Without Integrity, Ethics or Pride: The True Story of How Berl Schwartz and His Lansing City Pulse Publication Undermined an Entire City for Greed, Profit and Revenge
For many years, City Pulse publisher, Berl Schwartz bounced around from newspaper to newspaper before launching his own publication in the small city of 114,000 and since has been recklessly using this publication to bully, conceal real facts and selectively filter news and to support his advertiser's, political co-horts and just about every gay topic and event in town. He also is known to frequently use that paper to launch brutal attacks on those who speak out against him or who he feels have "wronged" him and whom he holds personal vendetta's against. This time the people he wrongfully attacked fought back and this sent Schwartz into an uncontrollable hissy and Schwartz knew no boundaries in the spiteful and hateful attack he led on those who started the project and were fighting back, going as far as Schwartz making false reports of criminal activity while at the same time one of Schwartz's neighbors was claiming Schwartz sexually molested a neighborhood child. His paper stands accused of unethically and maliciously attacking an entire city and that communities effort to benefit their impoverished city out of greed. Excellent history of Vanderbilt dynasty. Well written, characters well developed, easy to remember. Interesting how Anderson Cooper wants to distance himself from his mother’s family.
