★Review★

This is the sixth in the series and there are some overlapping timelines with book 4 and 5. Indeed they all start and all 3 couples meet and start a "relationship" on the same weekend.

As such, in all 3, there were a couple of occasions where the same scene was told in each book, just from a different POV. I found myself skim reading a lot of these scenes in all honesty, and given the short length of the books in this series, I feel it would have been better to try and avoid this to a certain extent.

In saying that, as a whole, I do enjoy the series.

And I enjoyed this one. In all honesty, I could have done without the psychic aspect - it just did not fit in with the rest of the series and again, I found myself skimming a lot of that.

I liked both Parker and Kaitlin, but a few things bugged me.

1 - Parker's job. Given his history I found it hard to believe he would become a cut throat divorce lawyer helping men screw over the ex wives, which is pretty much how his career is portrayed.

2 - Richie! At the start Parker saves Kaitlin from Richie, acknowledging the "gut churning horror" of what could have happened - ie, suggesting he was fully aware that Richie was about to Rape Kaitlin, yet, other than telling him to stop and not do it again, nothing is really done. Richie is still within the friendship circle, and is invited back to the island again. (indeed in book 5, timeline wise, after this incident, when it is a few weeks later, Richie is invited back to the island, where it is strongly hinted at he used date rape drugs)! I do not understand the point of Richie as a character, and why his "friends" have not got rid of him, they seem aware of the vileness of his character. I can only assume he is being kept to provide even more drama in a future book.

3 - The men of the "dawgs" - yes, I could see them being protective of the girls, yet they seem to take it too far, and it actually becomes overbearing as if they cannot trust the "little women" to be able to make mature adult decisions about who they want to be with. Throughout the books, that is getting old.

However, despite it all, I do enjoy the books and am intrigued in the rest of the gang and would want to read their stories.

"Parker's Passion" by Sabrina York is part of the sensual ‘Tryst Island’ erotic contemporary romance series that centers around a group of close-knit friends and their weekend getaway house on Trystacumseh Island.  This story showcases Kaitlin Stringer who has mostly overcome the traumatic college experience in her past but who has continued to shun physical touch from everyone outside of her inner circle of friends, partly as a way to cope with her remarkable gift.  Parker Rieth is a successful divorce lawyer who has his own scars to deal with, both physically and emotionally, and doesn’t expect Kaitlin to turn his world upside down.  It is up to both of them to discover whether they can find healing with each other or are there too many obstacles from both past and present in the way?

This stirring novella combines both the sensual heat that readers have come to expect from this enjoyable series and the emotional depth that this author does such a great job of conveying.  Particularly enjoyable for me was the alternate view of events that have been depicted in other stories in this series, seen through the prism of the Kaitlin’s and Parker’s eyes.  The hope that is evoked as each of these main characters works beyond the life-changing events which have shaped them gives inspiration to anyone who has dealt with trauma in life.  There are quite a few very serious issues dealt with in this story which on the surface is a celebration of lust and life between apparently carefree people but each of them has multiple layers that both tie them to each other yet isolate them.  There is a bit of suspense mixed with the minefield that the two main characters are traversing and the challenge of dealing with the opinions of others around them is familiar to anyone who has friends and family meddling in their life.  A great addition to the series with delightful glimpses of other characters who hopefully will have their time in the spotlight as well.

A copy of this enjoyable title was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.

The Tryst Island series by Sabrina York revolves around a group of college friends that share a getaway home. Two of the friends own the big beautiful house on the Island; the others all share the utilities and living expenses. The house is used as a getaway whenever an individual or the group, as a whole, wants to escape life and it's demands or just have a great fun filled weekend.

Parker's Passion is the 6th book in this awesome series and is definitely up there as one of my favorites. This story serves up all of the heat that I've come to associate with anything Sabrina writes, as well as, witty dialogue and a heartbreaking past to overcome. It's unique in that Parker and Kaitlin's story is pretty much happening the same time that Devlin and Tara's story is. It's fun to get the whole story!

Parker Rieth carries scars - scars on his body and scars on his soul. Being victim to a horrible crime at an age that no one should ever see the ugly side of life Parker pretty much shut off all emotion. He had a select group of college friends that he confided in and gave his loyalty to, but other than that his life was filled with shallow relationships and a shallow life. To say his life was less than fulfilling is putting it mildly, but to trust anyone with his scars is something that he isn't willing to do, again.

Kaitlin Stringer is special in more ways than one. She's a good person and people are drawn to her, but she keeps a safe distance as much as possible. She was born with a gift, or curse depending on how you look at it, that enables to her feel what others feel. Because of this her social life is pretty much non-existent. She has her close group of college friends that she loves and is thankful for. They accept her and her gift without reservation. This doesn't mean that Kaitlin doesn't wish that she could have a "normal" relationship apart from the group she spends most weekends with at Tryst Island.

When Parker and Kaitlin are thrown in each other's path sparks fly. I loved this couple! It was heartbreaking, at times, to witness the pain that Parker felt and to experience the obstacles and hurt that Kaitlin has known. I can't imagine that anyone could have been better suited to one another. After all, it seems that fate had been fighting for years to bring this couple together.

I just had the pleasure of reading Parker's Passion and the very first thing that came to mind was WOW! Sabrina York has done it AGAIN! She has once again written an awesomely hot steamy addition to this series. I have LOVED each book I have read in the Tryst Island and I most certainly look forward to reading the next story Ms. York comes up with to add to this great steamy series.

Parker Rieth has always been very self conscious of his scares. Both his emotional scars as well as his physical scars. He has a very successful job as a divorce attorney and he's quite busy. He really doesn't have time for love in his life and really hasn't even thought about it for a while. He starts to think about what he might be missing when he meets the beautiful and sweet Kaitlin Stringer. Kaitlin is just the woman for Parker. She not afraid of his scars and she just might be the woman to help him heal.

WOW, I said it yet again but this really is a fabulous book. Not only is there some really steamy hot scenes but there is a such a wonderful story line for Parker and Kaitlin. There were some really touching moments and some major changes occur in Parker's life. Of course there is no way I am going to tell you what that might be. I couldn't possibly spoil this great story for you. I'm going to recommend you grab your own copy and read it SOON!

Sabrina York has a great talent for writing great stories that are not only fun, steamy, and extremely hot, but also very touching. She has a talent for bringing together just the characteristics for each character to make them just the absolute perfect match.

Each book in this series I think is my favorite, until I read the next one. If you are a fan of Sabrina York's work then you really must pick this one up. If you have not had the chance to read any of her work yet start here! I think you will Parker's Passion. I know I sure did!!! This is part of a series but if you haven't read the whole series yet, don't worry, you will not have any problem reading this one as a stand alone.

I was given the opportunity to read this book so that I may share my opinion with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you about Parker's Passion.

This is an amazing series and I have enjoyed every bit of this journey with them! Warm, glowing romantic read! Loved this story. Yes, one can overcome their past and see 'light' at the end and happiness, especially with the help of never ending friendships. If you love a story that delves in 'fate' and circumstance, this is for you! It kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. Had never read anything related to 'scientific' genre so to speak..this story was riveting! Sabrina gives you enough at the beginning of the story to keep you wandering what in the world is she talking about, auras? Parker having had a dark, dreadful, deep past and almost an anger inside of him leads you to believe that he's unloveable and not attainable through love or believes him self he can't be seen as 'whole' or love able by a woman. Kaitlin, as a whirlwind comes through with light and wistfulness as much like fairy or as a something else in this case(no spoiler). The two souls are inclined to be one if they can both move past their fears, pain and past and get to the inner peace. Loved the road the two took to become one and so look forward to hearing more about the 'gang'.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

Scars. We all have them. Some are visible to the eye, while others lay hidden.

Parker is a man haunted by a long ago crime of passion and Kaitlin is stuggling to overcome her own demons. Then there is the fact that Kaitlin is psychic, which adds another barrier between her and the world.

Slow and sweet, hot and passionate, this love story has it all.

This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I have not read the other books in the series and didn't feel lost at all.

Parker Reith once let his wall down, only to regret it. On vacation he meets Kaitlin Stringer, he wants her but fears rejection because of the scars he carries. Kaitlin though is different, she is a psychic who sees things and can read Parker's emotions. The more Parker gets to know Kaitlin, the more he lets himself hope they will be able to build something. They both carry pain that if the allow themselves each other can heal.

Unique story. I liked Parker and Kaitlin as a couple, they both had are strong but so vulnerable. Quickly grasps your attention and does not let up until the very end. Going back to read more in this delightful series.

A scarred inside & out hero, an aura reading healing heroine & the sexy & sultry Tryst Island, what do you think happens? NAUGHTINESS, of course!

Kaitlin Stringer was almost raped at college, but a man saved her with only 3 words, "Leave her alone!" Now she is all about healing others, as she uses her aura reading magic on the hurt, broken & abused woman & children who come to the Boudicca, a women's shelter. Kaitlin still has not healed herself & when men touch her she feels only searing pain. Some folks are freaked out by her aura reading, but she has a tight circle of friends who love & totally accepted her & they rented a house of Tryst Island for fun & recharging weekends.

Parker Rieth is all about his job, as 1 of the top divorce lawyers in his firm & is so close to that corner office. He has a talent in finding his opponents' fatal flaw & destroys them with it. Parker is also lonely, starved for human touch & acceptance, but the only woman who has see his scarred upper body, ran screaming, so he works 24/7 & occasional goes to Tryst Island with his friends.

It all started on the ferry to Tryst Island, as Kaitlin sees her college savior & his aura is like a spotlight to her heart. Parker sees this gorgeous, red haired & curvy elvin goddess on the ferry & he is addicted to her laugh, smile & craves her touch. Later that night at the Island's only night spot, Kaitlin goes looking for her friend, who is out for revenge, & is attacked out back by a drunken a$$, but Parker says those words, saves her again & his touch is pleasure on steroids to her. Parker walks her home, learns she is right next door to him & his lonely heart is felt by Kaitlin. Soon with the help of a kite, tree, eagle & Swiss army knife, she soothe him with medical TLC & gives him 1 of the happiest endings of his life.

Back in the city, they plan a date, he has a family medical emergency, they reconnect, many dates with only kisses to her forehead, until after a friend's fishing trip & she FINALLY gets several happy endings of her own! They become inseparable, as does they bodies, but Parker still refuses to take off his shirt, but she is willing to wait for his comfort. Back on Tryst Island, being grilled by her pseudo family, the "L" word is spoken, he ripped his own shirts off, learns of the word psychic & auras, but soon they world collide into an anger, battered & abused mess! Can Parker allow Kaitlin to heal his scarred soul? Will Kaitlin's aura reading be embraced or will he walk? How can a healing Kaitlin & a divorcee lawyer Parker mesh their world together? Or can they?

Ms. York made me free like a virgin with all my 1st in this steamy book. I can finally say, "I read my 1st Sabrina York book & now I understand what all the PRAISE is about!" My 1st aura reading heroine that I actually didn't think was kinda freaking & I want her to be my BFF! Kaitlin was like a live giving life force & totally brought light inside my COSMO that I didn't know I needed. My 1st LIKEABLE divorce lawyer was all Parker. With his past, I was totally shocked he chose his profession, but, in my opinion, is was about control for him. I have a soft spot for scarred folks because they aren't only scarred on the outside, but ordinary people don't mean to, but their gasps & shocked looks leaves ripped, bloody welts in their wakes, when they react to the scars. With the series called Tryst Island, I thought this was ménage tale, but Ms. York gutted me with her story of a group of friends who are a family of their hearts & those are the most beautiful & giving ones. I always see Sabrina York with her SPARKLY TIARA (that I totally what to steal) & the title of His Royal Hotness & she did have me whip out my FIRE EXTINGUISHERS for this mayhem of LOVING TOUCHES & many SCREAMING & MOANING happy ending! So Ms. York has WOWED my book COSMO now & I am hook to her heart warming, undies ripping, true acceptance & tsunami of emotions romances! Ms. York read gets my score of 4 fingers up & 8 toes & I am so wanting her to pop more of my 1st cherries!

NetGalley ARC given for my honest review.

There is no way for me not to love this story. The glimpses of Parker and Kait that we had in earlier stories, combined with the expectation of a happy ending after lots of hot and steamy moments and their realization that they are made for one another just combine like cocoa and marshmallows: a perfect escape.

Parker is a child who survived horrible abuse, and was fortunate enough to find someone to love him, and show him that the world isn’t all horrible. Kaitlin, on the other hand, is a healer: she can read auras and use her own skills to heal, calm, support and reassure others.

Drawn to one another, like moths to a flame, these two are the perfect combination of the phrase, together we are better than either one of us alone. Parker comes to learn that he is not the monster he feared, and with Kaitlin by his side he is near invincible. Steamy and sexy, the connection between Kaitlin and Parker is sure to energize your imagination as it will require a cool drink and a few moments of recovery time before moving on to the next.

You can’t help but enjoy these characters; they could be friends and neighbors, and you will want to have friendships like these: supportive and protective, accepting and fun, the constant ebb and flow of characters that were the focus earlier in the series gives readers a ‘check in moment’, as well as sets a tone that is constant.

The only blot in this story is the overly slimy, smarmy and offensive Richie: ascot wearing, often drunk, always misogynistic Richie. It was wonderful to see Kaitlin allow her powers to work for the good of all woman-kind and pop his little overinflated ego balloon, and watch him retreat to the sniveling insecure boy that he is. It was so unexpected and so contrary to her nature and her own personal decisions about her gift that the appearance of her standing up for herself, and by extension every other female in the vicinity was refreshing and helped to firm her own characterization in a way that was wholly welcomed.

Tryst Island is a series that can be read individually, but why would you want to? Each story adds layers to characters met before as well as providing the spotlight emphasis for the characters who serve as the main delight in their own book. Come and meet the gang from Tryst: you will not regret it.

I purchased a copy of the title for my own library with no expectation of positive review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

I love this series and this is another great addition to it! This series follows a group of close friends who share a vacation home. Each book stands alone but they are connected. The previous books I have read have ranged from light to emotional to melt your kindle HOT (don’t misunderstand they're all hot but Smoking Holt is a level all it's own). This one is another very emotional read.

Parker and Kaitlin both have their share of scars. Kaitlin was traumatized by a near rape at a party in college and between that and her psychic gifts she is uncomfortable being touched and sometimes struggles being around people. Parker's scars are physical as well as emotional. He was burned as a child and the resulting scars have caused him relationship problems in the past. Both of these people figure they will spend their lives alone but when they meet they find themselves drawn to each other in an undeniable way. I loved both these characters! Parker was just so hot! He's strong and vulnerable and so many other amazing things. Kaitlin is so fun! In spite of her issues and insecurities she's really funny and being in her head when she was with her friends was too fun.

This is a great emotional read. It has plenty of hot scenes, great chemistry between the characters (not just the main characters) and gives you little glimpses into the other books too. If you've read the earlier books you won't be disappointed, if you start with this one I dare you to not want to go back and read the rest. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

First I have to admit that I simply adore Sabrina York's writing and have loved all the books in the Tryst Island series so far. So I was excited to get a chance to review the 6th in the series. This one follows Kaitlin "the Psychic" but there is so much more to it then that. She is so in tuned with the feeling of others that she can read them. And then there is Parker who is scarred in so many ways he has cut out the world. A healer and one who needs healing could there be a more perfect team.

This like the other books I have read by Sabrina York is wonderfully written and the words just seem to flow off the page. This is not an easy book to read. When scars so very deep the pain is deeper. Sabrina makes the reader feel their pain, some part I found it hard to breath for Parker. If you are looking for a book that is an emotional ride, I highly suggest picking this one up. But I do suggest reading the others in the series first there are a great many characters inter woven into this book and for a reader reading this one first I think they might get a bit lost.

To be honest its no chore to read more of her work, I consider it a treat. I think I will have to let this one sink in for a day or two to decide it it's my favorite or 2nd favorite after Rebound.

Parker saved Kaitlin from certain rape a long time ago. He doesn't remember but she does. Then, he saves her again from the same thing. After that they become friends and start dating but Parker has scars. Literally! The entire upper half of his body except for his hands and from the neck up. Will he ever trust fully enough to let Kaitlin in?

Parker's abusive past is so heartbreaking! It makes you want to crawl into the book and hold him, hold him until he's ok again. Kaitlin is so good for him. Her friend's acceptance of him is good for him. I thought this book was going to be an erotic romance but the story overrode that. It was more about Parker and about Kaitlin's ability to help him heal emotionally. I look forward to reading the other books in the Tryst Island Series.

I really loved Parker’s Passion. It was steamy and the characters evoked real emotions. I really enjoyed Parker as a character because I really connected with him and his scars. It touched me deeply as well as entertained me.

Kaitlin is perfect for him, and I like that because he deserves the perfect woman for him. I loved that this story had it all, suspense, growth of characters and enough steam to melt my ereader. I can’t recommend Ms. York’s style of writing more. She has a singular talent for creating characters that stick with you, characters who could be your best friends.

If you haven’t read her or this series, I think this is a great addition to start with because it showcases the talent that is Sabrina York.

Not a lot of notes or highlights for this one, I just didn't really like it as much as the other ones. I mean Parker I did love him, "Parker froze. He stared at Kaitlin, this beautiful, incredibly alluring woman as she unfastened his jeans. Unfastened in his jeans. Lust blazed through him. His pulse pounded painfully. His co** went on point." I did like the interactions Parker and Kaitlin had:
She smacked him with her bra. "Dinner? At Darby's? Everyone will be waiting."
He flinched. "I completely forgot."
"Understandable," she said, tugging on her bra, her shirt and her jeans. "You were a little distracted, after all."
I don't know what the book was missing but it was missing something.

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."

The underlying story is a sweet romance, but the book deals with some serious issues in an effective and compelling way. I liked the interactions between the characters and way the main themes were revealed.

Although this is book six in a series, it can definitely be read as a standalone. I enjoyed it so much, I will be going and reading the rest.

I read Rebound in this series and totally enjoyed that one and knew I would enjoy this one as well. I like the authors writing style in her books, the books keep you turning the pages wanting more. I liked Parker he has a lot of hang ups, he's sometimes cold and distant and wants to stay that way but when Kaitlin comes in the picture watch out - Parker doesn't know what hit him. I liked Kaitlin too, she's very good for Parker, they are awesome together. This book has a lot of emotion, twists and passion. I enjoyed it very much. Would love to read the others in this series and more by this author.

I love the books in this series. This group of friends are all so wonderful. They make you laugh and sometimes cry, but their journey has been fun to watch.

Kaitlin and Parker's story is so sweet. Both have had traumatic past experiences that left a part of them broken. Together they were able to save each other and gave us a very nice happy ending. I'm looking forward to more from the other characters in this series.

I love all of the books in the Tryst Island series but I would give this book 10 stars if I could. It seriously had it all -- love, passion, romance, drama, and intrigue. York kicks things up several notches in this latest release. The story has moments of sweet intensity that will leave you biting your nails and feeling breathless. Absolutely BRILLIANT!

Heroine is too sweet and is very supportive of H but there is something missing in the story. It jus didn’t feel like an emotional or a romantic or an angsty or a comic story. It’s just plain like a bland food without any taste.

Yes! YESSS!!! Now THAT was what I've been waiting for since the first book of the series!

Kaitlin Stringer is the psychic of the group of friends that spend their days off at Tryst Island. She's not a woman who can tolerate getting physically close to men, not after that incident at a frat party years ago. Back then, she was rescued by a male that she came to call her hero. And now, years after that, her hero is back - and staying right next to her friends' cabin! Parker Rieth knows passion can lead to catastrophes - it hurts people, controls people, brings people down in general. He's vowed to never give in to his own passion for those reasons, but a certain red-headed angel he meets might be a real problem for his ability to hold back. Can they get over their past experiences and heal each other? Or will they remain two broken people, forever doomed to be alone?

I may not have read all of the Tryst Island books, I'll admit that much. But, considering the two I have read, this one was by far the best! It was a true wonder, with a wonderful love story between two people that are too scarred and scared to let someone in - to let anyone come close enough to see what they consider to be a mark that shows the world their past weaknesses. And while to some this may sound problematic and bothersome, I found it to be a delight to read about.

I will not rant about Kaitlin being an awesome heroine sent from Heaven, just so you know, but she was. Never whining, never bitching, never doubting Parker - ok, that one time didn't count. You may think this makes her weak and too much of a victim, but I beg to differ. No, Kaitlin was pretty strong in character, and had a backbone and a cruel side to be feared. But she was reasonable and always tried to judge others fairly - plus, if you have the gift to "read" people, it would be stupid of you not to use it, right? She completely understood Parker, didn't push him, didn't try to change him. And while any other woman in her place would have flipped and called the man all kind of names under the sun because of his line of work, she trusted in him enough to see that some things were out of his control, and he didn't want others to get hurt from his actions.

Parker has to be my favorite of all the guys so far. Not bossy. Nothing like the "I'M DA MAN, HEAR ME ROAR" crap most of the times we're forced to read about when it comes to main heroes - yes, I understand we like Alphas, but sometimes it just gets to be too much. Parker was... well, Parker. Scarred - in more ways than one - and frightened to reach to another person. A man strong and attractive and successful, that was freaked out of his mind any time someone tried to make him take his shirt off. He was like a big child, in need of love, and yet too shy to ask, for fear of looking like a burden. It was pure awesomeness watching him open up, little by little, with Kaitlin, I swear it was tugging at my heart strings all the time! The fact he was strong enough to defend those around him only made the package even more droolworthy, probably because, despite his strength, he chose to be gentle to everyone.

What bothered me a bit was Drew - no, not the way he was written as a character. His... type gets on my nerves. The fact he just couldn't get it through his thick head that Parker was IT for Kaitlin was just too annoying for my taste - damn, and I really liked Drew the most out of that group... Another unforgettable book from the Tryst Island series!

The Tryst Island series has become one of my favorite series of 2014. I love each, and every book of Tryst Island. This book series is so well created that you end up being friends with the characters and wishing you have a house right next to theirs. In my opinion, there is no better foundation for a successful series than an amazing group of characters at the most amazing setting.

At Parker's Passion Ms. York brings once again the same time setting from the previous two books, which is an outstanding way of giving the readers different points of view of the same scene. One weekend that changes so many lives.

Ms York's work is so astounding, that she keeps surprising me with her big arsenal of writing tools to catch a reader's imagination. Her work is so well-rounded that is hard to find anything to dislike. If I had to choose one thing to dislike in this book, it would be the end, because now I don't have anymore Tryst Island's book to read.

Please, keep them coming Ms York! There are so many great characters still on that island, I'm looking forward to reading their story.

I have taken a half star from this book only because of a personal preference. Devlin and Tara's story touched me in so many different levels that I believe they deserve their outstanding position.

If you haven't started this series yet, what are you waiting for? RUSH!

"But one glance at that woman and he could see it. How a guy could go crazy. Sink himself into lust and forget everything else. Everything that mattered. Like a condom. Or a pre-nup."

Katlin is a women with psychic powers that only her closest friends know about because everybody that she comes into contact with has either picked on her or been not understanding of her gift and made her feel uncomfortable. We also meet Parker on this book he is a single sucessfull divorce lawyer that is doing very well for himself . Both Katlin and Parker have went to Tryst Island with there friends for a little getaway and relaxation.

Parker and Katlin meet eyes on the fairy ride over. And again meet each other at the bar when both of there set of friends decide to go out and have some fun. Everyone in the group of friends start hooking up except Katlin so she decides to go outside behind the bar. Parker is just sitting off to the side in the bar being an observer. Outside a guy approaches her and starts to assault here until Parker shows up and scares him away. When Parker touches Katlins arm he feels an instant connection unlike and previous connection he has had before and he offers to walk her home to make her feel safe. She finally agrees. As Parker and Katlin continue to spend time together they each begin to bring down big walls they have built to protect them selves that help to bring them closer. Parker is just scared that Katlin will run away when she see who he really is.

You will have to read this book to find out more . This book had amazing build up of the characters and great storytelling. I really felt like i understood where this was taking place . I definetly felt like i could relate to the character emotions based on the storytelling. At times the stories felt raw but it just kept me reading and wanting for more.

I highly recommend this author and this series to other readers. I think there is amazing potential in this series.

I received this book as an ARC from NETGALLEY.

Parker Rieth is a cut-throat divorce attorney with enough emotional and psychological baggage to spend an entire year in Europe. Kaitlin Stringer works at a battered woman's shelter. Oh, and she's psychic, and slightly empathic. She can't predict futures, only whether people will be happy or not in their future lives, and she can also read their aura's enough to know if her friends and strangers have turmoil in their past or present. Parker and Kaitlin have met before, but only Kaitlyn remembers. When they meet again on the ferry to Tryst Island for a weekend getaway with their respective friends, sparks fly. But for Kaitlyn, touch for her is painful. Her friends know enough not to touch her, but a stranger's touch can send Kaitlin into full on panic mode. With the exception of Parker. His touch calms her, and for Kaitlin, that's all she needs to know that she has met the man who will be her future.

Once I got past Kaitlyn's aura readings and empathic feelings, I actually enjoyed this story. Parker and Kaitlin both have secrets that have kept them from getting close to anyone before, and for Kaitlin, getting physical with anyone was taboo. Together, these two realize that each can soothe the other, and are actually really good for one another. The romance, while not hot and steamy like some of the others in this series, was very sweet, and the nail biting climax brought realization to the pair that certain aspects of their lives need to be changed in order for their lives to progress.
All in all, I highly recommend this book. While it is the sixth book in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend reading the others, since it will give information on some of the other characters in this story (and because the writing is really good!).

Where Tara cooed, Kaitlin bellowed.
“. . .she grabbed his arm in a brutal clutch and threw back her head and bellowed.”
Sabrina York has done it again! I love her stories, especially the Tryst Island series. First off, they happen in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and I love revisiting some of my favorite places in each book. Second, this group of friends is amazing. Their love for each other is strong and enduring. The “you mess with one of us – you mess with all of us” mentality is amazing. Who doesn’t want a group of friends like this? Although it can be a bit intimidating to someone new trying to date one of them, it is also a wonderful test of sincerity and intention to have to run a gauntlet like that. The interpersonal relationship among these friends is something I envy, and I love visiting with them in each book.
All that being said, Parker’s Passion is the story of Parker Rieth and Kaitlin Stringer. The scars these two have been carrying around are awful, but the beauty they see in each other is inspiring. Kaitlin finally meets the hero that saved her years ago. After meeting Kaitlin, Parker discovers the hero he has buried in his soul. This is a wonderful example of love bringing out the best in a man.
Ms York does an exceptional job of making each new story fresh and interesting, even among long-time friends. If you haven’t read any of the Tryst Island books, you really need to. They are all amazing and this one is no exception! I cannot wait for another.

I’m really loving York’s Tryst Island series. They are sexy, emotional and full of interesting characters. As each of them fall in love, it leaves me both satisfied and looking forward to more stories.

Both Parker and Kaitlin have problems letting others in. They were each scarred by a long ago event, but together they just might be able to learn to trust again.

I really enjoyed both of the characters. I wasn’t sure how I was going to react to Kaitlin’s psychic abilities but it works well in the story. The way she’s able to provide comfort and hope to Parker is fantastic. And he’s one of my favorite characters so far – troubled, honorable, and a little bit scared but willing to give in to his attraction to Kaitlin anyway.

There is also an interesting twist to this one – a bit of danger and intrigue, which is a little different than the ones I’ve read so far. It isn’t all that involved but it does add a little more to an already great read.

Parker’s Passion (like all of the stories in the series) is scorching, sweet and addictive. York is quickly becoming one of my go-to authors.

I received this book as an e-ARC free from Netgalley. Below is my review.

The latest book in the Tryst Island series includes the first hints of paranormal in the form of psychic healer Kaitlin who is paired with Parker, survivor of his father's "crime of passion" which is a euphemism here for abuse. This book's events run concurrent with Heart of Ash and Devlin's Dare in the timeline.

While some of the books in the series have been fun and lighthearted (Smoking Holt, Devlin's Dare), a couple have had darker themes. This is one of them. It contains some potential triggers: rape and abuse. Both Kaitlin and Parker are survivors; in Parker's case, barely physically surviving his trauma let alone emotionally. While both have suffered traumas, they are deeply drawn to each other and almost immediately hit it off. That's a little pushing it, but sometimes it just works that way.

Parker and Kaitlin are a sweet pair but they lack the explosive chemistry that other couples in this series have had. The paranormal elements seem to take away from the suspense elements in the story.

Overall, a very good read though not the best book in the series.

Parker's Passion is a wonderful story to read. It is about Kaitlin Stringer and Parker Rieth. Kaitlin was attacked and saved by an unnamed hero, Parker Rieth from being nearly raped. Several years later, Kaitlin and Parker ran into each other while taking a weekend trip with their friends to Tryst Island.

Parker has physical scars that prevents him from having a physical relationship. The women would end their relationship when he see his scars. The only thing that Parker was good at was being a divorce lawyer that he hated as a job.

Kaitlin has emotional scar. Being a psychic and being almost raped left her a psychology scar of being intimated.

Somehow Parker and Kaitlin are able to heal each other.

I was given this book by the publisher through Net Gallery for an honest review. All opinions are my own and I was not compensated for this review.

This one was okay for me. Parker is a Lawyer and a very good one it seems. They both go to Tryst island to get away for the weekends. Kaitlyn has some issues with touch and is a psychic. Friends that are very close knit and hang out almost every weekend. All college friends and all good humor. Parker see Kaitlyn and is drawn to her. Kaitlyn is just the same. She is trying to figure him out and her feelings as well. I truly enjoy this series. Parker has a past and has scars. Literally, has them. Kaitlyn is a balm for him and for her as well. They start their relationship and have some kinks along the way. The read was fast and I wonder who Drew is going to fall for? Poor Drew...Mm...well on to the next! Enjoy!

I received this ARC from the publisher via Net Galley for my honest review. Thank You, Net Galley!

Parker saved Kaitlin from certain rape a long time ago. He doesn’t remember but she does. Then, he saves her again from the same thing. After that they become friends and start dating but Parker has scars. Literally! The entire upper half of his body except for his hands and from the neck up. Will he ever trust fully enough to let Kaitlin in?

Parker’s abusive past is so heartbreaking! It makes you want to crawl into the book and hold him, hold him until he’s ok again. Kaitlin is so good for him. Her friend’s acceptance of him is good for him. I thought this book was going to be an erotic romance but the story overrode that. It was more about Parker and about Kaitlin’s ability to help him heal emotionally. I look forward to reading the other books in the Tryst Island Series.

My third trip to Tryst Island and I am not disappointed. I see more and feel more this time around. I just could not read this one fast enough.

Scars run deep and we all have one or two we want to keep hidden. Parker has hidden depths that go with his scars and he want to keep them that way. Parker and Kaitlin both have things in their past that has turned them into the people they are today. Scars and all. Kaitlin is more than meet the eye. Take the fairy over to Tryst Island and enjoy what you encounter while you are visiting.

York has most certainly done it again. She give us a sweet and passionate romance all wrapped in a small package.

Thanks, NetGalley York delivers every time.
