AN INTRIGUING, SUSPENSEFUL, ACTION-PACKED, WESTERN THRILLER

Kip 2 (Kip Callahan) by John Deacon is a well-written tale of a young man who is out to become someone who always try to do good even if by doing so he places his life on the line to protect the innocent against those who will do just about anything necessary to control, rob, and even murder to forward themselves into a higher rank of criminal.
Kip heads out with Justice to escape the undeniably false judgment by Judge Burns who is another member of a secret society that is hell bent on taking control of the western territories for their own gains through violence and destruction, theft and murder. Their only goal is to take from others to not only line their pockets but to better fortify their standing against the weaker.
Justice takes Kip under his wing to teach him how to better himself for what Justice is going to be a new career for Kip were as he will be the strong fist with a fast gun to help were the law won't or can't. At the sametime, providing relief and support for those in need.
This is a story of a young man, Kip, with the love of a slightly younger woman, Ursula, and a veteran of not law and order but justice. The characters are clearly outlined and it's easy to understand the determination Kip, Ursula, and Justice to bring justice in permanent way taking out the bad guys all the while helping those they can with high morals and noble intentions to right wrongs.
This is only the second book in which I have had the chance to read by John Deacon and I can honestly tell you the two books I have read were great and truly enjoyable. If you like action, a great mystery, strong characters both male and female, were the good guys win the day, this book and series is for you.

Fans of John Deacon books are going to love this one! Folks from The Provider Saga and Silent Justice series are here. If this is your first time reading this author, please read Kip first, as Kip 2 begins right where Kip leaves off. Kip and Justice leave Dry Gulch safe, they think, but problems still lurk. Fortunately, Kip used to ride for the brand, so when he contacted them, they came running. They helped out the citizens and promised to round up their cattle and take them to market for them. Ursula, knowing she is still in danger, hops a stage and heads to Kip. Kip, on his way to see Doc, Stops for a few days in Santa Fe, where he finds that The Many has a long reach. From beginning to end, this book is packed with action!

5 STARS, KIP HELPS SAVE A MEXICAN MOTHER'S RESTAURANT FOR ONE
Book 2 another 5 STARS in the exciting & page turning Series: Kip Callahan. A well written storyline that is fast paced, action packed with six guns blazing, and a terrible evil syndicate running around the west trying to run over the good regular people that aren't strong. They have Kip, his cowboy friends, some occasional Sheriff's & ranchers, plus his associate Justice & those he works for. No, I am not forgetting the Texas Rangers which go without saying in Texas & parts of Arizona, I think.
Just that Kip & Justice tend to be able to talk people into standing up for the good fight.
Loved this read.

Great read
Love to read do a lot of it. Since my husband died eighteen years ago this month. It is a lonely life living alone. Don't reckon mind it. Good man is hard to find. He is my heart. I love your books you have a way with words and know how to keep the reader on their toes. Sorry if this is just a trilogy but will keep watch for your next book whatever it might be about. I wish you well a d thank you so much. I have just lost my last son to cancer and now my last brother and reading has helped so very much. I wish you and your fami!y well. God bless!!! Faye

Wow! Greatly disappointed. I quit at 52%. Was disappointed in Kip 1 when he was so much older than when he and Will parted at the end of the Provider series and then the book went crazy with the deep state entrance of “silent justice” and “The Many” We get enough of that in today’s news. What a let down. Sorry. I’ll pass on Kip 3 and won’t read further into the “non western” shadow story line. Guess I’m too old fashioned. Good luck John. It was a good ride.

Another exciting book by author John Deacon! The search for righteousness and justice continues. It’s so neat to start with the 10 year-old orphaned Kip in the previous series and now see him a strong young man who desires to help people and defeat the evil in the West. John does a fantastic job in developing this character as well as others throughout the two series. I’m having a hard time being patient for the release of Kip 3!

ANOTHER GREAT ONE!
Once again, John Deacon wrote a book that I didn’t want to end! I love how he wrapped three of his series together with the characters. What interesting characters they are too!
There’s two things that disappoint me though! One is that I just finished this book and the other is I have to wait a month for Kip 3 to be published so i can read the rest of the story! It’s so exciting and I am very impatient.

Excellent writing
Loved the sooty, characters are believable and I really liked Kip,Ursalla, justice and his family. I’m an animal lover so the dogs and horses are unforgettable.
The writing is top notch. I’ve read many westerns and others that have many errors and reading them is a struggle. Not Kip and friends. Can’t wait for Kip 3.

Changes, Some good, Some difficult
Try to pace yourselves because once again this book is hard to put down. The author has great character and story line development. The experiences of learning to trust new friends and new acquaintances. Realizing evil must be dealt with the necessary force to stop it.

Phenomenal!!!
The story of Kip continues!!!..wonderful storyline...I just love this character...and all the characters he comes in contact with even the bad guys!..so descriptive it feels like I'm in the story...now I have to mark off my calendar awaiting Kip 3 on January 17th...can't wait!!!

Star Quality
I have been a fan of Westerns since I was a boy. I like books where the good guy wins, is a hero and gets the fair maiden. I like the tough, no nonsense guy. This book had it all. I don't always like continuing sequels but have enjoyed books 1 and 2 and look forward to book 3.

Ties three series together.
I like the Kip character but the focus has shifted from him to other things. The draw to Kip 1 was the strong man he had become and his loss. Now it feels like we are in a different series. It has peeked my interest so I will continue, but I'm disappointed in a way as well. Recommended for all readers.

Fast read....in a good way
The west comes alive with a great story line and a good set of character s. If you liked Kip 1, you'll read this book as fast as I did.

Excellent read
This book is a definite page turner. It is full of suspense, evil people and above all love. Kip is attacked, shot and falling in love. Would highly recommend this series and all books written by this author.

Kip 2
I very much enjoyed the second round of Kip. The intertwining of several series from the same author is interesting and causes the reader to reflect on and remember these other series. Love the series format.

Great continuation of Great series
I absolutely love the way the Silent Justice series and the Provider series is brought into the Kip books. It ties it all together into a very neat and rewarding package. Can’t wait for Kip 3 and anything else that John Deacon writes.

If you love Westerns, than You will thoroughly enjoy Kip 2. John Deacon delivers another great story filled with characters we know or want to know better.
I highly recommend reading Lip first and strongly urge you to read many of his other works.

For those who like to read Westerns, John Deacon is one of the best authors out there. He holds your interest throughout the novel. The writing doesn't give you a hint towards the ending, which I like.

Really enjoy these stories that are written without profanity. It takes nothing away from the story. And it shows me that the author has more intelligence so he does not need to rely on cursing in his books. Thank you

Couldn’t put it down!!
It’s hard to review this book without giving away anything. (Kip and Ursula’s story continues.) Mr Deacon is great at telling a story that never drags or gets tedious. I enjoy his style of action and emphasizing ‘doing the right thing.’

I love Western stories
I like the Christian theme of the Kip books. The main characters are good guys and they win in the end. I've read Western since I was very young and I never tire of a good western story.

I'll be glad when I finish book 3 because I got nothing else done while engrossed in this one!
Despite their rocky first meeting, Lip and Ursula will go the distance if Doc okays it. Lip is tougher now than he was when he first rode with the Walking Gallows crew!

Good book!
I am not a writer, I will leave that to Mr. Deacon. I used to read Louis l’Amour, but he doesn’t write anything new anymore, John Deacon is filling the gap, everything I have read of his is great!
