I only agreed to one weekend.

I knew it was a bad idea before I let my best friend talk me into going. But I was never good at telling her no, even if it meant spending the weekend before Christmas in the mountains with Chelsea, her fiancé, and his too-much-of-a-smart-aleck-for-anyone’s-good best friend. I knew it was going to be a disaster. I just didn’t know that disaster would come in the form of too few beds and too much snow. Now I was stuck with two choices—brave the snow to get back to Hazy Cove or put up with Wade for a few extra days.

Bridget was the highest maintenance person I knew. So why did I agree to spend a weekend in the mountains with her and our so-in-love-it’s-annoying best friends? It was just supposed to be a couple of days of good views, plenty of drinks, and seeing how many times I could get her to roll her eyes. What could possibly go wrong? Then it started to snow, and when we were suddenly trapped in the small cabin, I wanted to take care of her. Whether she wanted to let me or not.

One weekend wasn’t going to be enough.

About the author

Meg Becker received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing from the University of Kansas, but she has known she'd be a writer since she wrote her first story in the first grade. Today, she finds herself at home in a field of sunflowers, by a lake in the mountain, or anywhere with a good view, but she resides in Kansas City with her amazing husband that is nothing like the broody men she writes about in her books. She's a sucker for a happy ending, and she can often be found reading with an iced coffee or glass of red wine, quite possibly both.

When she's not reading or writing spicy romance, Meg is likely learning a new hobby, cuddling with her two dogs and cat, or performing the soundtrack to RENT from behind the steering wheel of her car. This novella was a nice and easy quick read that drew me in from the beginning. Some of my favorite tropes, enemies to lovers, just one bed, and forced proximity, also helped. I found myself being really drawn in by the characters and at times found myself laughing out loud at Wades antics and Bridgets responses. Definitely got into the spice pretty quick 🥵 “You can stay and watch me finish if you want….or you can join”

But also had super sweet moments sprinkled in that gave me the butterflies in the stomach feeling for them. If I could change anything about this novella it would be to have it longer and more in depth because I loved the story and characters so much 💕.

Seduction & Snowflakes is part of the multi-authored Christmas in Hazy Cove series. It's a short and super-steamy, OTT, enemies-to-lovers, forced-proximity, one-bed, small-town, girl gets her hunk Christmas romance. Bridget and Wade go to a cabin to spend Christmas with their besties. The two don't exactly get along but have chemistry in spades... and when they get stuck in a snowstorm together... they about burn the cabin down!! Holy hotness. This was a hot and spicy, short erotic Christmas romance with a happy ending. I loved it.

Meg Becker wrote a fun, sizzling, hot holiday novella. I started this book and finished it within 2 hours because I had to see what was going to happen. There is a plot, but the spiciness happening between our two MCs definitely takes front and center.

Bridget and Wade can’t stand each other, but reluctantly agree to go to the snow with their best friends (who happen to be engaged) for the weekend. When they arrive, the promise of three rooms is shattered as they realize there is actually only one bedroom and a pull out couch. It’s going to be a long weekend. Their best friends decide to drive to a small town a few hours away and neither wants to be a third wheel so they stay behind, convinced they can handle one day ignoring each other. A snow storm picks up quickly and they find themselves snowed in, alone.

As they spend time together, their feelings of dislike continue, but their attraction to one another grows. Finally giving in to their needs, they find enjoyment in each other, but you don’t have to like someone to be satisfied by them, do you? But as snow continues to come down outside, making it impossible for their friends to come back and either of them to go anywhere, they continue to give into their primal needs. Soon they find themselves talking and getting to know each other and, gasp, actually liking each other. What happens though when the snow does stop and they return to normal life?

This book is full of witty banter, hot AF spicy scenes, and fun as we watch these two enemies find exactly what they have always been looking for in each other. I loved watching both their walls come down. I also really loved that there was no weirdness between them after coming home and they didn’t fight what had started. This is a duet, the other story being about their best friends, and both are great books to curl up with and have fun reading.

First off I’m a sucker for an enemies to lovers book. Secondly pause for blushing.

Meg Becker has done it again. I will always pick up her books if I can! If you need a perfect quick Christmas read with lots of spice this is the one. You won’t be disappointed. Bridget and Wade get put in a situation where they are forced to tolerate each other and it was the best thing that could have happened to them. The setting is a cabin in the mountains with not enough space for these enemies to be able to avoid one another. Then they’re left alone by their friends and everything you could want out of a mountain cabin getaway with a sexy man is what you get.

If you hate Christmas, romance, sexy people, or spice of any kind don’t read this.

The story of friendship and romance make “Seduction & Snowflakes” a great holiday read. The characters are well rounded and well written. The details and dynamics between Wade & Bridget as well as Grahm & Chelsea results into their journey of fun, friendship, adventure, and steam. Author, Meg Becker, did such a good job of weaving this story between keeping me engaged as well as entertained. This small town, enemies to lovers romance is easy to read, full of antics, humor, wonderful characters, & steam - all with a HEA. This is my first time reading this author and plan to read more of her works. I recommend this book.

I didn't quite understand why Wade and Bridget were at odds with each other. The bickering hid an underlying current of attraction but the reason for the bickering wasn't quite clear to me. I do like that they didn't truly hate each other; they were more annoyed with each other than anything. Giving into their attraction was inevitable and the story went from mildly amusing to inferno hot in just a few pages.

Although this story occurs during Christmas, it doesn't really have a lot to do *with* Christmas itself. Unless holiday magic is to be partially credited for their happy ending, lol. It's an overall enjoyable story with great characters who start off at odds and end up in perfect sync.

Snowflakes and seduction

Short Christmas novella, and it's enemies to lovers, which is one of my favorite tropes, add in forced proximity, and one bed, and it can only happen once I'm sold.

Wade and Bridget find themselves on a weekend getaway trip with their engaged best friends. They both hate each other, she thinks he's an ass, and he thinks she's uptight. After arriving at the cabin and what they thought was a 3 bedroom was just 3 rooms. These two bickered so much 😂

Graham and Chelsea leave to go to a shop in town, but it's 2 hours away. The snow starts flying, and Wade and Bridget are stuck in the cabin together. They try to avoid each other, but it doesn't last long.

The power at the cabin goes out too, so I bet you know what happens next!

Seduction & Snowflakes by Meg Becker ARC Review.

This was a beautiful and SPICY 🥵 small town romance. What a breath of fresh air to get myself ready for the holiday season. This small town romance did not disappoint.
Bridget and Wade are enemies at first, but being stuck in a cabin can change that real quick. Coming in at just under 150 pages this was a quick story that I never wanted to end.

I highly recommend this story to anyone who needs a little quick pick me up that’s spicy but satisfying. I even picked up book “1” written by Eliza Black, as I don’t wish to leave Hazy Cove just yet.

Wade and Bridget. Her best friend Chelsea talked her into going to the mountains with her, her fiance and his irratating arragont friend. She just knew she would live to regret it. He was wondering why he said yes to spend a weekend in the mountain with the highest maintenance person he ever knew and their so in love best friends. They both thought what could go wrong. Then it started snowing and they were stuck. Their bickering was like foreplay. And then it was that thin line between love and hate that they crossed and boy did it get warm. Loved this short sexy wintery read.

Well I don’t think Wade and Bridget would have needed to start a fire to stay warm with all the heat that was going on between them.
Characters were very cute and relatable and the frenemies to lovers was perfect for the cabin story.
The story was a fast read and perfect for a snowy day read.
Good spicy scenes plus some jealousy made wade a great character and I could definitely see him being with Bridget with how their opposite personality attracted to each other.

I have been in a rut and already want the Christmas season to hit hard. I read this in less than 24 hrs. It's not very Christmasy, but it was packed with spice. There is no depth to the characters, and I'm ok with it. Wade is a menace, he known what he is starting. There is more spice scene than some 300-400 page books. Despite being short, it wrapped up well and gave a HEA. It takes place around Christmas but gives more stranded in a small place during a snow storm how will we entertain each other vibes.

Bridget didn’t like Wade because of his cocky attitude. Bridget and Wade were suddenly trapped in the cabin because of a blizzard. Would they be able to survive being alone in the cabin? Sharing a weekend in a cabin with friends turns into a fuss when there's only one bed. Then an already hate filled relationship between Wade and Bridget escalates when just the two of them are left stranded at the cabin in a snowstorm.

This is a enemies to lovers, forced proximity trope that more than fulfills its promise of seduction and snowflakes. Spicy, cute, warmhearted. A great short for the festive season.

The Perfect Gift . . .

Bridget had her doubts about this trip to the mountains, but she let Chelsea talk her into it. The trip would include the two of them, plus her fiance Graham and his annoying best friend Wade. When the snow arrived, she wasn’t sure whether she should try to drive through it and get home before she was snowed in, or tolerate Wade’s annoying presence until it was safe to travel. But oddly, once they were snowed in, Wade became more protective of her. Was this change in behavior about to turn into something more?

Loved the banter between Wade and Bridget. Getting snowed in with each other made it even more intense. There are plenty of sex scenes sprinkled in there. And he's got a pierced dick too? Yes, please! I enjoyed watching Wade break down Bridget's walls. He is solid book-boyfriend material. Bridget has no problems letting you know how she feels about something. It’s a light-hearted, funny, and all-around good read.

Honestly, this book wasn’t what I imagined going in, but I wasn’t disappointed at all. It’s not what I regularly read in terms of spice level, but I really enjoyed it! The story jumps right in with a quick pace, and the characters are adorable. Despite being a novella, I found the characters well-written and full of depth, would recomend if you'd like a cozy read now before the christmas time.

I usually don't prefer enemies to lovers but the premise sounded good and I am glad I took the chance. This was very good. I liked the characters, although Bridget and Wade had to grow on me,bad well as their friends, Chelsea and Graham. The story is short, funny and pretty spicy! It's short but not lacking, I enjoyed the book and the author.

You generally can't go wrong with a snowed in enemies to lovers trope for an enjoyable winter themed short read with some spice.
However, I prefer it when I can see why the main characters start out as enemies and here I sort of got the feeling that they were hating each other just for the sake of hating each other and for no apparent reason.

This was my first holiday romance, so I went in with zero expectations and came out with brand new standards for men. Again! It was a lot shorter than I expected, given that it's a novella, but it was a nice read for someone who isn't familiar with the holiday season (I don't really celebrate Christmas). Overall, a pretty good story.

What was a bit wearing was the continued childish assertions from Bridget after the relationship with Wade changed and the naivety around her boss’s intentions. Still great hate sex and a happy ending.

POV: Your friend convinces you to go on a mountain cabin trip right before Christmas, only for you to be stuck in said cabin with your enemy.

I love a good enemies-to-lovers trope, and this one hit perfectly. Meg Becker did not disappoint with Seduction & Snowflakes. I loved the banter, the drama, and, of course, the spice was spicing perfectly. Such a good, quick, spicy Christmas romance.
