A salacious tale of Victor and Ellie who become insatiably addicted to each other.
Victor desires what any man does and isn't afraid to get it. Only now does he hesitate with the one person in the world he shouldn't crave. Ellie.
Ellie longs to be desired. Wanting to break away from Mother's abusive manipulation and definition of perfect to be her own self.
One masked encounter later, and Victor and Ellie become entangled in an illicit relationship. When faced with an impending separation, the two of them devise a plan to stay together.
Will their plan fall apart, or will they live happily ever after in sinful bliss?
Iolanda S. is from Trenton, NJ and has always dreamed of being a writer. She has written short stories and poetry featured on her old DeviantArt page (remember that?) and also has written scripts and has acted in short films. Writing has been a passion of hers for a long time and she is so glad to finally pull the trigger and self-publish. When she isn't not writing, she keeps plenty busy. She enjoys spending time down the shore surfing, swimming and bike riding. She also loves reading, hanging with friends, going to concerts and spending quality time with her husband and black cat Batty.
This was a gutsy first novel. The subject matter is taboo but the author doesn't come off like she's just trying to shock us. Super hot with writing that flows easily, making it a pretty quick, fun read
Keep in mind, I'm pretty certain this is set in the UK where the age of sexual consent is 16. If that is disturbing to you to read about then... maybe it's not for you.
I did enjoy this book, the first half especially was very well done and I really liked the build up to the relationship, seeing the family dynamics and the way Victor and Ellie played out their relationship beginnings.
Unfortunately after about 60-70% in around the time that , the story takes a turn away from the well written beginning and relies more on explaining what happened and fast tracking the wrap up of the story.
The positive: I liked a lot of things about this book - I was first drawn to it because I rarely see an FMC with the same name as me, so an Ellie as the FMC was really fun to read. I loved seeing a taboo romance where the characters don't hate each other!!! Finally! I love taboo but it's a bit of an overdone concept that the characters go from hate to love nearly every time, so this was very refreshing to see it written from a totally opposite perspective. The pacing in the first two thirds of the book is well done, and the story in general is well written until we hit the snag towards the end of the book. I loved that it's the mother that was the difficult/abusive parent in this, so many things that the mother did in this book reminded me of my own experiences and it was really cathartic to see that in a book and see another example that mothers can be fucked up too.
The negative:
There was a lot of "this happened" towards the end, which made the events feel like they lacked interest or feeling, which sucked because I really enjoyed the first part of the book.

🥵 We have fraternal twins who after a short time of teasing each other, realize they have hella inappropriate feelings for each other. Unfortunately for them, their alcoholic mom has an image to uphold, but unfortunately for mom, twins in love are batshit and will do anything to be together.
Yea, this story is cracked, but if you've spent time in my 'Read' list, then you know this is nothing new 😎
Definitely high on the spice meter. A quick novella too. Not too bad for a first time author either. I definitely recommend it if you aren't afraid of triggers and love lots of 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶. It may not be for everyone but it was definitely for me!
Immediate no when on one of the first few pages we have a six year old watching porn and touching their 'aching loins' Appallingly bad writing, really cringey and uncomfortable - so put off by the above! DNF at like 6%
After preparing myself for the TR's I was able to read the book in an evening. I found it to be very interesting, though I had to alter my mind a bit to get over the TR hump. No spoilers here - but I did find it to be disturbing in a delightful twisted way.
This kind of trope us usually not my thing but holy cow! Victor is a dreamboat that you can't help but fall for from the beginning. This is definitely a mostly smut read if that's what you're looking for! I'm here for it.
