In reading this book I felt like I was reading a journal of my own journey of faith. In warm and personal language, Naomi speaks of her transition from head knowledge about God to heart knowledge of God. I appreciated her vulnerability and intentional purpose in directing the reader back to God Himself rather than formulas for personal transformation. There is just so much I identify with about her struggle to feel anything about God or faith even as she grew in her knowledge of the Bible. This book needs to be in the hands of both new and mature believers. So many walk this same journey, missing the abundant life to found in surrender to God and complete reliance on His Spirit. What a tragedy! The world needs to see Christians who know God in personal, deep intimacy. This is what Jesus died for. It is what He lives for right now as He calls us to abandon our lives to embrace His gospel. It’s a life or death matter as we seek to see God’s kingdom filled with people, each with a precious story and a transformed life! Thank you, Naomi, for sharing your story with us and challenging us to trade dull, lifeless, religious routine for a vibrant, life-giving walk with the Spirit of God every day. Run, don’t walk to get a copy of this book!
