Short and definitely intriguing! Will keep you wanting for more. Pick this up and you won't be disappointed:) Knowing the author, I am pretty sure more amazing writing will follow.
All the right ingredients for a page-flipping and anticipation-raising story that I could easily finish during my commute to work. Absolutely loved it.
“Destination: Death” is a short horror story debut that centers around a family of four from Mumbai that takes a vacation to North Sikkim. While on their family excursion they encounter unexplainable happenings which finally come to a head near the end of the story. I enjoyed the creepiness and paranormal aura of this short story. What I appreciated most was about this tale was that author, Abhijeet Kumar, included bits of Hindi throughout the story adding a cultural aspect to the narrative. In future stories, I would love to see more extended dialogue between characters which I think would give a more natural quality flow. Also I would love to read a full length book by Abhijeet. All in all I would definitely read more by this author, keep the creepy coming!
I loved how Abhijit pulled this off. Perfect plot and storyline. If this is what inspires author by travelling, I want him to travel more and come up with such stories :) The book had me hooked from start to finish. I am a big consumer in horror genre. Although I am more into movies than books but the eerie plot and vivid narration kept me on edge. Perfect for a quick, spooky read, especially if you're a fan of Indian horror. A must-read for anyone looking for a short yet intense
As soon as Abhijeet announced the release of this novella, I instantly headed over to Amazon to purchase it. The unsettling dread builds well. There isn't much I can say about the plot or characters since, it's such a short piece of work with just 25 pages, but somehow I was completely enthralled and would love to read a continuation. I think this would have made a very decent full-length book. I look forward to reading his future novels.
