic, but the whole writing is super smooth and beautiful. The subtle nuances of their love, their romance, the emotional attributes, makes this book Bollywood-esque, packing a suitcase of drama, romance, emotional ups and down for the readers.

I loved reading it as it has a fast paced narrative and is really engaging, and it indeed is a bittersweet romance.
You would definitely love this!!

Durjoy Datta's World's Best Ex-Girlfriend plumbs the messy, relatable chaos of revisiting old love. The story takes the reader through Daksh and Aanchal-two flawed yet captivating characters-as they navigate unresolved feelings, heartbreak, and the twists of fate that keep pulling them back together. Datta weaves a familiar Bollywood-style romance with emotional highs and lows that feel nostalgic yet fresh.
.
Sometimes, the melodrama can get a little too much, with the on-again, off-again affair between Daksh and Aanchal crossing the border into frustration territory. That's the magic-it does bring in the unplanned feel of love, especially when that person has seen both the best and worst in you. Career-driven Aanchal serves as a great contrast to Daksh's endearingly wonderful qualities, and they do have some real scintillating moments of tension, growth, and humor.
.
The story is fast-paced, so it is easy to zip through to the end while still getting affecting tear-jerking moments. Although the conclusion may be somewhat predictable, the amount of intrigue leaves readers fully engaged with a rough balance of drama and genuine emotion.
.
This is just the perfect book for the fans of drama-romantic stuff who love bittersweet moments, as it makes them realize that love is not always straightforward. This is a highly recommended read for those who would want to go for an emotional but entertaining experience through the ups and downs of rekindled relationships as the storytelling and the way Datta handles the plot make this book.

World's Best Ex Girlfriend by @durjoydatta feels like a refreshing read after reading literary based novels. The book continues the story of Aanchal and Daksh that we left behind in the past released book World's Worst Girlfriend.

The last time Daksh met Aanchal, it was at a wedding in Dubai. A brief spark and then both of them move on. It’s not necessary to be together even if you love each other to the moon and back, right? Wrong.

Not being with the one you love means that there is always this heart-shaped hole in your lives, a pain that you can’t understand, a longing that refuses to go away.

What happens when the Band-Aid on this relationship is ripped off, and they are pushed together to finally see what life for them would be like? What happens when they put aside their ambitions and emotions to finally look at filling the hole?

World’s Best Ex-Girlfriend is a romance that will take the reader through the wringer of love.

The characters didn't get as much development as I was expecting. They remained same as they were in the past, the same flamboyant, same restlessness for each other's yet they are able to find out the missing link of their relationships which is a commendable twist.

If you want to read about modern people's life, characteristics with clean, clear up-to-date dialogues and natural world building with simple narratives then read this. A very different read after literary fiction, a light and enjoyable read for new readers.

World's Best Ex-Girlfriend delves into the intertwined themes of love, loss, and second chances. The story kicks off when Daksh and Aanchal, former lovers, cross paths at a friend’s wedding after years of separation. Though they’ve both tried to move on, they carry an emotional weight that neither fully understands. Their shared moments hint at unresolved feelings and missed opportunities, leaving them with a lingering sense of loss.

Throughout the novel, life conspires to bring them together repeatedly, giving them opportunities to confront their complicated history. The story is structured into four distinct parts, each uncovering deeper layers of their connection. The book explores forgiveness and rediscovery as Daksh and Aanchal face their unresolved emotions. It shows that love can last, even after years apart, and how relationships grow over time.

This story will take you on an emotional rollercoaster, making you cry, smile, and feel hurt. I was initially frustrated with Aanchal’s actions, but as her character developed, my perspective changed. The second part of the book beautifully captures the essence of true love and how, without that special someone, there’s always an unfillable void. The ending left me in tears, and I wished it had turned out differently.

If you're a fan of romance, especially Durjoy Datta’s previous works, this is a book you shouldn’t miss!

🩷😭 The World's Best Ex-Girlfriend by Durjoy Datta:

🩷😭 Book Review:

THIS BOOK IS SO BEAUTIFUL! It definitely broke my heart but at least it attempted to put it back together as well. 💖 This is my most favorite Durjoy Datta book so far. It just felt as if his writing has evolved and is just more fresh.🍃 The book has a great pacing and you just don't wish to put it down. All in all, the book was just fantastic and it will definitely play with your emotions and tear you apart. 💔
I most certainly recommend this book. A LOT!

What stood out to me in this book was the simplicity of the language and the impressive narration.
Despite the story spanning a significant timeline, the tone remained consistent and engaging throughout.
The characters felt real, and I appreciated how their development unfolded, with their growth depicted seamlessly especially Anchal and Rubbani.

While love was an obvious element in the story, I found myself more drawn to themes like friendship, self-discovery, parenting, and, most importantly, acceptance. These layers added depth and made the story richer and more relatable.

Addressing topics like addiction and suicide is challenging for any author, yet Datta handled them with great sensitivity and skill, integrating them into the narrative in a way that felt authentic and impactful.

Datta’s attention to detail, combined with his nuanced portrayal of relationships, ensures that readers remain hooked from start to finish.
All worked well for a climax that is both surprising and thought-provoking.
The author’s ability to balance light moments with intense, emotional ones is commendable, giving the story a realistic edge.
So this was a good amalgamation of storytelling prowess, blending heartache, hope, and redemption.

The character development of Daksh and Anchal was beautiful. How Daksh moulded into a grown gentleman who is dashing, mature, understanding, a witty decision maker, a responsible father figure to Gurbani & loving with Anchal.

When life pushes them together again, they’re forced to confront their unresolved emotions and see what their future could be like together. It’s about setting aside ambitions and facing the reality of their relationship. Aanchal and Daksh's journey is filled with ups and downs, and while the chemistry between them is undeniable, their inability to fully understand and embrace their bond brings its own set of challenges. This story really delves into the intricacies of love and personal growth, showing how difficult and beautiful relationships can be.

The way Durjoy Datta weaves together love, pain, and growth makes this a captivating read for anyone who enjoys a romance that’s more than just a simple love story.

This book is absolutely worst book ever!!!

I am in love with the author, his previous work has been so good that his books were the one which develop my interest in reading. Last 3 books of him has been a total disaster I haven't enjoyed any of them. Looking back his previous work I thought that there is a chance of him improving his work but it keeps getting worst and worst. I was so irritated while reading the book it felt like I am watching a Indian daily soap. It feels like as the author is getting aged he is loosing his charm in romance and because of that he is writing so dull books. Maybe he can try different genre because he is failing in this genre now. Every now and then the main lead meets and they drift apart though it is fictional book but meeting so many times again and again and calling it a fate is too much to take even for a fictional book. This book has more time lapse then the daily soaps I am not able to connect with the characters, even so at the end the female lead dies. It felt like a waste of my time. It not only failed to reach my expectation but also it was far below than that.

🦋 Daksh has gone through a lot in life. Losing his mother at 19, Helping his ailing father and becoming a parent to a 4 year old sister.

🦋 Anchal has been through a toxic relationship at the age of 17, now she wants nothing more than succeed in her career?

🦋 But fate has other plans , It brings Daksh and Anchal together only to give them a heartbreak they can never overcome.

🦋 Life keeps throwing them into each other's paths under different circumstances.

But will Daksh and Anchal let go of tge past and give their relationship another chance ? Will fate play its game again and tear them apart?

A story full of raw emotions. It will rise hope and then break your heart at every juncture. Durjoy sir has beautifully shown the power of love. Anchal' character from a career oriented women to wanting a family of her own is shown well. Daksh's commitment as a friend, lover and big brother was written thoughtfully. Kids raising kids concept was unique. There were many heartbreaking moments. Overall a good read.

When I heard readers say, “Durjoy never fails,” I was super excited to dive into this one. It had everything—love, heartbreak, grief, and moving on.

At first, Anchal really pissed me off with how she was acting. But I started loving her with each passing chapter. Daksh, as always, was the charming, handsome, witty fictional man we all dream of. Their banter was everything, and let’s not even get started on how deeply Anchal loved Daksh. The intensity of their love was unreal.

Reading this book felt like binge-watching a series—each chapter left you hanging and made it impossible to stop. And then... the ending. Oh man, I sobbed like a baby even though I saw it coming from like 15 pages out. I kept telling myself, “No way, this can’t actually be happening,” but Durjoy did it. He did it to us!

Overall, I loved the book 🌻

If you're ready for an emotional rollercoaster, I highly recommend this one—because “Durjoy never fails.” ❤️

When I first read World’s Best Girlfriend, the characters Daksh and Aanchal left a lasting impression on me, and I was eager to see how their story would unfold. Recently, my friends and I were discussing the sequel, World’s Best Ex-Girlfriend, and they shared the ending with me. I was thoroughly disappointed because it had a sad conclusion.

Typically, we expect books to have a happy ending, and I thought this one would be no different. I imagined that Daksh and Aanchal would reunite and live happily ever after as a family, but things took a much darker turn. The first 100 pages were smooth and engaging, but as the story progressed, it felt unnecessarily complicated and drawn out. The final 50 pages, however, were emotionally charged.

Although I didn’t particularly like Aanchal’s character at the beginning, her development in this book made me warm to her, just as Rabbani began to appreciate her by the end. Throughout, I couldn’t focus on any other books because I was so invested in this one. I had to know how it ended for Daksh and Aanchal. The conclusion, though bittersweet, made sense for Daksh’s character. His line, “Baba is the best, Baba is amazing,” felt deeply personal, especially since Durjoy has used that same phrase with his own children over the years. It was heartwarming to hear it, as it connected the story to Durjoy’s own life and memories with his kids.

Through this book Aanchal Madan and Daksh Dey take us to the perfect journey of love, heartbreak, and personal growth in the perfect way of second chance romance.

This book is filled with so many moments where you just wanted to see why is this happening between characters because you got frustrated with the things that were happening, but you were also interested in how they got back together as this book is perfect for Bollywood lovers and people who sit with their moms to watch Hindi TV shows because of all the feelings and the drama that happened along with so many things that were left unsaid.

What’s beautiful is how they go through this journey of getting back to each other with the complexities of relationship and unresolved issues.

This is a book that concludes the entire story and even makes the first book better. I like the first book better now because of the second book❤️ As I said, the story continues from the first book and where I thought it will be a typical love story, it is not! Yes well, I knew they would somehow end up together(spoiler) but all what they went through to that point and what happened after they got together is what makes this book special. One thing that I loved is that the entire book has a lot of time jumps, so the events in this book happen over the course of 11 long years. Which gives us the opportunity to actually relate with the characters and see their development with age. It’s a lovely book and should definitely be given a read! 🥂

Review- This story will play with your emotions in such a way that you’ll feel numb for a few minutes. Durjoy's portrayal of characters is so real and pure that you can't help but believe they truly exist.

As for The World's Best Ex-Girlfriend, if you've read the first part, you already know how gripping it was. In my opinion, you can’t fully judge this book without knowing the first part. Both the MMC and FMC have their own pasts, insecurities, and unique stories.

It’s an overarching tale that will make you blush, cry, smile, and, most importantly, question yourself.

World’s Best Ex-Girlfriend by Durjoy Datta is an emotional and gripping sequel to World’s Best Girlfriend. The story is filled with unexpected twists, heartfelt reunions, and moments that stay with you.

The quote “Once you are made for each other, nobody can separate you” fits this book perfectly. The characters feel destined, no matter how life pulls them apart. The ending wasn’t what I expected, but that made it even more beautiful and memorable.

A heartfelt read — highly recommend if you love stories about fate, love, and second chances.

The story of Daksh and Anchal is such a beautiful one with so many plot twists you’ll just keep turning pages one after another. it’s a little dragged on, could’ve been the same length as the first one. Introduction of the side plots keeps the story going. at first I hated the time stamps and not knowing what happened in between but then I came to love it. Highly recommend you to read it if you like a little slow paced novel with a bunch of twists!

This is book is so dissatisfactory. Like what's the point of this? Why did the author give me so much hope at the start and why did he crumble in down JUST WHY ?
I'm disappointed in myself for buying this book. I'm dissapointed in my father for earning money to buy this book.
The writing style was very good though

Liked the 1st book and pre-ordered the 2nd but wasn't that good tho. It was pure desi drama and the start at least was better and it kept testing. I was kind of frustrated with the part just they kept saying cliche to 3-4 pages straight and at one point I even got started disliking Daksh. Knew very well the what'll be the ending. The last few pages were just hate reading not that interesting, like it kept insisting it was a huge cliche.

The story was way more gripping than the first book to me.

After the rollercoaster equivalent relationship and circumstances Daksh and Aanchal had half of their lives as individuals and as couples, they at last deserved to have a happily ever after with each-other and their little human, as per me . Felt heartbroken for both of them as I reached towards the end of the book as all they ever wanted was to be with eachother for the rest of eachother but life challenges in both of their lives kept them away and when they were finally together it wasn't in a way they both wished for 😭

I was going to rate this book a 2 stars until the last chapter. The book felt very disconnected throughout for some reason. I couldn't feel the emotional connect at any point until the last chapter.

The last chapter was the most emotional part of the book which made me give it that extra star.
