Wish Upon A Frog

Rate this book
A gender-swapped Cinderella/Frog Prince mash up....

A prince’s kindness to a humble frog is repaid when she turns into a lovely woman–but only in the dark of night.

Liesa is having a very bad day—she lost her memory, she fell into a pond, and worst of all she’s been turned into a frog. When the disgraced younger son of the king takes pity on her and sneaks her into the castle, things are finally looking up.

When night falls, she’s transformed back into her proper form—just in time to share the charming prince’s bed. Unfortunately when the sun returns, so does her clammy frog body and she’s no closer to recovering her memories.

Can a humble prince and a forgetful frog figure out how to break her curse before she’s trapped forever?

***Steamy and not suitable for younger readers***

I am a sucker for a fairytale retelling and with this story I basically get one and a half. The half point would be for the Cinderella portion as with the exception of a few elements that may align with that particular tale it really isn't much to say it is a mash up of it..

Since of the story's briefness there are a couple of plot points that haven't been addressed even by the end of the book, the telling was partially guessable and the personalities for the most part are implied for Liesa since she can't really remember anything when in one form and spicily one-minded in the end.

It was definitely an interesting take, though on both the fairytale and fantasy fronts for those who don't mind spicy shorts for a brief distract.
