I didn't think i would enjoy this book as much as i did. I knew i would like it, but i didn't know it would give me all the feels! It reminds me of a lifetime movie, but add more spicyness! From start to finish, you get your FMC & MMC, and follow their story of love, betrayal, heartache, family drama...it gave me all the feels and all the tears 😭

This book follows Genesis Barlow and Robert Wright as the pair tries to find their happy ending.

'Gen' meets 'Robbie' the night of her sister's bachelorette party when she's dared to kiss him as part of a scavenger hunt. What she doesn't know is he's not just some stranger in a bar... HE'S HER NEW BOSS! And, not only that, but he's engaged too!

They start working closely together and Genesis realizes that his engagement is not as it seems and soon, the pair fall in love. Unfortunately, there are some bumps in the road to reach their happily ever after but you'll have to read to see where their journey leads 😄

This is a very fast burn book and it is a pretty quick read (I read it in under a day).

This one is for you if you're looking for a fun workplace romance with a storyline that's easy to read and fast-paced. The meet-cute was fun and and tension and build-up were sweet. Insta-lust and feelings arise quickly.

Tropes:
Instant attraction
Workplace romance
Grumpy/Sunshine
Forced Proximity
Spicy
Third-person POV

Genesis spoke her mind and I liked that about her. She also didn't just sit around waiting for Mr. Wright.

Robert typical alpha growly grump at the beginning till a certain someone brings out his inner sunshine. His pining and jealousy at the beginning were amusing.

Overall I liked their banter. This was a fun, entertaining, fast-paced read.

This was my first book with the “boss/subordinate” trope (yes, yes, not kidding).

Also, I don’t like mentioning any details in reviews, because for me even the eye color of the characters = spoiler.
I’ll just say this: YOU HAVE TO READ THIS. YOU NEED IT!
Ash, as always, writes effortlessly and absolutely never boring!!! Looove it soooo much!

And, sorry for mistakes if it did, because English not my native language 😅.

This was a great read for me! It was a quick, easy and joyful read. Genesis was dared to kiss a man at a bachelorette party and when she goes in for her new job she finds out the handsome man she kissed is her new boss. Love genesis character and how she calms Robert who is way too serious and stressed. The banter between the FMC and MMC is great.
