JIHAD: The Day I Died: The Story of a Radical Warrior Defeated by Grace
As a small boy, Abdull was given an inside view into the strictest form of Islam in Iran. As the oldest grandson of a radical Ayatollah, he was expected to follow in his grandfather's footsteps and lead the people of Iran into a pure form of Shia Islam. From the day he was born, his family prepared him by sending him to a madrassa for religious instruction, sending him to the streets barefoot in the snow to carry water for the mourners of the Islamic prophets, and at the age of 13, Abdull began his training for jihad as a mercenary for the Islamic Iranian army.
Abdull joined a secret elite Islamic unit that trained him to kill anyone, anywhere, at any time – jumping from airplanes, diving and swimming in combat waters, operating armored battle tanks, handling the most sophisticated small arms weapons, and lacing bridges and tunnels with explosives. The training of young, inexperienced men to fight in a holy jihad can be found anywhere throughout the Islamic world, but Abdull was different. Much different.
When the Ayatollah of Iran declared a holy war, Abdull was hand selected to carry out several secret missions. On one of those missions, he died. He was venerated as a martyr of Islam, but then something amazing happened.
Three days after Abdull's body was placed into a morgue, he came back to life.
What happened next changed Abdull's view of Islam forever. His shocking transformation led him on a journey of grace, love, forgiveness and most importantly – truth. What he discovered sent the religious leaders of Iran into a fury, eventually landing him on death row in an Iranian prison.
Now, the Muslims who he once fought and died for want him dead and they will stop at nothing to kill him.

A transformative life story that only The Love + Truth of JESUS can perform!
A detailed and inspiring life story of a boy from iran. A boy who was supposed to follow his family's religious leadership in every aspect of his life. In a culture of honor + shame amidst the backdrop of the Iranian revolution in 79; this story has the reader glued to each page as the boy grows up w the normal questions but unable to ask them due the smothering fear islam instills in all muslims, esp in Islamic countries. Christians must read this (along w other information about Islam) to gain understanding about the hearts of muslims. Muslims don't understand the LOVE OF THE LIVING GOD! Islam prohibits any questions + many are punished, imprisoned for leaving islam. We must show the Truth and Love of their LORD + SAVIOUR Jesus Christ so they can replace the fear, hatred + hopelessness with the Love, grace, forgiveness and Eternal HOPE found in The True God revealed in The Bible- Father, Son, Holy Spirit! Of course God is almighty+ more complex than His Creation! So The Triune Nature of GOD is HOW God revealed Himself in The Sciptures. Eternally able to show love and commune as The Father Loves the Son, The Father Loves the Holy Spirit. ex Muslims make Awesome Christians! They know what desperation feels like trying to do enough to earn allahs forgiveness but never knowing what's enough. Never hearing or feeling prayers answered while memorizing prayers likely in the foreign language Arabic. The Gospel of JESUS is the most magnificent news of ALL TIME! No wonder even in this secular world we still Stick to dates years bc of HIM....He split Time in two just as His Crucifixion + Resurrection Tore the Veil in The Jewish temple from too to bottom ....showing Jesus as TheWAY to eternal Life!!!! Amazing story! The brutality this mansuffered in prison is hard to imagine. I pray the western church wakes up!I pray I'd have even a tenth of this mans steadfast devotion to The Lord! Peace of Christ! Maranatha!

This book so vividly shows what God does in a person's life. It is so totally awesome and amazing what God did in Abdul's life, how he was changed and strengthen, even in the worst and cruelest of unimaginable persecution.

Once I started reading the book, I just couldn’t put it down! I was captivated from the first word until the last. Such an amazing life story/testimony!
