You can't go wrong with a Granny Appleton cozy mystery by Missy Tarantino. Her books are light-hearted, entertaining, and well-written, offering engaging mysteries without relying on language or sex to hook the reader. Instead, they’re packed with charm, wit, and just the right amount of small-town chaos to keep things interesting.
Quacking the Case is no exception. This story kept me guessing about the mystery right until the end, while the antics of the dwarf goats and hilarious ducks had me laughing throughout. Granny Appleton is as delightful as ever, proving once again that age is no barrier to solving crimes—or getting into a bit of mischief along the way. The supporting cast, both human and animal, adds even more warmth and humor, making this book a joy to read from start to finish.
