It's no surprise I gave this a 5 star rating. I absolutely love everything Leslie Ayla writes, and this is no different.
I couldn't put this down. The only reason I did was to do some adulting. I love the dynamic between Annie and her best friend, Suzie. They have an amazing friendship that only seemed to grow stronger by the end of the book. When we met Lorcan and Montgomery, I thought Annie would jump in with them right away. But no, she tries so hard not to want them, but inevitably, it happens. We get to see things from their perspective as well, which is a nice touch. Especially in the beginning when they were figuring out what was happening.
There is some heartbreak in this book, too. But it does end in a very happy HEA. But the heartbreak was needed for Annie to figure out who she was.
If there was one thing I'd change, it would be seeing more of Lorcan and Montgomery together in the bedroom. There is a little peak, but I was hoping for more. Especially the three of them together, I would have liked to see the men together as well.
Leslie, you killed it with this book, and I cannot wait to see what the rest of the series looks like.

This is the first book in this series and I really enjoyed it. Annie and her best friend, Suzie spent two years in England in a glass blowing internship. Since she has a broken heart, her friend asks her to move in with her at home with her two dads. Annie does her best to stay away from the good looking dads but gives in when they go away for a skiing vacation together. Events happen to throw the three of them together and of course, there is a problem once Suzie finds out what has happened.
I enjoyed reading how Annie rebuilds her life and of course ends up with a HEA. I'll definitely read the next one in this series featuring Suzie.

This was really good story that made you think about all aspects of a relationship, and with the main female character dealing with a broken heart, and then the opportunity of a new relationship. Annie has returned home from England, where she spent the last two years with her best friend Suzie where they were on a glass blowing internship, learning all the intricacies of glassblowing. She has been invited to stay with her best friend and her fathers, Lorcan and Montgomery or Monte for short. She is attracted to both men, but is a shamed because they are her friends fathers. Annie has a lot going on, most especially her attraction to Lorcan and Monte. I really enjoyed the story and became invested in the lives of the characters and their abilities to build the relationship with each other and eventually to their own happily ever after.

Quick and enjoyable read
Forbidden Impulses is a quick and enjoyable read. The story centers on Annie, a young woman recovering from a toxic relationship that also affected her relationship with her parents. She becomes involved with Lorcan and Montgomery, an older gay couple who are interested in adding a female partner to their lives.
Annie is their daughter's best friend, and the attraction between them surprises everyone. One of the things I liked about the book was how well Lorcan and Montgomery communicate. Their conversations show the effort needed to make a three-way relationship work. They are also very caring and have a strong Daddy vibe, which makes them appealing.
However, I wish the book explored Annie's past relationship more. Understanding her struggles would have helped explain her choices better. Overall, Forbidden Impulses is a fun and quick read that combines themes of love and personal growth.

This is a new series by this author and I enjoyed the story very much, especially I think because these characters weren't perfect, they had flaws and screwed up and that was all okay, because they became better people in the long run. Annie and her best friend Suzie are taking a well deserved break after two years of interning and for Annie at least a bad breakup. Suzie has two fathers and Annie finds herself attracted to them both. After her last disaster though, she doesn't want to a) come between a happily married couple and b) truly does need to find herself and grow a bit. We get the usual friend finds out and freaks out. But what I loved was that she didn't immediately give up her dreams and take up with the two men. Instead she went through her growth and then made a much more informed decision. Why not a five star? Two things; I wanted to know more about the bad relationship and I wanted more of Lorcan and Montgomery. We do get a great HEA though.

First thing imma say is I loved Annie's friendship with Suzie. They were really close. I loved how much they supported and looked out for each other. Even after they argued and didn't speak for a minute once they spoke it out they went back to normal like nothing happened. It's always amazing to have someone in ur corner even and supporting you through everything.
I loved Annies relationship between Lorcan and Montgomery. They had amazing chemistry and they knew how to take care of Annies every need. They understood her perfectly. Like Suzie Said they need someone to care for and Annie needs someone to care for her.
Annie's growth was amazing. She went from someone who was very meeky, overthinks everything and doesn't think she's good enough to being the complete opposite. She become a lot stronger, was able to stand up for herself, find her path while learning to love herself again.

This book is amazing. It is my first story by Leslie Ayla. Let me just say I couldn't put it down. It is a story about Annie who has been living abroad with her best friend Suzie . She has just experienced a hurtful relationship and is moving back to the states to live with Suzie and her two dads Lorcan and Monte. The roller coaster story continues from there with many ups and downs between Annie, Suzie, Lorcan and Monte. Will Annie be able to overcome her past and let go to find love again or will she lose her best friend and herself in the process. This is a MUST READ! You won't be disappointed. I can't wait to read more from this author. Amazing characters and storyline!!

A sweet story, steamy, that you might wanna yell at the FMC and just tell her 'Get a clue!' The MMCs are patient but know what they want. I loved the story, the bantering, and the relationship between Suzie and Annie is one that every girl wants with their best friend.

I absolutely adored this book! Which is no surprise as I adore everything Leslie Ayla writes and I couldn’t put this one down!
Loved the friendship between Annie and Suzie and I loved the push and pull at the start of the relationship brewing between Annie Lorcan and Montgomery.
I like that it didn’t just happen instantly , we saw Annie fighting and trying to figure out what she wanted.
I enjoyed the heartbreak elements to this book but the ending redeemed it in a lovely HEA. The heart break worked well in this book, it was all part of Annie’s process and felt natural.
The steamy scenes were fun too!
100% recommend this one you will not regret it

Leslie Ayla I give this five stars! I love the relationship between the 2 best friends and how that stays strong throughout all the challenges they both face. Annie is so sweet and the problems that she faces I know could make a strong person just give up but she finds herself and how strong she truly is. The love between Lorcan and Montgomery is so sweet and then the love they share with Annie is obvious that those 2 were missing something in their lives. I can't wait to see what happens with Suzie next and maybe even Ethan in possible future books?

While this was a fairly quick read, it was so well written that I couldn't stop once I started it. I loved Annie so much and while she tries to hold back on her attraction to her best friends' fathers, you know it's gonna happen. LOL. Watching their relationship develop and how it would determine her friendship with Suzie was so interesting and I loved it all. The only thing I wish was there was more information to Annie's background. All in all, this was a great story, and I highly recommend it!

This book made me think what it must be like to be cut off from your family and ex lover. Then Suzie who she has been doing glassblowing with takes her home to meet her two daddy’s.. when Annie meets them she likes them both on site. You start to realise that they are married and also her best friend’s daddy’s. She realises she can’t come between them little knowing that they both want her. This is a great story that you see she is going to end up with two daddies to take control of her. I enjoyed reading this story

Forbidden Impulses by Leslie Ayla is a why choose romance novel. This was a really emotional and a story full of depth. It dealt with a variety of relationships from friendships to heart break to new love. I liked that the book focused on the friendship too so much.
Annie and Suzie (best friends) were in Europe on an internship. Annie is also trying to deal with heartbreak. She meets Lorcan and Monte which changes everything for her.

Disappointing
I really looked forward to this book as it was recommended by an group made up of authors. Well I won't make that mistake again. The beginning was OK the middle was blah and the ending was very rushed. The book had the potential to be a 4 star but the rushed ending ruined it.

Two Daddies and Drama
I really loved Annie’s character arc in this story. She grew so much and was able to do a lot of it independently. I also appreciated that Lorcan and Montgomery were willing to give her the space she needed to grow. The spice was good but I wish we would have gotten a punishment scene. Maybe a bonus epilogue or something. I can’t wait to read Suzie’s story.

I've yet to find a book by Leslie that I didn't love and this one ticks so many boxes for me. It's a little taboo and a lot hot. This book does a great job of looking at all the facets of a relationship both romantic and platonic. By dating her best friend's dads Annie knows her relationship with her best friend may implode, so too could he relationships with Lorcan and Montgomery.

Annie has a sweet romance with Lorcan and Montgomery. I loved the communication between them. Their and interactions had emotion and heat. It was a very quick and enjoyable read that i do wish was extended a bit hut it more to the fact I dint want to let these three go.

Such a wonderful and addicting story. Was hooked on the characters from the beginning and was begging Annie to just dive right in. The relationship between Lorcan and Monte was utterly adorable and I loved the journey that Annie goes through.

Sweet read about friendship, heartbreak, family and falling in love. I love the girls friendship here, theres great chemistry, love, forgiveness. Things a friendship should be built on. The way the trio dance around feelings, and figuring out whats going on is very sweet. Fun, funny, sweet, sexy.

This book is a daddy book and revolves around Annie and her best friends dads. She had a hard relationship abroad that sent her life upside down. So when she meets Lorcan and Monte she is definitely attracted. Loved the plot and characters. Great read.

One of my favorite things in a story is when you see the characters grow and change throughout the book. That certainly happens with Annie in this story. It's not that she is bad even from the beginning, but she grows more self-assured as things happen to her and relationships change. Meeting Lorcan and Monte is definitely life changing for her, but she has to decide what she wants given that her best friend is their daughter. She has to choose which relationship means more to her. We do get a happily ever after, though, which is always needed!
