“She took another deep breath, grabbed the handle firmly again, and pulled upward with all her might. Slowly, the door started to creak open, inch by inch, until the opening was wide enough for Letty to slip inside. The door closed solidly above her head. This was it; she was in. No turning back now.”
The castle is bustling as it prepares for the arrival of the prince of Pelorias. As Letty is caught up in all the action, puzzling things continue to happen around the castle. Demonstrating courage and integrity, Letty works hard to support Princess Maisy while also trying to unravel the deepening mysteries.
I really liked the book. The book is very mysterious and it was full of suspense. It was all about a girl who works at the castle as a lady-in-waiting. She found many secrets around the castle and wanted to explore more. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery and suspense.
*SPOILERS* The book started at a castle and a girl named Letty works as the lady-in-waiting. Her brother said that there is one last search party for her father and after that the people will be done looking. One night at the castle she is getting ready for bed when she hears her brother out the window. Her brother said that they didn't find him and she went and cried in the garden. While she's crying she hears a voice that sounds just like her father but when she asked he doesn't respond. She realizes that there is something strange going on and then she finds out that her father was in the dungeon. Her father tells her that she can't tell anyone but she decided to tell her friend Jocelyn because she trusts her deeply. Later they tell Princess Maisy about it and she tells Letty to bring them food and blankets.
CONTENT none MESSAGES sneeking/disobeying the king is sometimes ok - don't marry bad people - loosing family memebers is hard WRITING alright CONCLUSION I dont remember this books as well as the first one. It contained the visiting royalty trope, as well as some other common elaments that were spoilers. ()
