What shenanigans will Mukohda’s self-proclaimed best friend in the whole wide world drag him into this time?

Another pretty enjoyable entry, though this time round that downright deplorable, irritating and annoying elf makes an appearance.

This entry is a nice change of pace from the previous few which were dungeon-centric. And though I actually prefer those more, this kind of pacing has its charms as well. Also, from what I can see, the author as finally decided to kinda mix things up a little so as to make it less expected and repetitive, so kudos there.

Can't wait for the next entry, when we finally get to see those obnoxious Rubanovs get their asses handed to them.

every dragon's least favourite pervy creepy elf is back and that causes some sweet drama. the way he's dealt with makes you feel a bit bad for him but then you remember he's getting his just desserts but then you swing back to pitying him.
we get some more lore-drop and it turns out, it's not that mukohda's party breaks the scale, but it's more that scale might not even exist in the first place. even among their species, fel and gon turn out to be special. and we've been told sui is a special slime from its very first appearance (but not how). so does this mean dora-chan is the only normal one in the party (including mukohda since he's an 0therworlder and everything)?
after twelve books of the only major conflicts in the story being what to cook, there being veggies in fel's food and mukohda's unwillingness to accompany his familiars into dungeons, we finally have a conflict that moves the plot forward, on top of it it's one mukohda is taking charge of.
his familiars, as well as i, tire of mukohda being so meek and wussy all the time but he did have a cool moment towards the end of the volume. i doubt this momentum will continue too far in the next volume, though.
disappointingly, all the bonus stories were mukohda pov's. would've liked to see other povs since we don't really see that in the main story. nevertheless, two of them had sui being super adorable and that's always appreciated.

This was laid-back with a promise of action.

This book in the series in itself was laidback. Mostly just detailing Mukohda's life after coming back from back to back adventures. And to be honest, he deserved the rest! He was busy dungeon-diving and making history and he deserved an easy and relaxing time. Well, if cooking for 4 heavy-eater familiars can be called an easy and relaxing time, nonetheless lol

But it was still a nice read. It's nice reading about them having an easy time and just lazing around. Though the hints of bigger problems and more eventful plot points are something that made me look forward to the rest too.

Elrand, the Church of Rubanov, and even Demiurge!

I'm excited for the next part! I'm jumping right to it!

Pros
- had a lot of action and plot momentum despite coming and going from the estate a lot
- really enjoyed the extra dose of found family vibes as the gang protected the dragons from Elrand and as they looked out for Mukohda in the Heavens Wood
- light hearted and full of joy

Cons
- it does get a little bit repetitive this far in, but it appears the author is trying to mix it up a bit as we go now

Amazing

I'm amazed by how much Mokouda seems to procrastinate stuff. The one religion that tried to shake him up for money doesn't understand to not bother Mokouda. Also for the god of creation to reveal so much to him and give him an Oracle is a big deal. I also found it funny how Elrand thought about joining Mokouda's party. I also enjoyed how much the guildmaster's habe so much responsibilities and can't just quit. Looking forward to the next volume.

Fuera del calabozo y de regreso a Karelina.
Otro tomo relajado y con algunos pequeños accidentes muy divertidos. Estand hizo una aparición especial y desató toda una tormenta, había un nuevo dragón obviamente.
Y la iglesia de Rubanov hizo una nueva aparición que parece será la atracción principal en el siguiente tomo. Ya los hicieron enojar

MC is as usual, nothing but a coward. And seriously, stop using slaves/employees. We get it, the MC bought them, stop shoving it down our throats. We are on volume 13, we are more than aware that our useless MC is a benevolent human who treats his slaves good. I'm sick of this shit. Give him a backbone already.

elrand, you've totally ruined this for me, but the saving grace is that mukohda finally grows a bit of a backbone and kicks him the hell out.

for all his faults, mukohda still treats his familiars like autonomous beings, which of course is kind of the bare minimum. but elrand? seeing a dragon? bruh. I don't think I've encountered a character THIS unlikeable in a LONG time.

Gin settles into the family

The cover illustration for this volume is so fitting because mukhoda spends most of the time in karelina with his battles crazed little family. We see familiar faces, hunting trips and the plot for the next arc emerge in this volume, loved it!

What saved this volume? That Elran is an idiot and it is an overall ridiculous over the top character....but at least it makes me laugh! "I was so overcome with curious envy I practically wept tears of blood!" LMAO! I love Ughol!!! Did not get how the Rubanov thing came out of the blue, but it was entertaining.

What I hated and the reason to remove stars? The town people keep imposing what they call "normal" onto others. We all are different, and as long as nobody is being hurt, mind your OWN damn business. I would have sent them all to hell and left for somewhere else! Also, Mukoda continues to be a doormat selfish wimp.....who cares if others want Fel's hair? It is HIS to give away, NOT yours. Also, all the time they wasted discussing the bathroom upgrade and new houses, which you would not need if you stop being a doormat to others to begin with! Can we also stop the whole "slave/employee" thing? We get it!

Some parts I loved because they made me laugh, but most of the volume I hated because it is the SAME thing over and over.....again this is a cooking adventure series, not a home improvement show. I mean, the name is CAMPfire Cooking. So there you go, 2.5 stars overall. Onto my next adventure, Happy readings!!!

Another relaxing volume. Things get slower in this one, since the team is back home. Honestly, it’s like hanging out with an old friend and hearing about all the random things they had to do around the house.
That being said, I am looking forward to the confrontation with the church in the next volume.
