Almost Avalon

Rate this book
Avalon--the Celtic word for Paradise, lies just 26 miles from Los Angeles on Catalina Island. Aaron and Melissa are a young Adam-and-Eve who discard the life in the fast lane for a Spartan existence on the far side of the island to fish for lobster, and live on their boat. It's almost Avalon, but not quite. Living the life they imagined--it's NOT the life they imagined. Aaron is convinced that just a few good days of fishing will change everything, while Melissa is aware that everything needs to change. Can their love survive? They inhabit the same dream, but only one of them will awaken from it.

A heartbreaking story with gravity and driving earnestness. Two lovers clinging to their tenuous existence as nature slowly dismantles it.
