My kind has gone by many names since the dawn of time, striking fear in those who speak them—bloodsucker, undead, monster, parasite, demon, and the most commonly known one…vampire.

I founded the High Council over a hundred years ago, an organization that oversees the bi-annual auction known as the Culling. It’s an arrangement between a willing human and a vampire, the human receiving cash beyond their wildest dreams and the vampire getting to feed on them. Enough to sustain, never drain.

Being a member of the High Council makes me a target to the fanged rogues that refuse to follow the rules, and since they certainly can’t kill me, they want to harm anyone I’m close to. Which is why I haven’t participated in the Culling for decades, feeding in secret in order to keep the humans’ identities safe.

But when Greyson Gilmore—the hot guy with cute glasses I met last night who lit my soul on fire and made me feel alive for the first time in almost two hundred years—shows up in the auction room, I know that everything is about to change. Because there is no chance in hell that anyone else is getting to sink their fangs into him.

Vampires tend to be possessive, and I am no exception. Greyson is mine…only mine.

Like yeah Vivian and Greyson's dynamic wasn't really it , the spice was fine, the plot too 🤷‍♀️

el concepto: ella vampiro él humano GOOD SHIT! ahora el problema es que aca lo escribió con pocas ganas, mi problema principal fueron los diálogos, la mayoría son gringe, más que nada cuando están teniendo relaciones.

Después si bien el libro es relativamente corto pasan muchisimas cosas y siento que no llego a desarrollar bien esas cosas, la autora te metía dos párrafos de historia sobre los vampiros re "wooow miraaa" para parecer mas profundo el libro pero despues no te podia hilar un dialogo decente, tambien había partes donde se notaba que era completamente innecesario y hasta estúpido hacer X cosa pero la autora lo hacía igual porque no tenía ganas de pensar un plot mejor para enganchar dos escenas que le gustaban, no se si me estoy explicando jahskah.

Otra cosa que me la bajo un montón fue la cantidad de errores gramaticales que hay, no se si es el epub que tengo yo o que onda, pero faltaban signos de puntuación a lo loco, después había veces donde decía un nombre X y estaba hablando de otro personaje QUE HACE DOS SEGUNDOS HABÍAN MENCIONADO CON OTRO NOMBRE ... ????? después mencionaba a un personaje cuando estaba hablando de otro ... un desastre el editor de este libro, si YO me di cuenta entonces esta malardo malardo.

I was so bored. I really thought it would be interesting because here, the rich vampire is the FMC instead of the MMC but something was lacking. I couldn't connect to the characters, their 'chemistry' or the plot. It was kinda insta-lust and I'm just happy that I finished with this book (because it seems I can't DNF).

What a match made in heaven, Pru's writing and a Paranormal Romance.. oft.

This was a super easy and beautiful read, from the moment we met both Vivian and Greyson, all the way through to the end of their beautiful story, I cannot wait for more from this universe and to see what the future holds,

Greyson has not had the best start in life, deciding that after a chance encounter with the smoke show that is Vivian, he needs to see her again, he over hears a conversation about doing the bidding of some rich person for 2 weeks and in exchange he will receive life changing money, not knowing what it actually entails. Not realising that she would see him again Greyson arrives at the Culling, Vivian immediately has to have him.

I would recommend you give this a read as well all of Pru's books, For Fans of Paranormal Romance, Vampires, Fated Mates, Spicy Scenes, Age Gap (Obvs).

The way I read this so fast! I felt so much joy while reading this because for some reason, it reminded me of fall, my favorite season. Not only that, but this book is about vampires x humans, and that’s the best combination to me in a book (other than other magical forms).

The two main characters meet in a meet-cute, I won’t dare spoil that. But then they find each other again in an auction, of some sorts. What strikes this auction as different from others, is that they’re auctioning off 2 weeks of drinking one’s blood.
It’s because of this auction, that they find love in one another, and love in blood (iykyk).

This is actually my first book of Pru’s, and it definitely won’t be my last. What a cute & fast read for the fall/winter time. Reminds me of something I would have read as a teen, guilt free haha.

4.5 ⭐️ a ton of plot packed into 200 pages! Loved the power dynamic between Vivian and Greyson, (we love a sweetie golden retriever who tops from the bottom) their chemistry at the bar, and the bidding scene for the culling!

A few parts had choppy writing, (i.e. names switched, incomplete sentences or quotations etc.) but the first 65% was so enjoyable that I am still happy to rate this as highly as I did!

Last 10-15% was too cutesy for me, but it’s obviously meant to be that kind of book, so I can’t complain too much. 🤷🏼‍♀️

1.5 i thought i would like it more but the book over explained so many things it turned me off. I was fighting for my life trying to finish since it was a short book. Can't believe im probably ending the year on this book considering its the 30th. It didnt have much depth but i didnt expect that from a short 200 page book buttttt i really couldnt get over the explaining the most random things in such detail. Like how when they did the auction, and author explained how if someone had the same name they will call first name and last name letter... like duh no need and who cares for that detail. Or when Greyson was in the bar and he was like idk why i said my first and last name the bartender said it so i did too... like okay?! u don't need to tell me that thought process. Vivian was okay shes a strong FMC who is keeping most people at arms length.
Plot stuff was cheesy with the whole they are soulmates, bond that keeps him alive forever but stay human. Idk i shouldve stuck with better rated books. im sorry i cringed so much

If I finish a book and think “Wow that was fun” it’s guaranteed to get at least 4-stars from me. I loved how Vivian (FMC) was the Vampire in this one, the opposite of the normal for this trope/character type. We have insta-lust between Vivian and Greyson that builds into something deeper as they get to know each other. Their romance was swoon-worthy and I felt like they both did a good job of learning about each other and their past struggles. The world-building was great for such a short novel (229 pages) and we get to meet some characters I'm sure will be the focus of future books.

The end did get a bit cutesy which might not be for everyone and Greyson’s level of maturity is a tad unbelievable (most men a decade his senior wouldn’t be as emotionally stable as he was even after everything he’d been through). But, that didn’t take away from my enjoyment at all.

I’m excited to see this will be a series and was thrilled with my first introduction to Pru as an author.

So, should I have read this around Halloween when it was published? Yes. Was it still fun even though it's January? Yes! I mean, two gorgeous people having an instant connection which turns out to be so much more is hard to put down at any time of year. The connection between the two MCs, given their histories and hardships, was just beautiful. I also loved how protective they were of each other, especially how protective the FMC was. The instant connection that grows into something very rare and special was just delightful. I would have loved the mystery and chase for the bad guy to have been a little more prominent in the plot, to have lasted longer and started a little earlier. Great read! TW - past off page child abuse.

Big thanks to Pru Schuyler for a copy of this book. This is my honest opinion and my apologies that I have only just read this now.

A-MA-ZING. I started it this morning and i finished it a lil bit after 4pm. Just this book hooked me from the proloque. This book has everything and more. It was so sweet and so real. And it was so hot. I love Greyson!! Vivian has made him live life out of his comfortzone and Greyson made Vivian feel alive again for the first time in over a 100 years. And the way it happend and the reason it happend it was beautiful. To see their love blossoming and the fantasy aspect in this. It was just beautiful. And just greyson a human the way he speaks about and to people of the supernatrual it was funny, heartwarming and just beautiful. Thats the perfect word to discribe this book and their love, beautiful🥺🥰 do i love good blood bite vampire smut. 10/10

I read this on Halloween and thoroughly enjoyed it. Firstly I loved that the FMC was the vampire, it was refreshing! Vivian was a really well written character who could be ruthless when needed but ultimately was a caring, empathetic and loyal person who kept her human emotions. Greyson is also a beautiful character who is finally brave enough to want more from life than his repetitive day to day he currently lives after a traumatic childhood. I loved how despite who the world treated him he was still so caring to anybody he came across, he was gentle and had a real depth to him. The found family in this book was great, it was action packed, spicy and even had a sprinkle of suspense. I loved the whole world built in this book and hope to get more from these characters of St Eldritch.

Greyson is a college student tight on cash. So when he hears about a gig that's almost too good to be true, he doesn't look too hard at it before agreeing. Which is how he ends up at a vampire auction. And there is one with her sights set on him.

I struggled to connect with this book. Was it a spicy spooky season read? A mystery with vampires? I felt like it tried to be both and ended up being neither. Not enough attention was given to the mystery to pull me in. I really liked the twist on the fated mates trope. It was the highlight of the book.

Wasn't sure why to expect from this it's been on my Kindle TBR since release day, so I thought I'd give it a go next while I'm working through my list. I loved that our FMC was the vampire, and MMC human was a nice switch from the usual perogative. I wasn't expecting this to be quite so cutesy, but it made the book such an easy read, and I read it so fast! But as much as it was cute and fun, I found it hard to connect with like I usually do a book I was close to DNFing but glad I didn't and pushed through the ending was actually sweet

Overall a great read; the premise of the meet cutes and forced proximity was well done.
Greyson is such a golden retriever cinnamon roll, especially for Lulu.
Loved the brutality of the battle with the big bad! Well written and descriptive, it was a great scene.

Could easily be a 4 star read if there weren't some issues with the writing. Names were incorrectly placed or wrong, mistakes with quotations and unfinished sentences. Took me out of the book at times and had to reread to make sure I wasn't reading it wrong or missing an entry of a character.

Hi this was my first paranormal romance and I am desperate for the rest of this series because this was AMAZING!! Saint Eldrich is so cozy with a little bit of spooky to it. Greyson is a little broken golden retriever with the hottest glasses and he reads - yes i know you're in love with him too. Vivian is a bombshell who I am in love with, like the biggest crush on her. Now she's a vampire who is running the high court, she also happens to be a billionaire. The way she claims Greyson is HOT. Honestly I'm just obsessed and now I need more of the paranormal cozy books

I enjoyed the vampire × human relationship, but reversed. Normally the male is the vamp, but not in this romance.

I thought Grayson was a good MMC, and Viv was a good companion. The romance ran pretty fast, with some insta love sprinkled in, so that tossed me for a loop, but I enjoyed it none the less.

If you want a quick, spicy book, with a bit of "who did this to you", and revenge, you'll love it!

It was a cute vampire x human love story and for someone who plays DND and enjoys the concept of paranormal, I have yet to fall head over heels with a book of this genre.

I really enjoyed the spice and the concept but there was just something I couldn't put my finger on. I enjoyed the role reversal with a dominant MFC.

I liked Grayson and Vivienne but I didn't find this book swoon worthy.

The absolute GRIP this book had on my was borderline ridiculous.

The characters. The world. The revelations. The drama.
