Sometimes the only way out of the storm is directly through it.
Spencer and his loyal dog, Finn, along with their crew—Rob, Natalie, and young daughter, Maya having barely survived the treacherous seas, discover that the dangers they left behind on the open ocean are nothing compared to what lies ahead. As they reach their destination in Stuart, Florida they find a ravaged coastline, and the remnants of civilization descended into anarchy.
With the safety of Spencer's girlfriend, Kate, still uncertain, his resolve and training are tested more than ever. The crew must navigate through a landscape where survival depends not only on their strength but also on their wits and unity.
But as the barriers to reaching Kate mount, Surreal conditions, the gnawing terror of uncertainty and a relentless pursuit by those who want what little they have, push the crew of the Black Bird to their limit. Spencer and his friends must confront the dark side of humanity. It’s no longer just a race against time; it’s a fight for their very survival.
Will Spencer’s courage and leadership be enough to steer his crew through the storm of human desperation, or will they be torn apart by those that seek to capitalize on the shattered world they once knew?
Savage Shores is the 4th book in the series and has everything you expect from Bruno Miller: constant action, intimidating situations, great characters and writing, and unpredictably. Not many have read this yet, so I didn't want to give spoilers, I'll just say I hope this isn't the finale of the eries. It could be, but Rob, Nat and Maya still need to get home and other questions remain unanswerd. Bottom line: 5/5 stars, highly recommended especially for fans of apocalyptic fiction. Enjoy the ride!
You know when you have your heart set on accomplishing a goal and then something comes along that kicks you in the gut and shatters your illusions. Yes, that feeling. That's how this fourth book in the series begins.
However, as long as one is alive there is hope. Hope is thin in a post-apocalyptic world. With thin hopes and several setbacks come many self-doubts and worry that the goal will never be accomplished.
You'll have to read the story to decide if the ending was a happy or disappointing one.
Dark Waters book 4 brings a sense of relief, even if it is temporary in nature. The tension has been building through the first three books. Bruno Miller again has written a nail biter that kept me on edge to the end. I guess I just have to wait for the next book…umm, there has to be a next book!
What a good story! Cannot wait for the next episode! Characters are well done and stay in character. The plot never gives up and sheer terror keeps it moving. This would make a good movie.
I love this series ln this installment Spencer is determined to find Kate. This book does not disappoint with lots of suspense and action. This is a great series with mo swearing. I hope we don’t have to wait long for the next book.
Brilliant as usual had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. Love this guys work, I started with the Dark Road series and that got me hooked. Highly recommend.
This series was well written and well edited. It had continued action and we heard the main character’s thoughts about everything that happened. A couple of too-easy coincidences but overall a good read.
Great read. Enjoyed this so much. Could you imagine trying to live like they did. So many lives lost, it makes you think quite a bit when you read these books.
Great story and exciting adventures at sea. We follow one person in his quest to rescue and unite with loved ones. I am sorry my adventure at sea has concluded.
It has been a great series. Good finish! Just hated to see the series end. How about a book five? Would love to see them get to Jacksonville etc. Lots of potential stories here!!!
This book was very exciting with non-stop action that kept me on the edge of my seat. I liked the first three books in the series, but this one was the best so far!
I love this series , it kept you waiting to see what was happening next. I can't wait for another for this series. I have read so many Bruno Miller books. There always hang on to your seat to see what's next. Thank you for all the great stories.
