I’d been in survival mode my entire life, battling the ghosts of my past, believing I was destined to either die at a young age or end up in jail. Thankfully, neither occurrence happened, although not for a lack of trying. I’d succumbed to the idea I’d be alone for the rest of my life. It was the reason I closed myself off from everyone. I had nothing to offer except anger and regret. Then I found solace when I joined the Knights Corruption, discovering the sense of family I’d longed for. Fate stepped in once more when I met a woman who stirred up emotions I never thought I could feel. Just as I began to embrace the possibility of love, I found out I was going to be a father, thrusting me into a whirlwind of responsibility and fear. As the war with the Los Zappas cartel threatened to steal everything from me, I battled between my past and my future. Would I be given the chance to rise to the challenge and protect the family I’d been gifted? Or would the shadows of my past consume me, denying me the opportunity at redemption?
I'm an indie author who grew up with a love of reading and a very active imagination, never putting pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard until 2013.
I typically write romantic suspense, as I love stories with some twists and turns. I also love my HEA, although the road to get there is quite the journey.
We jumped right it at the start of this book. My goodness. My heart was in my throat right from the first chapter. If you haven’t read any of these books I suggest starting WAAAAAY back at the beginning with Marek or at the very least, start with Tag. S. Nelson has a way with words that is just unmatched. She paints a story so well that you feel like you are right there in the book. Utah was no exception. The drama and suspense were there from start to finish. The feelings and emotions poured off the page. I hate that this is the end but hold out hope we will get more of her wonderful stories. Here’s to hoping they connect with this MC world and we get a glimpse of some of our favorite characters again.
This is a good book and its like a modern day Romeo and Juliet. The characters are both learning to be together and survive in this world of the club. Ria and Utah are together, but not together. They love, argue, and fight, but eventually they come together and have a strong connection with each other. Utah has had a rough start in life and being in the club, has given him a sense of family and friendship. When there is trouble from the Cartel, Utah is hurt and he loses a brother. This leads to him spiraling down the rabbit hole and almost losing Ria. Ria fights to bring him back from the edge, and soon they are together and happy.
This book jumps right into the thick of things and doesn’t let up until The End…wow! This series is gritty and a little dark but it’s also exciting and sexy and sweet. These guys are tough and hard and not to be messed with but they also love the women that fall for them and their families. Utah was a wildcard for me at first. His past is pretty messed up but he left me pleasantly surprised. He and Ria have a lot of obstacles to get through but she’s a tough little woman and he’s a determined guy. Great addition to an already amazing series, wish we had more.
This is the 4th and last book in the KCMC- Laredo series. They are interconnected so I would read them in order. If you haven’t read any of the books, there may be spoilers.
In book 3, Knox, we learn about the relationship between Utah and Ria. Knox is the older brother to Ria and also a part of the Knights Corruption MC, like Utah. Knox was not the least bit happy to find out about Utah and his sister and now, it’s a shock to them all that Ria is expecting. As the KCMC continue to have problems with a rival, Utah is directly involved and in extreme danger. As he relives his life, he had a difficult childhood, finally found the KCMC and felt like he had a place. Then he met Ria and has a child on the way..if only he makes it out. He wants the chance to tell Ria how he feels, that he loves her and wants a family.
Ria never quite knew what her status with Utah was. They were just having fun, so to speak, when she found out she was having his baby. Now they can’t find him and she’s beyond worried. Much like Utah, if she gets the chance, she wants a real relationship with Utah, a family, and she wants to tell him how much she loves him..if she gets the chance.
All of these books were great! The rollercoaster ride of feelings. The issues, the dangers, the complications..but then the understanding, the love..it’s all great to read! Thankfully these are pretty easy/short reads, so I love angst, the intensity, but then the resolution is right around the corner. Very entertaining! Sorry to see these go but this series and the spin offs are all really good reads.
This story started out with a my heart in my throat for me. It is a great story, that is full of tragedy, strength, and a few twists. I loved it!!
Utah has a lot of demons to fight in this story, but his main outcome is that he wants to be the man that Ria deserved and the man he should be for his child that was on the way. He found that he needed to break the walls down around his heart and open it up to Ria if he wanted the life he was dreaming of with her, and the family that they could have together.
Ria second guesses a lot during her relationship with Utah, but she finally figures out that she loves him and wants to have a life with him. Now she has to find a way to let him in and help him find a way to overcome the demons that he's fighting. With her by his side, he can overcome a lot.
I love the characters in this series and Utah and Ria didn't disappoint. There were a few times I was hoping that what was going through my mind was not what was going to happen.
I love the Knight's Corruption MC and hope there will be more to come with more great characters in the future.
🎧 Audiobook review 🎧⚡ Spoilers might lie ahead—I usually like to talk shit about everything that goes down in these books
It’s all my fault. I swore I wouldn’t touch this series again after Knox, but I caved… James Cassidy’s voice is my weakness and he knows it. I’m not even a big fan of biker-club books, but I’ll tolerate them if the romance is worth it.
In this case? There is no romance. The whole foundation of their relationship happens off-page, so we don’t actually get to see anything developing. In this book, she’s off doing pregnancy things and he’s off doing club things for about 80% of the story — basically separate the whole time.
Some of the conversations feel juvenile, especially on Ria’s side, and there’s a lot of repetition. And honestly, way too much baby talk for my taste. The pill situation was just… meh. He starts getting addicted, acting weird, and then—poof—he just stops. No buildup, no payoff.
The spice was bland vanilla, the 2 times at the end.
I have been reading books from this author for years now. I started the Knights Corruption series with it's first book, "Marek", and I've been hooked ever since. After the original series finished and the Laredo chapter began, I was still consistently hooked. The twists and turns these characters have taken make their love stories truly deserved and that much more believable. The characters in the books are just like real people with real issues and watching them overcome those issues makes you truly feel like you're apart of the book. This author is truly gifted and this was a perfect way to end the series. My only complaint, and I'd barely even call it that, would have been to see Evie with someone from the club just to watch Knox and Utah's reactions 😂. I'm sad to see the series end but it did so on a high note and for that I'm grateful! If you make one right decision today, let it be to begin this series.
UTAH by S. Nelson Knights Corruption MC - Laredo series Book #4 Utah and Ria's story Tropes: MC, Age gap, I'm blown away!!! This book had me drawn in immediately. All the action and danger with the Cartel kept me riveted to the pages! Utah had a miserable upbringing so I was happy when Ria broke through his rigid walls. They both deserve each other and happiness. The chemistry between these two is nuclear. I really enjoyed Ria's sass and how she gave Utah a hard time, just to get under his skin. It was great visiting with all the Knight's Corruption boys and I can only hope the author will bring us more from her KCMC series!!
The Knight Corruption MC are a fierce loyal Brotherhood committed to each other and the women they love.
This story had me on the edge of my seat from the very first chapter. The brotherhoods dangerous situation with the Cartel, hiding a relationship, an unexpected pregnancy, made for a rocky beginning for Ria and Utah.
Utah's difficult past had left him guarded, distrustful of others, and hesitant to open his heart, fearing the loss of those he loved. However, with Ria's love and support, Utah was able to overcome the scars of his past. Together, the brotherhood worked to resolve the situation with the cartel, and ultimately, Ria and Utah found their happily-ever-after.

This is the fourth book in this impressive series, and this is Utah and Ria’s story. Utah battles with the ghosts from his past, and he found solace when he joined the Knights Corruption, and now fate has destined for him to have a soulmate, Ria. Ria knows how to push Utah’s buttons and get through the walls around his heart. This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, loyalty, dram, survival, danger, suspense, intrigue, twists, challenges, palpable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and captivating addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Book 4 in the Knights Corruption Laredo Chapter is Utah and it gets right into the thick of things from the very beginning. It's Utah and Rias story and it's such a great journey. Their story is a bit rocky mostly because of Utahs upbringing but when he finally "sees the light" it's beautiful to see them finally get their HEA. This story will completely engulf its readers, take their breaths away in parts and have you spitting nails in other parts, but from start to finish you'll completely enjoy their journey.
Utah is the final book in the Laredo Chapter of the Knights Corruption. We discover at the end of the last book that Utah and Crash have been kidnapped by their enemy and this book starts from that point. Lots of suspense and a couple of surprises but overall a great ending to this series😍
Utah and Ria have good chemistry and the dynamics between everyone is stellar❣️Loved Rita’s sister Evie and how they rile up Knox, their brother🤣🤣 I can’t wait to see what’s up next by this author…I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❤️
Another strong addition to this series, I couldn't put the book down. S. Nelson did a wonderful job on it, the plot was strong, it's packed with a little of everything. Utah and Ria had a lot of obstacles through their journey, they were strong though, the were made for each other, strong bond, steamy chemistry, the two were well matched, they were for good for one another. I'd suggest reading the story, it's great. Thank you, S. Nelson. Wonderful work :)
OMG. The book started by giving us action immediately. Since then I seen Utah going down hill from there. I was scared the entire book for what he was becoming. But then his love for Ria and their story had me holding out hope. This was a good book. Definitely a page turner. 😊
Wow this book is full throttle from the very beginning! The challenges that Utah and Rita face are quite intense but I love the way they get through it all together. The chemistry and bond between the two is superbly written. Highly recommended!
This was an intense story. Gritty and dark and isn't afraid to touch on triggering topics. Ria and Utah are good together. Both have issues but together they make each other better.
I love a good MC romance. It has lots of suspense, from the first chapter, that had me on edge. The men are tough, dangerous at times but fiercely loyal to not only their club but their women too. Utah had a tough upbringing so it explains a lot of what he’s like, not trusting at first and not wanting to love someone, only to have them taken from him (his thoughts). Ria helped him get through that, even though it was rocky at times they got their happy ending.
