Luna thought her biggest problem this Halloween would be choosing between popcorn or candy for her movie marathon.
Then she accidentally summoned a half-demon into her living room.
Now her quiet night has been replaced by supernatural mishaps, flaming accidents, and one devastatingly handsome, infuriatingly smug demon who refuses to leave.
Damien—the half-demon in question—is charming, cocky, and far too comfortable making himself at home… especially on Luna’s couch. As sparks begin to fly (sometimes literally), Luna starts to wonder if this whole accidental-summoning situation might actually be the best mistake she’s ever made.
Between magical chaos, irresistible chemistry, and a growing attraction she definitely didn’t plan for, Luna is about to discover that love doesn’t always arrive quietly.
Sometimes it shows up with horns. And possibly a tail.
A Little Wicked is a fun, flirty paranormal romantic comedy filled with humor, heart, and supernatural charm. Perfect for readers who love cozy paranormal romance, Halloween vibes, accidental magic, and love stories that don’t take themselves too seriously.
Because when your happily-ever-after comes with wings… things are bound to get a little wicked.
I really wish this was a full length book because it was so cute! The cover is gorgeous & it’s a super quick read. But it was a little too quick for my liking, which is why it’s not a 5 ⭐️. I felt like I blinked and it was over.
Book Review: “A Little Wicked” by Morticia Storm Onyx
“A Little Wicked” is a novella that takes on the format of a diary in my opinion to begin with which, while potentially engaging for some, didn’t quite work for me. The pacing felt rushed, almost as if it was hurtling toward the end at warp speed, leaving little room for character or plot development. Although I understand it’s a novella, the abrupt jumps in time—sometimes spanning several months between chapters—added to the disjointed feel of the story.
The romance, though closed-door, lacked the buildup or tension I typically enjoy in similar reads. I was left wanting more depth and emotion, but the fast-paced nature of the book didn’t give much time for the relationship to grow organically.
Additionally, the structure left me confused. Some chapters were so brief that they barely spanned 1000 words, which made it difficult to feel fully immersed in any given moment. Overall, while the premise had potential, the execution felt too rushed and fragmented for my taste.
The whole idea of the book surprisingly if the author took the whole thing and expanded it to a full book… I’d actually be all for it and the details would be there that I’m looking for
I wrote A Little Wicked because I wanted to create something fun, quirky, and full of humor—a rom-com with a magical twist that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I’ve always loved stories where ordinary people find themselves in extraordinary, supernatural situations, and the idea of Luna accidentally summoning a half-demon during a harmless Halloween spell was just too tempting not to explore!
What I enjoyed most while writing this book was the dynamic between Luna and Damien. Their banter and chemistry made every scene a blast to write. I loved weaving together moments of laugh-out-loud humor with genuine heart, especially when they start navigating their relationship and the chaos of parenthood in their own supernatural way. Plus, who doesn’t enjoy a little fire-breathing toddler running around?
This book is perfect for readers who enjoy:
Lighthearted, funny romance A touch of magic and supernatural elements Slow-burn, flirty tension without tons of steam Sweet, feel-good happily-ever-afters Strong, witty heroines and charming, devilishly handsome heroes If you’re looking for a quick, playful read to escape into, A Little Wicked is here to provide all the cute, cozy vibes (with just a dash of chaos)!
