Good, but hard to read at times
Fear University Complete Box Set by Meg Collett: 5 stars
Favorite quote: “Fear is only a problem when we use it to manipulate and control.”
-Fear University Book One:
Ollie/Luke — both had traumatic childhoods and are so different. But somehow they come together. Yet there are so many reasons why not.. Monsters and secrets abound.
-The Killing Season BOOK II: 5 stars
Who is Ollie? Who to trust? So many threats. An obsessive stalker/killer, secrets, monsters, lies, and manipulations. And love that may not survive as a consequence. Really good, but hard to read at times..
-Monster Mine BOOK III: 5 stars
This book pulled me in and I didn’t want to put it down. Ollie faces her monsters, literally, and her fears. She breaks, but then she’s stronger than ever. It was tough to read the hard stuff, but then so rewarding to see her rise above and see “her tribe” stand with her..
-Paper Tigers BOOK IV: 5 stars
Ollie is fractured and her friends stay close as priorities change. It becomes about balance, not a war to win between aswags and humans, but battles against wrongs. A plan forms and sides are chosen. Secrets revealed. Wins and losses.
This book is fast paced, with well developed characters and a lot going on.
-Dead Man’s Stitch BOOK V: 5 stars
It took a bit for me to get into this final book of the series. But boy did it pull me in. It was dark. It was crushing and heartbreaking.. but then.. the acceptance, as life moves on. The wrap up was perfectly aligned with the sadness of loss and the beckoning of the future.
