Reading poetry always feels like getting a glimpse into the soul of the author. All those poems are so personal, raw and emotional! Some poems resonate better with me than others, but that's normal with something this personal. Poetry doesn't always say something about the poet, it also says something about the reader. It mostly says something about their shared experiences. I still have to read them aloud to appreciate them and these ones didn't hit as hard as a previous collection by the same author, but I'm still looking forward to more!
