I couldn’t put it down, it pulled me in, swung me round, threw me at a wall, grabbed my hair and spun me to the floor…yep! It did all that. It’s one of those reads where you want to grab the female and shake her but in the same vain you want to be her, iykyk lol I can’t start with the guys because I really didn’t gel with any of them, if you take it upon yourself to read the book you may find the same affects you or you may like them, that’s how this storyline gets you 🤷🏻‍♀️

AND, just when you think you’ve figured it out, she throws in a twist or two or three. I loved it, it gripped me, it shook me and it left me going wtf!

This is the perfect spooky time horror book to read, it’s dark, twisted erotic horror that pulls you in from the start and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

It’s filled with blood, gore, with twists and turns you don’t see coming. The spice will have you looking for a dry spot to sit and finish this book. And the ending oh the ending is masterful

I didn’t read the first version though I do own it. Now I’m wondering what the difference is.

This book is a why choose erotic horror, and it's exactly the kind of disturbing and demented ride that fans of dark romance crave. From the spicy, steamy scenes to the pulse-pounding plot, I couldn't put it down!

I absolutely love KM Rogness's writing style. She has a way of weaving intense, spicy moments into a solid storyline that keeps you hooked from start to finish. Trick or Treat had me eagerly flipping pages, and the alternate ending? Let me just say, Rogness did not disappoint! It was everything I hoped for and more. If you're a fan of dark books with horror and plenty of spice, this one is going to knock your socks off (among other things).

The cover is gorgeous, and I’m completely obsessed with it. It perfectly captures the dark, seductive energy of the book.

But let me be clear—this is a dark book. KM Rogness doesn't shy away from pushing boundaries, and the story is pretty demented in the best way possible. It's essential to read the trigger warnings before diving in. If you're a fan of dark romance, you’ll love it, but don’t go in blind and then be surprised that it’s disturbing—it’s meant to be.

I absolutely LOVE this book and it is one that I recommend quite often. I adored the original that came out in Feb and I feel the same with version as well. I was so stoked to reread it.

These men do some DERANGED and HORRIBLE things to Scarlett. Saint, Riley, Blade and Nixon are your dream men that are unhinged, tatted, built and morally pitch black lunatics.

Scarlett IS feminine rage. She fights them at every turn. I love her.

This spicy smut is top notch high level! It shouldn’t be this good in such a dark plot. It is a highly sexual book where the spice is in almost every chapter.

This reworked version has a bit of a different ending and more secrets were revealed. I love books that do not have a HEA or even a typical HEA.

YOU DO NOT GET A HEA.

I know I love a fictional, possessive, mask wearing obsessive stalking man, but Nixon, Blade, Saint & Riley take the slasher genre to a whole different level. With that being said, please check the trigger warnings as this book is very dark and, in my opinion, does NOT i repeat does not end with a HEA. This book had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning and feeling some type a way all the way to the end, ESPECIALLY at the end, but I regret nothing.
The progression of the story was slow at first but man when it gets going does it really get going and the twist at the end had me yeeting my kindle across the room and scurring to pick it up to see what happened next. Definitely one of my top 10 why choose , horror erotica faves 🖤

Halloween customs are now in the hands of vicious predators who show no remorse. This is the turning point in Scarlett's life, where things will never be the same.

The author wrote one amazing novel and dared to blur the boundaries between euphoria and bloodshed and set a new high standard for all why choose books I read moving forward.

For some, it was natural to be drawn into the pleasure of dark erotica, but for me... I was terrified about Scarlett because these brutal savages were so unpredictable. It is everything one could want for their next Halloween season book.

The story is a slow burn why choose dark romance?. This book is dark, the line of romance may seem to be crossed - very dark. FMC Scarlett gets herself wrapped up in soemthing she shouldn't have and suddenly she's infront of four masked men... who want revenge. for what though?
I enjoyed this read, i wish it was longer inbetween the months/chapters

Holy hell!! I enjoy dark reads but this was something else, I couldn't put it down! I have included the tropes below but please do check out the trigger warnings before reading.

Scarlett has been through it. A night in the cemetery during halloween changes everything for Scarlett and her friends. Keeping the secret of what happened that night is one thing but then dealing with her friends being picked off one by one, anyone would go a little crazy.

Speaking of crazy, our 4 - yes 4 MMCs are dark, demented and dangerous and all they want is the fun from the kill and Scarlett. The strange/forced relationships between Scarlett and the 4 masked men is comical at times but ultimately downright disturbing. @darksmutauthor_kaseyr has left me ready to beg for more!

I genuinely enjoyed this, probably more than I should've but I look forward to whats next, especially after that ending. Hell yes, little badass Scarlett (not spoiling)

I loved this book! It is a spicy Halloween horror erotica about 4 absolutely brutal, unhinged serial unalivers who travel town to town committing horrible, gruesome murders. Now, they’re back in the heart of Salem, Massachusetts and, unfortunately for Scarlett, she fell into the gaze of saint and soon all 4 of these ruthless men would become OBSESSED with having and destroying her. This is such a great read to kick off the spooky season! So so many twists and turns you truly never know what’s about to come next! This book had me all over the place from laughing at the witty humor, to grossed out in some scenes (THE FINGERS 😅 iykyk) but nonetheless very intrigued the entire time! Please remember to check the trigger warnings as this is a VERY dark and heavy themed book! But if you’re into why choose, the darker and more f!cked up, the better, morally pitch black, twisted mindf!ck of a story, this this is the one for you! 🤭

Talk about a total 180 with that ending, I never saw it coming. I love a book that keeps you on your toes and every chapter takes you completely by surprise.
She kept everything interesting and not only did the characters manipulate each other but, I also got manipulated too lol. I believed one thing for the whole book and then realized it was all a trick. It was amazing! This was a perfect Halloween read with mystery, murders, and of course spice. It kinda of reminded me of that movie “I Know What You Did Last Summer” with a twist and way darker.
The only thing I didn’t like was I kept getting mixed up with who was who for the first few chapters and the back and forth with flashbacks didn’t help. I read the alternate ending version so I’m going to read the original version next.
If you can handle the really dark stuff then you will enjoy this book, make sure you read the trigger warnings!

I will start off by saying I really did enjoy this book and by no means “dislike” it. I think the difficulty I was experiencing while reading was the lack of connection with the characters because there wasn’t much of a backstory told throughout the story or in depth emotions. Which I think made me feel disconnected from the story. It did take me a minute to get into it at first because the beginning of the book is just them stalking her and that happens over a very long period of time.

I was very confused up until the 20% mark on what was even going on. It kinda just felt like you were thrown into the story without any context. The time jumps from past to present made the story feel disjointed and confusing. Some of the scenes were very graphic because the main male characters were basically torturing the FMC. This is definitely a pitch black read with some questionable content so please know that before going in but I have no trigger warnings so none of the actual dark content within the book bothered me.

If you go into this know that there are scenes regarding non consent and torture. I do own the first edition to this book and would like to reread that as well to see how the endings differentiate. With that being said I still fully enjoyed this book and would recommend to those who like this genre. 🖤

First and foremost, please check out the trigger warnings before adding this to your SPOOKY TBR… I was able to read an ARC of this 😈 story before release day and I can definitely say… you don’t want to miss this new version.

Scarlett is just trying to live her life but after a tragic incident that left one deceased at the cemetery, it’s been flipped completely. But when those closest to her start disappearing or coming up dead, their secret may not be hidden afterall. The new men that have horrendously appeared in her life have a horrific vision ahead for her, playing sadistic and sexual games with her, as they decide that Halloween night would be the night they devour her virginity. But at what cost…

This is not your loving but unhinged romance. There is NO happy ending but there is a large amount of smut to keep your dirty minds at ease. A few of them will linger with you long after you’ve finished the book (ie severed fingers) but it just sinks you further down the disturbing sinkhole wondering how it’s all going to end.

KM Rogness completely shattered me, just to rebuild me and do it all over again. Someone is gonna have to cover my therapy bill because, from the beginning, I was questioning everything I've ever known about myself. From the very first page, I was addicted, the twists and turns, lies, depraved things that happened, the gore, the spice, all made this novel impossible to put down. One more chapter? Nope, forget that I'm finishing the entire book in one sitting. I highly recommend this book, but please mind your Trigger Warnings ⚠️ this book is deliciously dark, but don't get it twisted. This is NOT a ROMANCE or DARK ROMANCE. This is pitch black but in the most destructive, depraved, and deliciously dark way that will leave you questioning yourself the entire time. Okay where do I start!
With the amazing storyline?
With the brilliantly depicted, complex, incredibly sexy and hot masked characters?
Or the earth shattering plot line that takes you down to the darkest depths and invites you in with open arms.

I didn’t have the pleasure of reading the original version of this story and I am quite happy about this as this was a whole new story for me to explore! It gave me a wide open perspective… And what a story it is full of Gore, murder, suspense and so much more.

This is a twisting rollercoaster ride from the very start right to the bitter end! And I loved each and every moment of it!

It’s a bit of a slow burn… But that’s right up my street, I love it slow with the right amount of burn. And I think our FMC, Scarlett does too… with all her innocent and sweet demeanour. Well! Deep down she loves it.

With multi POV’s this narrative is a showstopper of unhinged supremacy, sadistic and evil masked men run rampant throughout the storyline.

This book blew my freaking mind! This is my first erotic horror novel and my god it was eye opening. First things first, please read trigger warnings before reading this. I consider myself quite open minded but there was parts in this even I was shocked, yet so enthralled with the story and characters I couldn’t put it down. It follows 4 men with a salacious desire to murder. Only this story ends in their own demise. This book is gripping, heart stopping and sexy all at the same time. This book has made my desire to visit Salem even more of a need. Thank you so much KM Rogness for this amazingly written piece of horror.

I loved the OG version of Trick or Treat by KM Rogness, but let me tell you....this new version will blow your fucking mind!!

Trick or Treat is still deliciously dark and twisted but Kasey adds a prologue, a few new chapters and a new ending which still has me picking my jaw up off the floor!!

I loved the new chapters and how she added more of a backstory for our 4 sexy masked stalkers. Kasey does an amazing job tying the new chapters in with the OG version that if you never read it, you would never know the difference.

Everyone needs to read this new version because it is ah-fucking-mazing!!

Wheeeewww chileeee you are in for a wild ride with this one. In all the deliciously naughty ways possible. Two words Blade, Saint. Sheeesssh I had to stop myself from speeding through this book. I wish this was a 4 part Book series with a prequel coz I’m in love 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

Also it is a slow-ish burn BUT because of the mystery/thriller ambience and plot of the story it creates more of a fast past because all you want to do is find out “okay so what’s going to happen next with these sexy strangers and this little sexy little cats (that’s right I said CATS because this is a why choose) and mouse game they’re playing”

I could not put it down like I said I was trying not to devour this in one sitting.

This is the first book (OF NOW MANY THAT I WILL BE READING IN THE FUTURE OF THIS AUTHOR) I have read by this author and I can’t wait to get my hands on more of her books.
