Coming out to my straight best friend is harder than I think it will be. Not because he is phobic.
Because I’m in love with him.
I know; I am a walking, talking, queer cliche.
When I do come out, he is supportive… maybe a little too much, because before I know it, he has hatched a crazy plan that involves him easing me into the gay dating scene.
I’m not sure how us being fake boyfriends fits into this, but as if I’d refuse any chance to be close to Wyatt.
In the end, I know I will end up with a broken heart.
As long as I still have my best friend, it will all be worth it.
Wyatt
Hudson is my best friend. My ride or die. My bestie with testes. So when he comes out, I’m a little surprised, but I’m happy for him to live his truth.
In theory.
Because in reality, I’m not liking everyone and their mom trying to set him up on dates.
He’s my best friend, I should be the one to help him.
When I’m put on the spot and announce we are boyfriends, it takes me a minute, but I quickly realize it’s genius. I can keep all the horndogs away from Hudson, and it’s a great reason to spend even more time together.
I love Hudson and will do anything for him.
I love his kindness.
I love his dry sense of humor.
I love his smile.
I love the way his ass looks in his cheerleading uniform.
Wait…what?
Limitless is book five in Squad Goals, a MM cheerleader romance. Expect crystal..toys, meddlesome friends, spice, and a lot of cheer.
Willow Thomas is a MM romance author who loves to write stories that will leave you smiling. When she isn’t writing, she loves to read, go on walks through the British countryside, and spend time with her family.
I loved the books at the beginning of this series - they were fun, lighthearted and decently easy reads. Not angsty but with a little conflict to make the story. While the books did get shorter as the series progressed (which is fine), they never seemed rushed. This book was unfortunately the opposite. Clocking in at just 60 pages, there was basically no character development or “meat” to the story - guy loves his bff, bff unquestioningly decides to pretend to be his fake BF so there’s no dates, they kiss once to prove they’re BF’s and suddenly start having sex all the time, decide to be real boyfriends and the story is done.
It’s not a *bad* story, and it was tagged in the 90 min read category, but I suppose I was just underwhelmed as it was part of a good series with these characters having been part of several books. Their story just felt anticlimactic and rushed. Here’s hoping the final book wraps up the series nicely as it deserves.

I really like this series about a group of male cheerleader bros and their assorted love interests, but it seems like each book is shorter, less edited, and just sort of slapdash. This is definitely more of a novella than an actual novel, and the plot (what plot?) zooms past at the speed of light. I'm really bummed, because I've been waiting for Hudson and Wyatt all series and this was just sort of a lackluster fizzler when I wanted fireworks.
First one I have read in this series but it felt super rushed. This had such great potential but just missed the mark! There was no plot or build up and the connection between these two just felt too fast and messy.
Short, sweet and cute story. If you are looking for some break from long books, I highly recommend you to start this series they all are short & sweet with some spice that would have you blushing.
This is a best friends to more college romance, featuring Hudson and Wyatt, and is book five in the Squad Goals series.
Hudson comes out to his best friend, and Wyatt is super supportive, that is until someone wants to set Hudson up on a date and Wyatt declares they are boyfriends. Fake boyfriends but still, how else was he going to protect his best friend.
This was a super sweet novella with these BFF idiots in love. I love this series, it’s low angst and funny.
Things to expect in this book are: Book 5 in series Novella MM college romance Best friends to more Both cheerleaders All the pining Coming out Possessive Fake boyfriends Bi awakening Crystal s*x toy Bit of spice Idiots in love HEA
Was really looking forward to this book and it was a bit of a let down. Book felt really rushed and all over the place. I know the books in this series aren’t long but, the other stories felt like more was going on. This felt like the author just wanted to publish it as soon as possible. The editing was nonexistent. Multiple errors through out the book. Wish Wyatt’s bi awakening was more of a plot point. They are really cute together but this book needed more pages. I wish I could give it more stars because I have enjoyed this series a lot, but the non existent editing made reading difficult.
I SHOULD be taking this time to catch up on incoming ARCs instead of catching up on new TBRs...Should be. Here's Willow Thomas's "Limitless." It's the fifth book in her Squad Goals series.

Oh silly boys. I love the trope-y-ness of this novella, but how it was still so beautiful. Their friendship flowed perfectly into a relationship, even if it took them a while to actually communicate the feelings.
And I LOVE the Basil cameo (obsessed with him), and how right Willow was when she said Cora Rose is a queer-awakening queen.
The cheer queers are back and Hudson and Wyatt finally got their HEA in this, the fifth book of the author’s Squad Goals series.
I love best friends to lovers and these two guys are an example of my most favorite kind. While some are all dramatic and filled with angst, I prefer the more fun, lighthearted ones and they certainly don’t get much more fun than Wyatt. He’s a trip! I think he was probably pretty much destined to be a cheerleader, especially when you take into consideration all the mental gymnastics he had to do in order to convince himself, Hudson and the rest of the squad that he was all in on a relationship when he’d always considered himself to be straight.
This was a super short little read but it was so much fun getting to see all the other guys and live in that little world again, even for just a few minutes. I wish they could be longer but I don’t mind, as long as we get to hear from them every now and then…right now I’m excited, waiting for Flawless to be released.
I received a copy of this book for free but this is my honest opinion.
This was a sweet, fun addition to the Squad Goals series by Willow Thomas. Hudson finally got the nerve up to admit out loud that he is gay and his best friend, Wyatt, wants to help him celebrate. But also protect him because other men out there might not appreciate everything that makes Hudson such a great catch! The pouting/texting scene on movie night had me giggling, and the sheer lack of awareness that Wyatt showed on occasion was a trip. I loved the way he tried to show Hudson that things were real between them – poor Seth btw – and the fact that everyone else was rooting for them to figure out their lives was golden! This was just what I needed as I’m down with the flu (again) and I very much enjoyed this instalment and catching up with everyone.
I’ve been a fan of Willow Thomas for awhile now. I really enjoyed this low-angst, light hearted story and thought that it was a good addition to the Squad Goals Series, which is set in the same universe as Willow’s Caught Off Guard Series. I wish this story was a bit longer so we could’ve gotten more of a build up in the relationship Hudson & Wyatt but at least they were best friends before they got together, so they already had a pre-existing relationship before becoming everything to each other. Willow is known for short format books. I thought Hudson & Wyatt were cute together. I’m really looking forward to reading more from this series as it continues, as well as more books from Willow Thomas in the future. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
Even Hudson knows that he's a 'walking cliche'. He's in love with his straight best friend. Of course he doesn't TELL him when he comes out to him. We'd have no tropes if men actually communicated. Or story. Wyatt has been best friends and roommates with Hudson since freshmen orientation. He loves Hudson like a friend. And when everyone offers to find hookups for Hudson, he announces that they're boyfriends. So, best friends to lovers, bi-awakening. This is a precious little jewel of a story. Emphasis on little. But Willow Thomas makes good use of the pages and Hudson and Wyatt get the love story the deserve. Good support from the other Queer Cheer members. I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my review.
The short and sweet besties to fake boyfriends to lovers to himbo-husbands for life we all needed, but didn’t deserve.
This perfect little dollop of life in the Queer Cheer house that we’ve all come to love finally gives us the Himbo bi-awakening we’ve been waiting for.
Hudson lives his truth while Wyatt plays catch up with the help of a meddling mom and some rose quartz that come in clutch.
As always I could read 10x the stories about these precious babies, but am always left with a smile on my face. This is the perfect pick me up and afternoon read with a cup of tea.
Best friends Hudson and Wyatt are both in the cheerleading team. Hudson has always thought his best friend was straight but when Wyatt is told that that Hudson was going to be set up with a few dates, what does a best friend have do. That's right say that he is Hudson's boyfriend. This was a good story and as it is a short read, you can fit it in between those longer books. As Hudson and Wyatt there is not any of that awkwardness with them getting to know each other. Their connection is on fire and the unusual use of crystals is a new one on me. This is a series that I enjoy to read and as they are short I can get my fix of the cheer queers anytime
I was so excited for Wyatt and Hudson's story, but I'll admit I was a little worried when I saw how short the story is. I'm not sure how she did it, but Willow managed to pack a lot into this short read. While I would have loved for it to be longer, I don't feel like anything was missing in this novella. It certainly packs a lot into the plot with best friends to lovers, teammates, bi-awakening, and just a touch of short-lived angst. There were also plenty of cameos by the other guys and it was overall a fun read.
This was such a fun novella! I loved the vibes and getting to see more of the cheer squad! Hudson and Wyatt were cute and I just wanted to read more of their story! Why wasn't this longer? I loved that they were best friends before and how possessive Wyatt was of Hudson's attention.
This was a fun bite sized novella, perfect for when you just want a quick and fun read!
I received a copy of this book from the Author, and this is my honest review.
This was short and I one hundred percent would love more from Hudson and Wyatt- but no complaints as this was a flipping delight. Is Wyatt shockingly dense about his feelings for Hudson? Definitely, and I ate it up. This was fun, sweet, and ridiculous in a way I really enjoyed. I especially loved the cameo from Gio’s mom and the gentle support from the squad. A perfect fast and fun best friends to lovers romance.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Short and sweet!! I love how fun this whole series is but i always feel like each story needs just a little bit more. While i love the quick and easy read, i feel like we are missing so much more to each couples story. This is still true for Wyatt and Hudson. Even though we have met them throughout the series, i wish there was more to their story or even their back story. I love the quick catch ups of previous and future couples as well, it’s always fun to see what the others are up too.
This is a cute bff to lovers story. This is very short, so there’s not a lot to it. Hudson comes out to his bff Wyatt, who’s super supportive however when someone wants to set Hudson up on a date Wyatt freaks out and claims they’re boyfriends. That’s pretty much the gist of it. At 60 pages it’s very short and to the point. I would’ve loved it being maybe even 100 pages and little more fleshed out.
Limitless by Willow Thomas. Hudson, who can finally admit he is gay and has been in love with his straight best friend Wyatt. Wyatt, in pursuit of saving Hudson from Gio's mom and her plans to set him up on lots of dates, what's a boy to do but tell her they are dating.. Hijinks ensue, and they both find they were always meant to be. I enjoyed this story it was sweet and funny.
This was a super short story and I felt like if the author had given it a little more time, the book would have been a lot better. There was a lot of potential, but it all felt a little rushed now. I did like the characters, but because of the length of the novel, I feel like they fell flat a little too. Could have been better, could have been worse, I liked the story.
I’ve enjoyed all of Willow’s stories. This series has been so fun and light-hearted. But it seems that the books are getting shorter and not as developed as they used to be. Best friends to lovers is a favorite of mine it just seemed a little rushed. Still a super fun novella but I definitely wanted more from Hudson and Wyatt.
Hudson and Wyatt's story is fast paced with best friends to fake boyfriends/lovers, bi-awakening, cute, funny and quirkiness just what you need for an afternoon read with a cup of coffee/tea. Great writing good banter and found family of friends to help this guys along their way. Add this to your TBR list...
When Hudson comes out as gay, his BF Wyatt tells everyone they are boyfriends to prevent him from dating anyone else, especially hockey guys. Secretly, Hudson loves him and now Wyatt wants to experiment with him. They are a perfect match, a match that is on fire! In this novella, BF's find out they were meant to be more all along. I received a copy of this and this is my voluntary opinion.
When Hudson comes out, his best friend Wyatt declares them as boyfriends in order to protect Hudson from unwanted attention. Its works well for Hudson as he has been secretly in love with Wyatt but this new declaration of Wyatt’s enables him to realise that him and Hudson were always meant to be.
A quick, low angst, best friends to lovers read with a lovely ending.
Increasingly limited returns on this series. Despite being about a close friendship becoming more there could have been more expansion to the story, but instead it was very short and even sudden in some of the realizations and changes. It feels a bit too abrupt and as though the author is simply trying to finish up pairing everyone to be done with this series.
Super fast read but I love Wyatt & Hudson. I love the connection you get to Cora Rose book (you’ll figure it out if you read them). I love the squad and how close everyone is to each other. I’m going to be bummed when this series is over.
This was a super fun quick read. I didn't know most of the other characters, unfortunately, but I enjoyed the group chat immensely. Even for a quick read, this went by super fast, but it made me laugh out loud in a few places and I enjoyed it.
I feel like the earlier books in this series were longer and I miss that about them. I was really excited for Wyatt and Hudson because I love a bi or gay awakening, but this was so short it was kind of a letdown.
Cute, utterly sweet, best friends to lovers. Hudson and Wyatt have been besties since freshman orientation but Will that change now that Hudson has come out? This short story is filled with cute romance as the two figure out where their friendship is going.
