Immersion is a mind-bending thriller that transports readers into a world where reality, technology, and the human mind collide. Fans of shows like Westworld, Black Mirror, Outlander, and The Bridgertons will be captivated by its unique blend of speculative fiction, historical intrigue, and psychological suspense.

June’s consciousness is split between two dramatically different realities—one set in the opulence and eerie atmosphere of Georgian England, filled with courtly intrigue and paranormal occurrences, and the other in the futuristic country of Atlantis, where cutting-edge technology defines people's existence. As a participant in the SR2128 program, June must navigate both worlds while uncovering a conspiracy that threatens not only her sanity but also her life.

But Immersion isn’t just about suspense and action. It offers a multi-layered narrative that delves deep into the human mind, asking profound questions about reality, identity, and the meaning of life. Based on real scientific research in neuroscience, quantum physics, and artificial intelligence, the novel speculates on the future of technology in ways that are both plausible and thought-provoking.

The story unfolds across two parallel timelines, creating a richly textured experience for readers who enjoy a puzzle to solve. The use of symbolism, literary allusions, and references to English history and culture adds depth to the text, while the fast-paced plot keeps readers engaged from start to finish. Inspired by ancient Celtic beliefs and the works of literary greats, Immersion weaves together historical and futuristic settings with supernatural elements, creating a gothic atmosphere that heightens the suspense.

As June’s two identities begin to blur, readers are drawn into her unraveling world, where the boundary between reality and illusion becomes dangerously thin. This eerie sense of unease lingers throughout the novel, pulling readers deeper into the mystery.

For those who enjoy intellectual adventure, Immersion goes beyond entertainment, exploring philosophical questions about the essence of reality and the human experience. It also tackles the implications of future technologies, grounding its speculative elements in scientific advancements. Despite its intellectual depth, Immersion remains accessible and thrilling, balancing complex ideas with a gripping, action-packed narrative.

What sets Immersion apart from other thrillers is its ability to blend edge-of-your-seat suspense with thought-provoking insight. It's not just another predictable story—it’s a layered exploration of the mind, wrapped in a compelling narrative that combines history, science, and gothic fiction. Fans of Dan Brown’s The Origin will appreciate the mystery, symbolism, and scientific intrigue, while those who love Outlander and The Bridgertons will enjoy the richly detailed historical settings and the emotional depth of the characters.

The novel’s connection to ancient Celtic beliefs adds a unique complexity to the story. Paranormal elements serve as metaphors for deeper existential questions, creating an eerie and unsettling mood that stays with readers long after they’ve finished the book. As Immersion explores the idea of multiple realities, it challenges readers to question what is real and what is illusion, making it as much a journey of the mind as it is a thriller.

With its richly woven narrative, Immersion is more than just a book—it’s an experience.

Interesting and unique!

What caught my eye about this book was the description: a storyline that skips between timeliness, a mystery weaved into the story and that sci-fi feel to it was a really interesting mix to get lost in. I loved the jumps between the advanced neuroscience / advanced humanity vs the Georgian England set up.

I enjoyed the author’s writing style - it was engaging and immersed me into the story. The MCs were easy to like but what I enjoyed the most was the original and well thought through storyline. I’ve not read anything like this yet and I enjoyed it’s uniqueness.

It could probably be a little shorter, but other than that it was a good read!
