I really enjoyed this book and I know young adults will love the story. Although times are different now, playing hooky will always be something people share and look back on with a smile, or maybe a wry grin. this story talks of a brother and sister who already have tragedy in their young lives and find a hard lesson about playing hooky. The story is about a lot more than child hood mischief though it's about family and standing by each other and I think it was beautifully written and would be great for parents to read a loud to children.
