This is no ordinary love story; it’s about power, betrayal and survival
Blackbriar U isn’t your usual university. It’s where the mafia's kids come out to play and where the lines between the elite and the underworld blur to shades of black.
As the daughter of a feared mafia leader, I’m my own brand of ruthless and I play hard, love harder and don’t play by any rules.
With my black knight at my side we rule over the university but his friends have decided they want a taste as well and I’m not one to shy away from a challenge.
We're not the good guys. We’re the ones you were warned you about. It's not about finding the light at the end of the tunnel. We like it in the dark but as soon as I think we're solid, everything goes sideways, leaving us wrecked. This is a dark academia reverse harem with plenty of TWs. This takes place in an entirely fictional world set in the UK. This is the first book of the Blackbriar University duet.

A gift. A present is supposed to be desirable, an act of kindness. The gifts Victoria receives is none of those things. But who could’ve sent them?
Welcome to Black briar university, the playground for mafia children and they’re growing up. Victoria is the daughter of a feared mafia leader. At the university it’s her time to show what she’s made of.
With the undesirable gifts piling up she’s in need of a crew. First, we have her knight, Cian. He’s fiercely loyal and overprotective. Then we have the tech guy, Luke he’s less caveman and more of a shadow man. Throw in one more deadly guy, Gianluca and we have the perfect potion.
Can they figure out who sending the gifts and keep their position ruling the school?
This is spicy, a bit of a mystery and a few red flags. If you like mafia RH with a caveman quality alpha then this is for you. Crazy ride and enjoyable read.

I think I get way to angry when a concept doesn't go my way. I have to be realistic and not hoping for something more. spoilers ahead.
First off the number of five star reviews truthfully confused me.
Why do I feel like I did cocaine and pressed fast forward on a book and looked back and missed pieces? Oh maybe because there are a TON of missing parts of this book, girl slow down build the plot you have the idea we are here for the ride don't skip everything!!!
What do I mean? let's start with Cian. This dark obsession that is physical and toxic and deeply in love. Cool show us that, give us build up, give us conversation and darkness and maybe an attempt on her life we get to see him get angry about. CREATE THE TENSION. But no, we get him for a few seconds before are already jumping to adding Luke by having our FMC cheat on her boyfriend. We can't dance around that, she was sexting him and had him masturbate in front of her without consent from her partner first. That is cheating. She also then goes nothing with him at all after Cian finds out which honestly made it so much worse.
Dont even get me started on G. like what? There scenes almost seem to play out only in the authors head because I did not see that progression at all. I also sat there for 5 whole minutes in the scene where they talk about it being war now? and her pushing him away? it felt like I missed so much build up and conversations and I didn't so again did it happen in your head and not on paper?
I also feel like scenes are missing or ideas are missing all throughout this book. Everyone is on fast forward. Cian goes from bad boy of campus to head of a ruling mafia family but still defers to her dad? Aren't they equals now? He also I super crazy possessive and trying to figure out her stalker so he just isn't really doing much else. We also don't really see him do anything aside from being jealous and punch people. Is he good to lead his family? He said three sentences and that was it to them.?
We also get an Earl who is a hacker and that's all the info we have, Luke doesn't really exist in this book aside from being someone she cheats with and causes a problem. Also is this a just mafia school? Violence okay? The lack of build up made the whole royalty and mafia thing extremely confusing. Who is Luke? Why is he so tapped into the Mafia world? He also isn't a super consistent character in the book I don't really have a read on him at all by the end.
Then we get a prince of a foreign country that may or may not be dealing with a coupe? and a rivalry with a neighboring country? The only other info we get is he's tired of hooking up and doing anal. He also has never talked to our MC really before he had to watch her and is certain she is the woman for him. It just does not add up.
Honestly just such poor execution of these ideas. All of this could work of just taken in a slower manner. The plot however needs work. Three days Four days? and we get how many boxes. BUILD. THE. SUSPENSE. Jesus even her big bad boogie man from her teen years isn't a real threat because there is zero build up. No nightmares, or flashbacks, or really anything. We get baseline elusion to it but we move so fast we don't get to build up the hatred or the dislike or the need to be afraid. And idk what else is going on in the plot. zero. because again so much is happening and so quickly that it's hard to make a connection and care.
overall, concept is great sign me up. execution was just bad.
The relationship between Cian and Victoria is definitely full of red flags. But I do run at those like a bull 🤷♀️ Their crazy matches each other and leaves just enough space for Luke and Gianluca (who i desperately want to know more about), definitely diving into book 2 straight away ❤️ Brilliant writing as always for this Dark Mafia RH.
DNF at 42%. Based on reviews I am in the minority on this book. As the RH is “forming” the FMC is just going behind her boyfriend’s back to mess with his best friends. That’s not RH, it’s cheating. They need to get rid of some stress so they go out to a club where they use the FMC as “bait” with her dressing or lack of “dressing” so guys hit on her. Then the FMC and MMCs initiate a fight with these guys and beat/stab/kill them. That’s not dark, that’s pointless.

A dark Mafia romance with likable (to me) anti-heroes. We met Victoria (FMC) briefly in The Crestmont University books and I was dying to read more about her. We certainly do in this book. She's a Mafia Princess but she's not a pampered one and in no way a push-over. More so with Cian who she has an explosive dynamic with. The sparks definitely fly between these two characters both inside and outside of the bedroom. Cian has a very much touch her and die relationship with Victoria that is very much toxic in normality but I couldn't help but like in this book. Add to this dynamic Luke and Gianluca who I don't think have enough book time (For me) for me to gauge the level of hotness these two guys bring (lol). Wrecked was a cracking read with characters I liked from the first chapter.
Eve Newton has really outdone herself with this series! If you love a super dark mafia romance this book is for you! Victoria a Mafia princess is in danger and along side her are the men that will burn the world down with their love for each other. Cian the main man in charge along by their side is Gianluca dark and deadly, and Luke a tech genius. If you love a dark and spicy duet this is for you!
We all know Eve is amazing at making her characters come To life on the page and all the plot and smut just jumps from each page to. From the begging I was hooked on Victoria and Cian. Their story is dark and twisty but with it comes a bond unlike any other. A bond formed in troubling times can with stand anything right? Well her men are certainly there to prove that their mafia princess is just that… She’s theirs… and they will burn the world down for her
When I didn’t think I could like any other characters in this world more than the Queen and her Kings along comes Victoria, Cian and the two men at his side. I loved how through all their different struggles and trauma they all are able to trust each other and show their love in their own ways. This is the dark romance I’m here for. So glad I don’t have to wait for the next book because the first one left me on the edge of my seat.
If you start reading this book, don't plan on doing anything else because it will suck you right in. We met Victoria in a different book, and I have been wanting to know more ever since. And this checks all the boxes
Action packed from the very first page. Cian is a very possessive and dangerous man. Watching him learning to share Victoria is going to be interesting. There’s also the mystery of a stalker. Eve keeps you guessing all the way to that fantastic cliffhanger! So glad both books in the duet were released at the same time! No screaming at the author (and the kindle!) waiting for a resolution.
This reads like an unbetaed fanfic. The sex scene sounds like the author came up with it after eavesdropping on her teenage sister talking dirty to her 34 year old boyfriend.
so there is "cheating," so if that's a TW, just be aware. so the story is typical of a lot of other Mafia University Style books. the problem is it's lacking in World building and depth of the characters. like for instance we're told that one of the reasons 1 of the MCs went to this specific school was because of their father had gone there. but it's never really acknowledged if it's a crime/mafia university or if there is just the organizations there at a normal university. they also mentioned some sort of society on campus but I can't remember the name of it. I don't know it feels like we kind of like we're dropped into the middle of a story and are missing the first three chapters And they just sprinkle random things Throughout the chapters Instead of Covering those things like the society Club On campus. there's a point in this story where they go out to a local Club and they murder people there. then there's another scene in the beginning where they murder someone else and it's just kind of unrealistic on the amount of murder they're doing especially if they're at a normal university. then there's also this other storyline where the FMC is getting like stalker boxes on their front porch. idl it just feels like alots going on and nothings really being explained.

I really tried to enjoy this but... I just couldnt gel with it.
The storyline was a bit flimsy. A modern attempt at bonnie and Clyde with Victoria and Cian. But almost immediately were thrown into a heavy want relationship between Victoria and Cians "brother" Like, starting hot and heavy with series sexting... It just felt... I don't know.... Like I've missed a chunk of background..?
Cian is a quick to anger, possessive, obsessed character and those traits go double for Victoria... But it's OK to share her?
It felt like I was missing something.
The box left on the step would have been interesting but it was overshadowed with the "love story." And of course Cian was about to come head of the Irish Mafia....this again was rushed in...
It needed a bit more depth in all of it. The sexual acts happened too quick... Or maybe they didn't I don't Know..
I apologise to the author. I really did try to like it. It did have potential but it felt like I was missing parts....

Personally, I just didn't care for the book. I wish I could pinpoint one specific thing I didn't like about the book but I can't. Overall, the writing is well done. The characters are well written. The main character is strong yet broken. The male lead is exactly as promised. The plot is good. I think I needed more of their backstory flushed out. I didn't feel like I really knew much about the characters themselves. Overall, I would probably recommend the book to my friends. And I'm going to try to push through book two to see if I can finish the duet.

eh nothing special, I didn't like the writing very dramatic(?) and saying the same sentence multiple different ways but it was fast felt like an hour and I was done sooo there's that I guess🤷♀️🤷♀️
Wrecked is a wickedly dark, deliciously dangerous and pacy reverse harem academia story that is packed with suspense, tension, toe curling and spine tingling moments that leave you on the edge of your seat. Far from the lighthearted, this story is packed with darkness and so the trigger warnings will need to be read from the offset. Do not dive in blind!
Victoria knows all about darkness and dangerous. Brought up around ruthless, hard hearted and dangerous worlds - Victoria knows how the game needs to be played and she plays it well. Savage and passionate, Victoria knows who she can rely on to rule over the empire she is a part of. However, she should know…life always throws a dangerous curveball. When Victoria is faced with the past, can she weave her way through the haunting experiences and the hurt to find her way back to what she truly wants and desires? Will her past prove to be a part of her armour or the very thing that breaks it?
Savage, ruthless, spine tingling, delicious…this was everything my blackened soul needed and more. I was on the edge of my seat, fingers gripping the sides and desperately finding all the time I could to read. The story was pacy, packed and almighty punch and absolutely had me hooked from the very first page. Victoria had my heart from the second I realised how incredible a woman she was. Fearless, even when challenged, brave, strong and so unafraid to be herself. Her men. Savage, wild and strong…they were everything. I absolutely adore this world. I adored this story. Once again, Eve proves she can do no wrong!
Are you looking for a Dark mafia romance that sends shivers down your spine, and tingles to your toes? With a Psycho MMC, addictive obsessions and love? A little bit (or a lot of bit) unhinged? Wrecked by Eve Newton is the book for you. Cian is insane, for Victoria, and Victoria is such a strong character she is able to handle anything that comes her way, including Luke and Gianluca ;) Ok yes their love is a little bit Toxic, but aren't the best romances always a little bit toxic? Romeo and Juliet, Joker and Harley? Yes this is a Dark Romance, but it is OH so Good! I am so glad that the 2nd book is released with this one! I did not want to stop reading, Victoria is so amazing, yes she is a little derailed and deranged and maybe a dash of insane, but a FMC who is sweet and a psycho? I am all here for it!!

I could not put this book down!!! I was instantly hooked by Cian and Victoria. Eve has a way of writing thier characthers where thier chemistry jumped off the page! (I had to fan myself down!!). Then you have the ever watchful Luke and the charmingly forward Gianluca. Victoria is a bada$$ FMC, slightly unhinged from her past (part real, part her persona), but she holds her own with these Mafia Boys. When her past collides with her present... Victoria's men get even more possessive and protective and holy cow... I am there for the party!
If you like Mafia reverse harem with twisted characters, then this book is for you. Victoria is a take charge, doesn't take sh#t MFC who knows exactly what she wants and goes after it . Cian is the MMC who is overly crazy for his woman and willing to do whatever she wants, just because he loves her. Overprotective, possessive, dark, Cian is a great book boyfriend. Then add in Luke and Gianluca and a stalker who all want Victoria. The storyline sucks you in, and you never want it to end. I would recommend this book for everyone.
Absolutely loving this story!!! This story is a RH dark mafia story and I absolutely devoured it. Love love these characters. Victoria is such a strong character. I really like her. Then again I really like all the guys in this story. Cian is insane for Victoria. Plus add in Luke and Gianluca and wow. Story has lots of action from start to finish. Also let’s not forget steam. This story definitely made my entire day. Highly recommend reading.
Can I have a new favorite? If so this is it for sure. Dark, gritty but I love it for sure. It tells the story of Victoria and Cian. We've met them before and this is their story. Set in a mafia university Black Briar and Victoria is the queen there for sure. Cian is obsessed and possessive of her but life might just throw a curveball. Can he deal? Also what is happening with Gianluca and Luke? Diving in book 2 right away! Rubbing my hands out of excitement.
Victoria Badass FMC that takes crazy to the next level, Cias and his best friends Luke and GiasLuka also ground Victoria with their own strengths. Victoria and the guys territory is being threatened and they are not willing to take it laying down, especially when Victoria is also being threatened and stalked. This wild adventure leaves us with a cliffhanger be prepared.
